For choosing the leader, they had a personality test and they showed us the behind the scenes process of this. Jungwon and heesung were chosen to have the most leadership quality. Heesung being the oldest and like the all rounder of the group already had a lot of responsibility on his shoulder if he was also made the leader there could be a power imbalance among the group as age matters a lot in Korea so the other members might not feel completely comfortable to express themselves to him. So he passed on the opportunity to jungwon and despite his young age he is a really good leader and during difficult times he can lean on heesung for advice

jake is the one "in charge" of english in the group since he's the most fluent and he lived in australia for most of his life. he's also a naturally caring person and the members constantly say that they are very comfortable around him.

i think Ni-kis a lot quieter when their not playing around bc he's the youngest i think he kinda gets bored or tired because when they play games and stuff he,jay, sunghoon and jake are going to be the loudest most of the time Jungwon the leader he's the second youngest member Jake loves taking care of the members especially ni-ki cause his parents are in japan and he's the only member that can't visit his family on days off Sunoos really a bright guys he's always smiling and won't shy away from doing aegyo if you ask him on many interviews the host always ends up gushing about how cute Sunoo is

I think the best way to see their actual personality is by watching their own variety shows like en o'clock cuz I noticed that idols became a bit quieter or like awkward in interviews (esp english ivs) Also, thank you for doing a video about enhypen. Jungwon's actually the leader, but he has said on multiple occasions how he can always count on Jake and Heeseung when he needs someone to listen to him, the members always say Jungwon is a reliable leader, too. Also Ni-ki is still a kid, even if he's one year younger than Jungwon, he's far playful and loud, Jake said once he wanted Ni-ki to have a somewhat normal childhood, to enjoy being a kid, which is why he plays with Ni-ki so often, him and Heeseung actually.

The leader is actually Jungwon (born in 2004) and he’s currently the youngest leader in K-pop!

Funny enough, Ni-ki is for sure the most carefree and playful member, he goes almost crazy in some their non-interview content by messing with the other members, language barrier or no. It’s hilarious how in the early days, the communication didn’t stop him from pranking people. Part of why he seems so disengaged during interviews is what you mentioned before, he has a very intimidating resting face, but the on and off switch is instantaneous and most of the fandom knows he’s just focusing on understanding the Korean. The other members are also very protective of him since he’s the youngest (debuted at 14 years old) and don’t really direct english or korean questions at him because they know he’s concentrating on listening. The leader Is actually that cutie Jungwon, he Is really mature for his young Age, being the youngest leader ever. As for Jay and Jake they di tend to take the lead in english interviews. Niki is Always quiet in foreign interviews because he Is not only not too confident in his english, but also a bit in his korean too since he is Japanese. But he is actually a sassy troublemaker ahahahha

BTS, Tomorrow X Together and Enhypen actually share a label. BTS and TXT is under Big Hit Music and Enhypen is under BE:LIFT LAB so you can kinda say that they have different sub labels but are under the same big label. The leader of Enhypen is actually Jungwon. He is born 2004 so he's actually the seconds youngest. It's pretty rare that one of the younger members is the leader but I still think he does a good job and the other members has his back. Enhypen, just like TXT, has no set positions. All of them are vocalist, rappers and dancers and just take the role that fits them the most each comeback but one of Heeseung's ''extra'' positions is center. If I have understood the position right it means that you usually take center position in dance formations, interviews, promotional videos etcetera. Heeseung also likes to be really goofy and is often called the fake maknae (fake youngest) for his endearing and funny personality. NI-KI is from Japan so his native language is Japanese. Even if his Korean is good it's not his native language and is still learning. I think thats why he seems less engaged than the others because he needs more time to process what's being said and what's going on. Sunghoon is an introvert, but is actually one of the members that talk a lot in a group setting, we have witnessed him growing more confident and comfortable with the other members. He's more shy with strangers. He recently became an MC host for a popular korean music show called 'Music Bank', to challenge and improve his communication skills!

ni-ki is japanese he still problem at some korean words esp thats a english interview but now he is getting better also he is the youngest member he was 14 when they made their debut, also many engenes thought also that ni-ki is the most quiet member because of the language barrier

that's right. Jake has always been like this from the start. He reacts to the members' words, considers them, and smiles. He's a really kind and nice guy.

Jake and Sunghoon are really close so it’s not surprising they looked at each other. Jake is really nice and really tries to appreciate everyone.

Sunoo is born to be idol. He really is confident when he is talking/speaking and when he is in front of the camera. He is also a sunshine who is bright and so cute. I agree that he is like a star, you know sometimes he doesn't talk that much but you can we can't just ignore him because he's presence and aura is just too powerful to ignore.

Their dynamics with each other get even more interesting when u know about them. Cuz for example, Heeseung and Jay's been friends for over 5 years which is the longest friendship in ENHYPEN and together with Jungwon and Sunghoon, those four knew eachother even before iland(the survival show EN- was formed through) as BigHit trainees. They trained together with eachother for at least 2 years. while on the other hand, Sunoo, Jake and Ni-Ki were the trainees from Belift who were selected by PD BangShiHyuk(BigHit/HYBE CEO) through global audition. They only get to know each other in iland which was in 2020. Their friendship is fresh and they're still on the process of learning one another. But when u check their recent contents you'll see how much they changed and got comfortable with each other within a year period. And not to mention, none of them is good at pretending smth they're not. They're one of the most honest idol group out there. I agree with you: Jake has good communication skill to engage people in interview, podcast, variety show, etc. Jungwon is official leader, but for this kind of situation, Jake is "leading" the group. Not only on this interview. I think out of the member Jake seem to have the best communication skill/Listening skill. The others member are great too but You can see Jake show that he is listening by his body language. He either look at the member/make eye contact with them or nodding his head. I really love Jake personality. Jungwon also said he comfortable around Jake even when he doesn't talk.

Niki is Japanese (and he born in 2005) he stills got some problems with the Korean language at some point and with English as well but he's improving in both languages. So that must be why he looks quieter. I once saw an ENGENE (Enhypen's fandom name) mentioning that Niki speaks Korean like a "shy Korean teenager" .

I think Niki might be less present because 1st he's the youngest and may not feel like he should do the most talking and 2nd he's also japanese and I know his korean has gotten waaaay better, I just feel like it's maybe still not "perfect" or he may not feel as confidant in talking as in depth about his thoughts and feelings, even though he might want to cuz in he lacks in vocabs, etc.. And not that he isn't a confidant person, just as in when it comes down to talking I think. So yeah, that might be it:) Other than that, thanks soooo much for reacting to ENHYPHEN and Idk if you already knew that but EN- is from the same label* as TXT and BTS, therefore that's why they probably mention BTS a lot as they are their "seniors" and respect them so much and also some of the members became idols because they saw BTS and wanted to be like them!

If I'm not mistaken, Heeseung, Jake and Jay are 3 members who are good listeners.

I think Ni-Ki may be a shy guy around those he doesn't know and certainly English and Korean are not his first language (it is Japanese). When it comes to dance he is always comfortable and shines. Heeseung is the oldest and in my opinion great at everything (trained and almost debuted with TXT) but he can really act like a little kid. They are under Hybe as well. There is some great content with both TXT and Enhypen playing games together. It is cool to see TXT being leaders towards Enhypen. It is interesting watching these with your insight when we know the members from so many different things (esp if we watched them in the survival show) and how they may or may not be like themselves in different circumstances and how they have improved/changed over time.

i really appreciate jake engaging and communicating even the members always mention how comforting he is and how they feel at ease around him i love that guy so much he’s so kind hearted

Jake really is very eloquent and good in communicating. I think he does connect all the members when it comes to international interviews. He knows and understands English the best, that’s why his members rely on him so much.

Sunoo is our sunshine, he’s communication skills are great and I think he will be great MC , I hope he will have chance in future

Oh hell yes Enhypen! They’re super interesting because they were formed from a survival show in 2020 so they don’t know each other longer than that. Their dynamic is different than even TxT who have been together since 2015.

Heeseung is very captivating on Stage as well, he’s the center of the group 😄

NI-KI is Japanese - Korean is his second language. English interviews are challenging for him with English as his third language. When he's dancing though, he is a commanding presence, make no mistake (NI-KI is the group's dance captain). Jake, as the Korean-Australian member, takes the lead in English interviews. I've always felt Jake is the lynchpin of the group and the group's leader Jungwon has himself said he relies a lot on Jake. And you're correct, Sunoo is a magnet - you can feel that across the camera, right! This interview is from their first comeback, so April 2021. Sunghoon became an MC for Music Bank in October 2021 so he's working on his communication and interpersonal skills - he's naturally shy but he's mad talented. More time in front of the camera is good for him. ENHYPEN will have their third comeback on January 10th - you'll see a huge growth from this ELLE interview.

Jungwon is the leader but he said himself he’s a leader who doesn’t want to feel distant to the members. In an Interview the they were asked who they were most grateful for and 5/7 members said him because he’s always listening to them and is always attentive (one member said everyone and another said heeseung). They all say that they’re thankful he was chosen as leader but Jake especially expressed his gratitude. Jungwon is known and a mediator and someone who handles conflict well

Sunoo is actually an ENFP and has really bright energy. He can make the room more happy just by being present. He is literally a sunshine. I'm actually surprised you don't know Enhypen and actually distinguished their personalities.

*ni-ki is one of the funniest and loudest member in enhypen but in the interview he's usually quiet which makes him look like a cold person but really isn't. it's the language barrier that makes him quiet he's japanese so it might be hard for him to understand english and korean words but as u get really into them and watch their variety shows u would agree that he's loud and funny. ni-ki and heeseung are the one's who usually shine the most when performing since they're like the main dancers of the group.*

Sunghoon used to ice skate professionally (and also played ice hockey as a youngster which should appeal to the Canadian in you), he is very competitive and has recently become an MC on a very famous Korean Music show. He challenged himself because communication with the press is not as easy for him as it is for Jake or Jay. But he's working on it I think. I really enjoy your analysis. I hope you'll do more Enhypen and maybe one day check the K-pop band Ateez (a great example about how looks do not fit the personality!). And happy new year.

many people tend to get wrong idea about Ni-Ki. even we, the ENGENEs, thought he's super quiet in early debut era vlives and such. i suggest u to check the recent ones and not these interviews but their contents like EN-O'CLOCK or monthly reviews or behind the scenes

Sunoo is really confident in front of the camera and like to make eye contact. He also likes to play with the camera and seems to interact with you through his eyes.

your comments about jake is so true coz even the members said it a lot of times how jake makes them feel comfortable and even the fans who he has talked to on fansigns have said the same thing, although he's a bit funny and random at most times lol

I can understand thinking Jake is leader form this and some of their other videos. He's very engaging and seems to make a lasting positive impression when they appear on shows. Leader is Jungwon, youngest leader in kpop (at debut anyway, no idea if it's still true). It was between him and Heeseung, and Jungwon was chosen since Heeseung already had a lot of responsibility with being oldest and had the all-rounder role to play. Jungwon as leader makes for a more balanced team, and his goal is to be an approachable leader who you feel comfortable enough to talk with. Sunoo is a ball of sunshine and cuteness, naturally charismatic, and shines in all their content. Sunghoon and Jay are a bit more laid back I think, but speak very well. Ni-Ki is the youngest, and is Japanese, so he might be a little less reactive in foreign interviews since English and Korean aren't his first languages. But he also seems to live in his own world, like if he's bored he might just zone out totally or wander off to find something more entertaining. He's quite young and is still quite childlike personality wise (which I think is brilliant, it's so rare to see a young kpop idol who is allowed to act their age).

JAKE has an incredible skill in communication indeed⭐️ He stands apart from the rest because not only does he pay very close attention to all members (extremely observant and thoughtful acts) makes sure no one feels left out, but also engages them in the conversation. Its why he’s so good at shows like these and why he’s so entertaining to watch- because he’s the best when it comes to reading a room. It delivers this very positive aura about him to viewers and im thankful that you noticed that. From multiple interviews, other members have also clearly expressed how comfortable they feel with Jakes warmth and bright energy.

Thank for reacting to Enhypen, they only have one year on the industry, so I think that's why some members are quiter, Sunghoon is an introvert, Sunoo you really say it so well he is like the sunshine of the group and he is comfortable in front of the cameras, Jake is so well spoken and he is listener, Ni-Ki is the youngest, so when he is interested on the activities he is full engaged if he is not interested he is in his one world, Heeseung is a little quiet, but with activities related with dance or sing he is comfortable, Jay for me is the most mature in Enhypen, he is trustworthy, and the leader is Jungwon, he is the second youngest in the group even tho he is really mature for his age, he listen always to the members and cares about them

Jungwon is the leader of the group and really tries hard to include all the members, I've noticed he lets them talk and give them a chance to express themselves. Jake is fluent in English and Korean and has a bright personality, so I feel like in this interview in particular the other members looked to him since it was for Elle. Other times members might look to Heeseung as the eldest member. NI-KI is the youngest of the group but he is also Japanese and Korean is his second language, he just learned it within the last 2 years. So he may not have known a lot of the songs the other members were mentioning and was hesitant to give responses on camera in case he said the wrong thing. He is usually very playful and touchy with the other members. All of their dynamics together is great, you can really tell they trust each other. You can probably get a bigger picture of their communication styles in other videos as well.

I think that because Jake is the English spokesman for the group in this interview the others look to him. Jay is an English speaker as well as Heeseung so the are also more comfortable in interviews like this. Ni-ki is very shy when it comes to interviews like this because he is Japanese so both Korean and English are second and third languages that he has had to learn. Jay who also speaks Japanese will often help translate and explain things to him. When Ni-ki is with his members he is the playful naughty baby of the group. When he is dancing he shines as the expert the other defer to. Jongwon is the leader who's style tends to have dry humor but he is also very direct and firm. Finally Enhypen!🥳 I never actually paid that much attention to Jake in interviews but he really is the string connecting each member while communicating. I think this shows how good he is in his role as Loyalist (idk how much stock you give enneagram types). Sunghoon is also type 6 and he does back up Jungwon (their leader) in communicating. He is also very good at calling on others as seen on music bank where he is an MC.

knowing ni-ki, he was probably sleeping until 5 minutes before this 😭 he's very chaotic when he's with the members (especially jake ! you were kind of spot-on when you talked about him because while he's not the leader, all of them have have said he makes them feel at ease) but more closed off during interviews. also it's true, sunghoon is usually more shy (but like ni-ki, gets loud and funny with the other members) and sunoo and heeseung are made to be stars !

Ni-ki is actually one of the most outgoing members, he does have a more quiet and reserved appearance during interviews though. I think especially in their first interviews or in general when they had just debuted he used to be way quieter on camera since he wasn’t really fluent in Korean yet, but he’s definitely more comfortable and talkative now

Niki is Japanese and at that time he was not good at Korean and English that much. That's why he was so quite here. But now if u see him, he is grown so much

I like that you note the ages and the differences! They are all super young with an age range of 16-21 with Niki being the youngest and Sunoo and Jungwon being the next youngest! I find it really interesting that you were able to pick up on who was older and younger!

jungwon is most certainly the cutest, but he takes the role as leader very seriously and makes sure to comfort the others in times of need. i think what you said about the “level of maturity” is actually right. jungwon has said numerous times over the past year that despite becoming an “adult” this year (18 global age, 19 korean age) he wants to still act and be treated as a kid. in his most recent -note (on enhypen’s youtube channel) he talks about it quite openly, tbh. he had heard that some engenes (enhypen’s fan base) had said they miss who was on ‘i-land’ (the survival show that created their group) and he spoke about how, despite maturing, he still wants to keep ahold of his inner child and (implicitly) said that he would want engenes to respect that. he’s still very young but has had to mature faster than some of the other members. but i’m glad that you picked up on his playfulness bc he is still very much a little boy in a big world !! :) really enjoyed your analysis, though. what you said about jake is very true :’)

Jungwon as the leader usually let's the member speak in the interviews as to not overshadow them and to let them grow by expressing themselves

I loved this!! It's so refreshing to hear a new perspective on the boys and how spot on you were :) Ni-ki is from Japan and although his Korean is insanely fluent for only studying for 2 years, he does tend to get more quiet when the other members are talking about a topic he doesn't know much about. This comes in when the members are mostly naming American songs! If the topic were something that he was more familiar with, he would definitely be one of the louder ones lol 😊 He is the youngest and very energetic and playful, but also very cool on stage since he's been dancing since he was 3! Lemme just do a small roundup of the group (lol what happened to small i wrote an essay but whatever💀: First, you should know that Enhypen was formed through a survival show called I-land. It’s a really fascinating experience not only because u see their growth as singers, but as they form their bonds and become really close. I think if u find time for it u should definitely check it out on ur own. Heeseung - 01 🦌 He is the oldest member in the group and was well known for training with TXT members and having a lot of experience with performing. He is also known as the ACE of the group since he can sing, dance, and rap. Heeseung is very levelheaded and controlled when he needs to be, he can really read the room so he dies come off a serious here, but in a more playful environment he knows how to get crazy. He was actually the one everyone expected to be the leader after the show ended as he has many strong qualities that were demonstrated in I-land. Ultimately he decided (along with the others) that it would be too much for him to be the oldest hyung, ace, and leader, since the youngest members are very young, it would sort of put an unbalance in the group and make it uncomfortable for communication. So instead he wants to be a shoulder for the leader, aswell as a father to the group. Jay - 02 🦅 Second oldest, Korean-American. He often comes off as cool and reserved. His image is cool and chic so it makes sense. But that’s just the surface. The members always say he is an emotional guy. “Jay wears his heart on his sleeve.” And it shows in lives they do and when they’re at the dorm, he is extremely caring and treasures his members. In fact he is so nice and patient that the members always target him the most when it comes to teasing 😂. They know he doesn’t have it in him to get genuinely upset and he is nicknamed the Moodmaker in en-. In a more relaxed scenario he is the most talkative one, according to the others, but in interviews he tends to listen more than speak. He also demonstrated some good leadership skills in I-land, and has an endless amount of determination, persistence, and has a perfectly driven mentality. Tough on the outside, soft and genuine on the inside. Jake - 02 🐶 Jake and his aussie accent! He is described as a puppy/dog in the sense that he is loyal and playful. The members appreciate him because he will always be the one to lighten the mood and make the members smile. He tends to get the playful side out of everyone and is incredibly thoughtful. It has also been said that he is very easy to talk to, and is always there to support the others when they need to talk/are struggling. He also had the shortest training period and worked really hard and improved sooo much. Jay and jake are known for coming from wealthy families, and despite that they are incredibly hardworking, genuine and humble. Sunghoon - 02 🐧 He seemed to interact very little here and it is because he is very much an INTROVERT. He can be kind of awkward sometimes and is often spacing out/in his own world (u can find soo many memes of him just staring into nothing 😂). He recently became an Mc at a music show and he has greatly improved and is becoming more comfortable/confident in social events and such. Despite this, he is very thoughtful and calm when speaking, with some random bursts of energy. The members say he transforms from a shy penguin to an ice prince when on stage and he does. Sunghoon was a professional figure skater for 10 years winning countless awards and was heavil soeculated to represent s.korea in the winter Olympics but ofc he decided to become an idol instead! The years of performing has helped him become more outgoing. He is overall a very genuine and chill guy Sunoo - 03 🦊 Energetic little fox, sunoo is the cutie pie of the group and is always there it represent a more fresh and feminine side of enhypen. He absolutely loves doing cute stuff and aegyo which basically just exists to highlight the more youthful side in idols (usually maknaes r expected to do aegyo since they are supposed to have a more innocent image given most are underage). Sunoo is always listening to the others and is very expressive. You’ll notice He is almost always laughing at something because he listens and responds/acknowledges. He was actually chosen by the producers of the show and HYBE (the company) to be in the group despite not ranking in the top 7 in votes because they said he would complement the group personality-wise. He would bring a much needed breath of fresh air and bubbly energy that they would need, in contrast to the other finalist, who had another level-headed, father-figure type vibe that many members in enhypen already have. So sunoo is the final piece to fit their dynamic. Jungwon - 04 😸 Second youngest, actually the leader! He is the youngest leader in kpop as of right now and is doing a great job. He said himself that he wants to be a leader that is not distant to the team. He doesn’t want it to become his only personality trait, and wants the whole group to make decisions as he pitches in. Despite his cute nature, he is the most level headed one, and is really wise beyond his years, but despite this never really fully exposes that side of him. The others encourage this behavior because he shouldn’t have to act like an adult at such a young age, it’s just unhealthy. But riki is very put together and has learned from his hard experiences. He listens as much as he can (his korean has improved greatly) and has only the greatest respect for his members, who he regards to as his family and older brothers. Ni-ki is also an oddball, his energy can go from -1 to 300 instantly (engenes will say its just puberty) and even a few months after this interview now, he has grown up so much more. It still shocks me how well this groups dynamic works. They are really close and i love to see them interact.

Thank you for the analysis, you made some very accurate points! I think their communication varies drastically depending on the setting. In this video, Jake takes the lead because he's in charge of English, but in Korean interviews he's more laid back and lets other members do the talking. Ni-ki doesn't talk a lot here, but he's very playful in more familiar settings and loves to prank the members. Sunghoon is very introverted and had a hard time making eye contact with people, but he's now an MC for a music show and improving every week. I'd love to see you react to an episode of En-o'clock, they showcase everyone's personalities when they're in a more comfortable environment.

But since this is a bit of an older interview i recommend reacting to more recent stuff bc you can see a more developed dynamic between them, they've all gotten much more confident in front of cameras and they act a lot more natural, and Ni-ki has gotten so much more confident in his korean so he speaks a lot more, he's also very active now. He has such an innocent joy and wonder to him and it's so endearing. Thank you!!! This is the group that brought me to the k-pop world and I love them dearly. Heeseung was known as the ace and shines on stage. Ni-ki is an amazing dancer. I feel he interacts more when talking about dance compared to lyrics, especially English lyrics. They had the opportunity to meet BTS during I-land and run into them in the office building occasionally :) BTS seems to genuinely care about the junior groups in their label, TxT and Enhypen. Sunoo is Mr. Sunshine. Each of these men are amazing and you are just starting to get to know them!

Ni-ki is usually like that in english interviews actually and that's also his resting face wjsgsjjs he made his first solo live just recently in December during his birthday and he said he was nervous bcs when they're doing live together he just keeps on watching them without saying much, also if you know him you'll know when he speaks during those lives it's most likely to tease one of the boys or to make fun remarks. So, he's most on the observing side but he can be very talkative sometimes when he's comfortable. I guess in some video interviews when they have to give more elaborated answers he just doesn't seem to want to stand out much. But he's a very thoughtful kid, you can see that better in his answers for written interviews, maybe because he has more time to elaborate his answers.

I know many comments ask you to watch more recent content, but I enjoy these older interviews and interactions. It allows us to see how the members have developed. Once they start getting comfortable and more polished, that’s great for them but doesn’t allow for as many tips and suggestions from you that we can incorporate into our own communication style. Of course you are great at pointing out how people “do things right,” as well! I just learn better if I can see the raw “mistakes” rather than the refined perfection.

I have to say, it means a lot to me to hear people who aren't necessarily kpop stans (or who are very new fans) acknowledge the misconception of kpop being shallow and notice how genuine and sincere a lot of these artists are.

ni-ki has his moments of pure chaos and moments where he seems like he did to you in this interview...i guess it rlly depends on his surroundings, what he is doing and if he HAS to talk to fill in time or not, here the other were doing that for him, so he didnt say much. that's my perception of him. during enhypen's vlives (a live broadcasting app where idols freely communicate with their fans), over time, he has become a lot more open and talkative as he was getting used to the cameras and the korean language (bcs he is japanese). he is doing well now :)

Yey another one of my favourite groups! They refer to Bts a lot because they are in the same company together with TXT. They even did several collaboration with TXT. One of them was a variety show named Playground. It's only two episodes though and Enhypen at that time didn't even debut yet, so they seem a bit overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. Maybe you can do another TXT reaction some time soon? Do you also react to compilations?

Jake is from Australia, Ni-Ki is from Japan and Jay is from the US. If you watch their variety show En-o'clock. All of their personalities comes out.

Thank you for this! Enhypen is a very new group and in this earlier interview they were still a bit shy, especially Ni-ki since he is Japanese. But if you watch the newer content, I suggest their own shows where they are not too limited in what to say or do, you'll actually see their personalities shine even more. And Ni-ki is actually so much louder and goofier (in a good way) now since he has his Korean language down. Loved this reaction. Hope you can do more Enhypen in the future!

Niki is a lot like jungkook in my opinion actually. Like if the interview is not game-related or food related or upbeat sort of he's not really going to do that most. If he also can't be active (like dance or something) he also won't do the most. Also something I think a lot of people forget (not you cause you're not a stan lmao) is the rookie groups are a lot more shy and awkward with interviews. Especially the ones that are mainly English.

Sunghoon and niki were quiet because they are listener type of members but they do talk a lot in their regular video it must be because they say less in interview

I love your comment about Sunoo. Sunoo is definitely a breath of fresh air in the team. Even during their survival show, he has this way of interacting with the audience and that has proven to be fruitful since he’s gained a lot of fans and topped the fan votes. He is definitely worth stanning for. Very charismatic. He is a ball of sunshine.

ni-ki's been a lot more confident in interviews whether that's speaking in korean or english, but most of the time that's just his resting face! often he might get bored, because he is used to being playful with his hyungs but there are definitely more videos where each of their personalities are explored a lot more, like their variety show en-o' clock, if you want to see their groupy dynamic/relationship i would recommend enhypen&hi s2, episode 2? i think where they had a very heartfelt conversation. also they do mention bts a lot, because not only are they labelmates (hybe), most of enhypen have bts as their role models and reason they became an idol!

BTS is also their seniors in their company so that’s also probably a big part of why they mention them a lot!

The exercise was for English words - NI-KI doesn’t speak English. He is Japanese, still learning Korean, and the youngest. He looks to Jay for language help because Jay is fluent in English, Korean, snd Japanese. I think Jay stands back from the spotlight to let others shine. Sunghoon was a professional ice skater for 10 years, so he has a quiet, solitary star quality with confidence - the opposite of Sunoo who radiates all that shines on him even if he doesn’t know what is happening. Jungwon is the leader and as a young busy leader, still in high school, he’s comfortable delegating responsibility. Looks like he successfully handed the reins to Jake. I laughed so hard at your first comment about Sunoo looking HAPPY, I agree with your take about Heeseung. A serious star. I love EN-

Yay I have been hoping you would get around to reacting to Enhypen for a while! It always scares me how accurately you're able to read people so quickly haha, it's so impressive! I think you're absolutely right about Heeseung (being confident/enjoying the spotlight etc), Jake and his communication, Jay being easy to get along with and chilled out (although he also has a crazy side). Sunoo being confident and happy, and also Ni-Ki because you were able to recognise that actually he isn't shy, he's just more detached in this interview. Sunghoon was an introvert when he was younger and I still think that is at least partially accurate to this day, so I feel like that explains why he is generally a bit quieter in interviews like these. Jungwon is a little tricky because although he is the leader and can be very mature, at the end of the day he is still only a kid so he does have a very cute, more childish side to him too and he relies on his hyungs to help him sometimes when he's having a hard time - from what I have observed of them, Jungwon and Heeseung are particularly close.
