(A couple of people asked me seeing as I had been doing a bunch of videos with just the Ditto x4 recently).
I had a nice cruisy Sunday show today, and it was a pretty windy and wet Auckland day, but I managed to set up my camera to capture a couple of tunes so I could actually share them with you :)
If you're actually reading this, and you enjoyed the video, let me know in the comments so I can make more of this type of thing (depending on the shows etc and where I can film and have time to set up etc).
This was shot from 'Moa Cove' at the Wreck Bar, which is part of the Auckland Fish Market. Love playing here, and especially when the weather is nice! haha :P
If you listen closely I think you'll be able to steal any parts of this loop version that you like - chords are Dm, Em, Am throughout (but I'm tuned to Eb in case you're wondering).

hey Timothy - no way 'around it' - you simply upload the video and the owner of the copyright material chooses to leave it online or bans it etc. Once the copyright is matched to another owner (not you), they have the choices on what happens with the video.

I use the TC helicon Voicelive 3 pedal - amzn.to/2kZMUDV - it's no longer available but the VL3 extreme version is. If you want to copy my sound though - it's adding an overdrive pedal and a delay pedal onto my acoustic guitar sound. Maybe you have them around and could experiment or come up with something that works for you!

thanks Ray! output from the desk into the Zoom H4n, and blended with a bit of the live audio from the H4n mic's as well so it gives the sound that was actually in that space as well. Hope that helps!

Please tell me - did you specially train to sing while playing with your face and smiling? Hi! I'm so glad you are now playing this! Singing wise I did a bunch of training through the 'Sing with Freedom' program from Per Bristow that helped me a lot. Made me realise that the muscles I need to sing aren't related to what my face is really doing haha! It actually helped me a lot with my voice, you'll see me talking about various things online of how much I appreciated the program! Cool that you are watching from Russia! 👌

Hi Clency, at the moment I won't be doing this sorry, but would suggest playing the youtube video at 50% speed and figuring out each little riff. When it's slower it becomes much easier to work out and copy 😊

Hey Robert, thanks! I did a video where I go through the exact settings I have on the VL3 for my bass sound - you'll maybe need to tweak things based on your own guitar tone but here's the link - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nuHHrEDVF30.html. Also, I find the VL3 to be SUPER picky about playing just the note that you want with no other noise at all or it gets thrown off - you're probably aware it's not the greatest at tracking for the octave effect, but that helped me out also with it making sure to dampen all other strings and possible noise! :) Let me know how you get on!

Thanks! - Yeah I haven't taken my camera to many gigs because often there's not a great spot to be able to set up to capture a shot, but this worked pretty well (just had to sacrifice my feet for my face in this shot haha). Will try and get everything in at another show somewhere soon :)

Thanks so much! Honestly this is one of those questions I really don't know how to answer haha! I'm pretty much just sticking to an A minor scale through all of this solo, so perhaps that is useful to you? (also, it will be Abm as I'm tuned to Eb if you're playing along or transcribing any of it).

@@vincentmahe9274 This is a Takamine ND15c. It hasn't been modified in any way. I suggest playing a bunch of different guitars to find what you like - every one is different in some way!

Funky rendition! I was hoping you were going to trick out the vocal refrain in the end (like the recording) with some vocal loops but great job non the less!

I do that sometimes too! I've been enjoying playing the vocal refrain and playing a harmony line on the guitar at the moment, but for some reason neither appeared in this rendition haha!
