someone wrote in the comments: _"look how far they've got now"._ a few thoughts on that: le sserafim and ive don't do anything that you haven't seen before. and their concepts are, with all due respect, overused, outdated and quite americanized. moreover they seem more or less like copies of blackpink, twice and some other groups. back then, iz*one had the unique selling point of being the most elegant kpop girl group. namely the “adult” elegant one, not the “youthful” elegant one. no one could hold a candle to them. now there is no such thing in kpop anymore. wjsn maybe. they are very chic. don't get me wrong...i still like all 12 former iz*one members, and the other girls of le sserafim and ive are nice too, but _"got far"_ is simply exaggerated. sakura and chaewon have changed alot. but not for the better. yujin and wonyoung changed too. in iz*one they were individual and especially unique characters, now they are (more or less) just mainstream, confusable and interchangeable. and the remaining eight: hyewon releases a song every now and then and makes videos on yt. but there are hundreds and hundreds of videos of this style from other koreans. so it's nothing new or interesting. yena, yuri and chaeyeon also release songs from time to time, but they are not particularly successful (unfortunately this is the common curse of solo artists in kpop). nako is an actress and hitomi is a singer. both live in japan. both are semi-successful. but outside of japan both have been rather forgotten. only eunbi could be described as relatively successful. and minju, who acts very diligently and keeps getting better and better. *by the way:* _this is my personal, factual and peaceful point of view, and it's not meant to be an insult against anyone._
I disagree to many things that you said here esp on iz*soloists that you said that not successful. chaeyeon got back on track on 'Knock'. Yuri got her on Love shhh as she got her first win. Yena got hers too but last one is just yuehua's fault that the hype went down. on Hiinako, you're clearly wrong. They AREN'T FORGOTTEN. whenever they have a gig in korea, it's always made a hype. semi-successful? Bro, Hiichan centered songs are high charted and got huge sales while Nako's drama ratings are consistently good and trending during it's run.
regarding on le sserafim and ive. their concepts and music are NOT OVERRATED or anything like that. it's always unique and refreshing. both tried to experiment but still successfully doing it. their music is consistent on the concept/image of the group unlike that little blackpink who's an obvious carbon copy of bp. their music is just same old sht.
OT12 is successful on their own paths after iz*one. really funny to see you saying that iz*soloists got the post grouo curse when they're all became more successful than ioi which is pristin, gugudan, weki meki and DIA are already drowned and forgotten. Iz*one broke the post group curse PERIOD
