The Engwe website states 60nm max torque, where did you see the 80nm figure? Nice review btw, but maybe try to be a bit more critical in future though for a review so it doesn't seem as much like an advertisement. Otherwise good content.

Exactly, a trick I used with my Kona hardtail...

So having received my bike, I feel compelled as a customer to add a customers review. 1) the rear suspension didn't work 2) it arrived with a broken motor cutoff wire. 3) the drive chain was chewing off the sidewall of the tire. 4) no customer support I wouldn't recommend anyone dealing with this company.

Thank you!! It will be a little tricky and requires DIY but yes. Just need to take apart the thumb throttle and use those wires and match with any twist throttle with the same handlebar size.

@@ShivaSapkota I started following you to fix my Jetson Bolt Pro. Still need help aligning the back tire after changing it. I live in a city and work in the city. 4 mi transport to work. I have abandoned my car for an e bike. I need a more reliable and durable e bike than the bolt pro for that daily ride. This looks like it with the same advantage of fitting in SUV if needed.

@@djones1379cleo This is a great ebike for the purpose but honestly if you just need it for a 4 mile transport in the City, you should look more in the $500-$800 range. Those ebikes are very reliable for a quick commute. Or even some of the electric scooters like the Kaabo Mantis 8 or Eskute Es Max.

@@ShivaSapkota those are good recommendations. I travel about 8 miles 5 days a week. The road is not always smooth and my Jetson bolt pro does not absorb true terrain well. I like the shock absorption features in the Engwe design. I like the ability to travel 20-30 miles to places outside the city. It seems their design has long term reliability. What do you think of their need for maintenance? The Engwe T14 350w mini evoke is less the $500 and looks like a good model. The EP-2 Pro 750 looks just like the one you reviewed at $1,100

Look at review by LA hover bikes, it held up well for him in almost only wet conditions. I want to buy this too for a rainy country so I plan to use clear perspex to protect the rear hub and also the screen + buttons. For the rear wheel I will measure and cut three or four pieces of perspex to perfectly attach to the rear alloy spokes via drilled holes + black cable ties with the ends snipped off for aesthetics. I will also need to allow air flow for the motor however so I will have to leave some gaps in the perspex on each side of the wheel for that. For the screen, throttle and buttons I aim to either make a kind of 4 sided perspex box to fit over each of them individually or else a single larger 4 sidedperspex box that would act as a wind shield also. I can cut the perspex to fit onto the handlebars and then secure with cable ties. For the wiring I will use cable tidies and plumbing tape on any areas I think could use it. If LA hoverbikes did all he did on his without any of that extra work and his bike is fine so far then I'm pretty sure mine will be after all these mods.

With just throttle it got 32 MPH with pedaling and throttle it was getting around 40. I wouldn't trust the display at 40 but you can easily hit that 32MPH even just with throttle. Thanks.

I actually tested the speed with a GPS after this review and I can confirm that the display was pretty accurate at 27-30 MPH average going on a flat road. I don't have a meter to test the wattage unfortunately. Thank you.

That’s a bummer. I also notice the seat has been changed I think, just right after all the reviewers say their compliments about the comfort of the seat and the lovely screen too smh 🤦🏻‍♂️

It is currently available on the EU official website, and the ENGINE PRO upgrade model has a USB charging port for charging your smart phones.

@@kirstiewileyay6323 It doesn't ship withe green display I only had mine a month and the website says they only ship this new display, but it's not a bad display btw - just not the green one. Also my bad I checked mine and the usb port is at the front of the new display rather than the back :)

It's less powerful and uses cheaper parts here and there which is why it's cheaper.
