Thanks for the video. It has got me super excited to get mine.it is in transit as we speak .I am going to use it to commute to class 14.6 MI one way my question to you is do you think that I will have a problem with the range? And how much do you weigh does that affect the performance ? Cuz I'm about 215 pounds
I want to make a range video this week, but I think with the rides I've done I can tell you with confidence that you won't have any problems with range even if you're full out on the throttle. My last ride I did 25.5 miles on the SECONDARY battery. I didn't even touch the main battery. I was left at 32% at the end. That trail is something like a 4% grade since it was an old rail line so take that into consideration. I'm 180 lbs then I have a water backpack, but not much else on since I haven't gotten a rear bag yet. It's 29.2ah between the two at 48volts giving right around 1400 watt hours. I don't know of many bikes especially in this price range that beat that. I can't speak on performance with a lot more weight, but it's great for me. We need more hill tests to find out what its limits are. I think it would be great for commuting. Setting PAS 0-9 with how you like, plenty of cruise control speeds for when you don't want to exert yourself on the commutes. It's comfortable with maybe a slight lean forward so you're not perfectly upright unless you make some changes to the handlebars. I hope you enjoy yours as much and that the shipping process goes well. Let me know if you can or if you have any other questions I might can help with!
@@jammyfofo1 Not good 10-13 miles combo pedal assist 3-5. I should have gotten the 52v 25 ah double capacity of my current battery 1" extra height or 52v 14 ah same size 33% more capacity. You can build a breast with Coinage get the 1000w bafang it will blow easy pass the Engwe X26 Yesterday i plowed right through a freshly cut thick brush popped my front tire had to go slow assist 1.
I just unpacked my bike and noticed alot of issues with it,but I'm biggest concern now is the frame of the bike isn't straight, which i just noticed right after i sent engwe an email with pics of my issues,if you stand directly behind your bike and look down to the front of the bike does your swing off to the left because mine does?? I have screws for the internal battery terminals not installed all the way,and one is broken off in the frame, like the predrilled holes weren't deep enough and they couldn't install the screws all the way thats why one broke, thats just 2 of a few issues, but the frame is now my biggest concern,is your frame twisted too?
When I get my bike back out, I will take a look around it to make sure. There is a part of the frame we've noticed in the discord on the right besides the rear padded seat that has a slight ripple in it, a disc brake has been bent from one person, the headlight wire was sliced on another. I want to make another video just based on the problems with the bike and shipping. I thought it was best until I got more accustomed to the bike and learned what other people have experienced. I haven't heard of any problems with battery screws. I will share this with the discord channel asking them to check their bike as well. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing and I hope Engwe follows through with backing this product up fully. I'd like to hear what your update is with them.
My rear left shock is making a popping noise and the right one isn't, I honestly think the bike is awesome, but to have some many issues and no answers ,with a warranty that starts when you purchase and not when you receive it ,does not help ,there should be certified repair techs that engwe has appointed to local bike shops to resolve any issues ,that would speed up ot of wait ,with covid lockdown going on in china
Will they replace the shock for that? It has been a bike that I thoroughly enjoy, but also wouldn't recommend currently because of the issues I've seen mentioned here, Facebook, and discord. I don't feel like I have had any major problems. I have looked at my bike and wondered if everyone else's were like it on certain aspects.
You won't hear the hub over the tires. I have to pay attention to it whining up. The tires are definitely louder. You won't be riding conspicuously on bike paths. If I can figure out how to mount the decibel meter to the handlebars I'll get a ride in with it for a good reference then do it with the rear tire elevated for the hub volume.
