Although there is a dominant Indian influence, it would not be fair at all to label Nepali culture as Indian since Nepal is a melting pot of cultural influences from the south and north as well as an unique individuality. A blend of Hinduism, Buddhism and shamanic threads are woven into the overall tapestry.

this enigma album used to play in my aunts house all the time when i was about 7 or 8. now after 15 years later i live in the states i was listening to this very song while i was driving like 5 minutes ago and the tears just started to flow on their own. only then i realized this song was mongolian. no wonder it was bringing so much nostalgia from my birth place :) i never cared about my mongolian folk music i guess because of sheer stupidity or immaturity.

SMOKEMIST There is nothing stupid or immature about it, its just how our noisy society has made us forget many things. Even Indian classical / folk music for me is very hard to absorb; has a lot to do with my mood, responsibilities, etc.etc. But when I finally do, man is it good!

The child makes the video so real. Love the way he interacts with the elephant but then again it's maybe the way the elephant choses to interact with him. Maybe more so, it reveals how much beauty there is to life when man accepts that he is nothing more than a part of nature. Maybe then, he would realise how much he needs to care and protect it from himself.

I first heard Enigma when they deputed in the late 80s. Upon hearing the entire collection, I wept from my heart. Their first release invites us to relax into a meditative state and let the music be your guide on a journey down the “rivers of belief” of human experiences encompassing birth, spirit, soul, emotions, nature & the passions of Earth, lust, Divinity, Sacred Sex, forgiveness, enlightenment, Death, transformation, rebirth. It’s Fucking Brilliant. To this day, they are my all-time favorite.

Enigma trasciende el oído de quien lo escucha, al ser alguien de incansable búsqueda en mi caso, marcó mi vida, me llevó en las alas de sus oníricos cantos y ritmos tribales, canto gregoriano, música de ritos solares, letra de gran significado, es un viaje eterno que se emprende cada vez que lo comienzo a escuchar. this was perfect for the matrix brings back so many memories. Late 90s, early 2000s life was stress free. You had grind to find movie soundtracks and scores. No youtube, no digital platforms, no smartphones. Life was good without any of that stuff. I'm about to cry just listening to this, the chills are just flowing through my body!!
