Duuuuuuuuude! This is so sick!!! Like, H4 has a soft spot in my heart, I truly believe there's a good game beneath it that maybe was mishandled with many sudden changes (as a campaign player). I've been dreaming with what could've been with some changes... and then I see this, wow. I'm not quite sold with the health bar, maybe it's me but seems kinda off in the HUD, but everything else it's amazing. I feel as excited as if I'm looking at a new Halo game trailer!!! I loved the BR, the mix of the new and classic, the enemies, what it should have been! I'm sharing this with my buds. TL;DR: What an amazing project, truly born from passion and I'm gonna support this more than spending 20$ for a coating in an incomplete game (and I'm a console player, but I don't care). Thank you and excellent video displaying these features, I'm surely hyped.
You know, that's probably one of the best points I ever read on RU-vid. "Rather support this than spend $20 on a coating." That's a very strong point. As for the health bar, I believe it provides an extra layer of certainty on your status as your shields can get stripped away quickly and drain from burning plasma. If you negate health packs, you could pay the price later in the level. At least, that's how I think of it. I agree, like you, I enjoy Halo 4. There will always be something I enjoy and dislike in each Halo game.
I'm just imagining 'What if somebody went back in time to make a mod like this in place of the game we got'? It'd be a ridiculous abuse of time travel, but just imagine the outcome of having this kind of content back then. Regardless, I'm happy with the content the Halo community has made with the modding tools available. It's the cool things like this that keep my love for the Halo series alive and well.
I never modded any halo game, but just seeing the passion and effort that the modding teams put into their work is amazing. It's just astonishing how the community understands halo more than the current developers. I surely will be on the look out for this mod to give it a try!

It's just so weird how 343 completely paved over old Bungie designs and altered the canon a lot to glue it all together. I don't mind some of their design choices but also loathed many, but I sort of knew from the opening cutscenes of Halo 4 that I was in for a rude awakening when the Spartan 2s featured in the flashbacks were also wearing the new version of Mark VI for some reason. How did Chief's armour change in cryo? Nanobots lol. How are there new issue versions of UNSC weapons aboard the Forward Unto Dawn which has been drifting derelict in space for almost 5 years? No idea, don't ask. Introducing their new designs would have made more sense diagetically if Chief received his upgrades and new equipment when the Infinity arrived. That sort of storytelling could have also complimented the "fish out of water" feeling Chief deals with in the story having lost that time. I've just recently come across Mythic's progress videos for this mod and many of his choices are inspired, particularly by including several weapons instead of just swapping certain ones out entirely and I get the sense he is kind of providing that storytelling through certain inclusions, like grabbing the old BR on the Dawn and then later picking up the new one. Kitbashing the Halo 5 created soldier into the game is also pretty impressive and it will probably make the promethean encounters a lot more dynamic compared to retail.
I believe it was because of investors asking why it looked like Halo when they presented their initial idea and concept. I think the investors were looking at CoD and how successful they were and said they should be more like that. So they made it a soft reboot for the franchise, looks-wise too. They wanted a more sci-fi aesthetic, rather than the more grounded style of the previous Halo entries.
@@hosavI don't know if it was because of that but they should have been very friendly to the lore and should've just revealed the new looks later in the game once chief reunites with the modern unsc forces with the nice new updated stuff always looked realistic and sci-fi at the same time.
@@Elitesolider1023 The investor part is actually true though. You can look it up. Apperently Halo 4 was supposed to be more Halo like before the investors had a say. Though I don't know if that was more gameplay or design related, or both perhaps.
@@hosav and this is why investors should never have a say absolute scum of the earth to think the reclaimer saga would be truly Halo if it wasn't for the scum of mircosoft reasons why the company is the next ea/Activision.
Incredible! Only thing I don't love is the font for prompts and ammo count. Idk why 343 made it look so cartoony. Changing that to be more H3-like, and being able to turn off hitmarkers, would be icing on the cake.
Mythic is doing the best in the modding scene he’s a badass I really hope he continues adding mythic modes and campaigns in halo I would love mythic sand trap on another map or two for mcc
I've always thought H2A's animations and models were really nice looking and that it was a shame they're not in a campaign. The fact they not only *are* in this one but I can also introduce my least favorite faction (the Prometheans) to my favorite gun (the M6D) is just icing on the cake.
Great showcase as always, and another amazing mod by Mythic, I’ve played a couple of modded game nights with Mythic and he seems like a down too earth person.
Honestly what I would really want, is a mod of all the Halo FPS' complete campaigns all in one! But like one big open world RPG, where you get to customize Chiefs armor in the sense of Reach version of Chiefs armor, Halo Mac Orion Armor, CE, CEA, H2, H2A, H3, H4, and Halo Infinite Chief armor, each with distinct benefits and draw backs. With every campaign having access to every version of the base weapons from every game, as well as armor abilities, equipment, grenades, vehicles, etc.
Genuinely can't wait for this mod. I don't think I'd play Halo 4 again without it. The only thing I'm hoping for now personally is an overhaul of the Grunt voices to bring them back to their cowardly best from the original trilogy. I actually find the Grunt voices in 4 to be extreemeely annoying. XD
With Halo 4’s engine capabilities I was expecting them to port over the animations as well other than just replacing the models… but eh, guess we can’t have everything. Redesigning encounters are hard work, after all.
As someone who hasn't heard of this mod until this video, this is so far beyond anything I could have expected. I feel like I was among the minority that liked Halo 4's campaign when it released. It undoubtedly had some issues and the sandbox felt reduced, but I always felt that if it had a clearer vision and a slightly more Bungie inspired storyline and sandbox, it would have been a contender for top 3 campaigns for the series. I still hold a massive disdain for Halo 5 in my heart, so I hope that it gets the same treatment one day.
What a brilliant job this man does. The sandbox is how all Halo games should be, rich and varied. Personally, I'm not sure about the angle of the H2/3 assault rifle on screen and I prefer the H4 armour but still an absolutely brilliant piece of work 👌
A couple of things I hope that will be added to this mod. English speaking grunts and Elites along side some of the og halo music from 1, 2 and 3. But one can only dream. Someday Halo 4, some day someone else will do it.
I really Like the Covenants Vehicle Design. I mean, it looked good already with the More Pinkish Color and Green Light instead of Purple/Blue Light we saw on the in Reach. But the More magenta lights with that more Purple Color Sheme on these Vehicles is just cool. I would like to see more addition in this Mod, such as Space Banshee or the Cut revenant with the New Color... What I miss the Most is the Anti Air wraith...
I'm not sure if you'll read this but I noticed something and its not where you think im going with this. Lol. Hear me out. Do you watch a channel named Late Night Gaming? I remember he makes halo vids. This might seem odd but here it goes.. Funny thing, I noticed a few years back you made a video about what you'd wish to see in the next Halo, before it was called Infinite. Your vid became pretty popular. Its the "7 Details Halo Needs." I know, way back.... After that tho, i notice late night changed his voice to sound similar to yours. You still sound different, very clear and articulate, its not an exact match, but i find it funny that he dedicates a lot of time to youtube growing a channel yet imitates what you've done before. 7 Details Halo 6 Needs was a fun video to make! I appreciate you bringing that video up. That was quiet a while ago; glad you remember it! No, I don't watch anything from Late Night Gaming. In fact, I don't watch many Halo channels. I do recall reading or hearing somewhere that The Act Man had Late Night Gaming make some apology video for some people. Pretty weird. So with that, I just never took an interest in checking out his content hahaha. If what you said has a correlation, then imitation is the highest form of flattery, as they say. :D
I recommend improving the audio of the weapons and removing the green filter from the entire game. anyway this looks amazing i personally don't like halo 4 but this makes me want to play it 😁
I agree but I think they thought we would like since it was Bungie who started that trend in Reach when they bulked up the Elites, then 343 bulked them up beyond that.
This is fucking amazing. this guy does such a good job. I do hate the ugly ass 343 vehicles and most of their weapon models are not good. If he changed the warthog to the H3 or reach model he would improve the mod 10 fold imo.
what i like about mythic mods they are more gore and have the best sandbox that dont fk the gameplay and more fun i hope only fix the armor its alil bit off
One thing that doesn’t look like was changed, was the delay in time it takes for the shields to start recharging. It never made sense to me that for a more fast pace game, You have to wait longer for your shield start recharging, comparing 4 to 3
The only gripe I have with this mod is that it has engineers, When the covenant fractured, most of the engineers were lost, killed or ran away. Most are actually in the possession of the UNSC. Anyways it's a minor nitpick
Halo 4 was always my favourite but damn, this mod makes it so much better. I really liked the chiefs armor in 4 so that change wasnt necesarry imo but the rest is sick
Truth to be told I can't stand mods that add a million redundant sandbox items just for the sake of having every item, but there are some sick inclusions here. The dismemberment has to be the best change. We don't need Halo to be Gears, but man I wish 343 would lean back into the series' M rating more. It makes me think back to the H3 vidoc where we see some graybox footage of an elite slicing the arms off a Brute. I really hope we get more stuff like this in the future.
Hot take, I think the best spartan design overall was chief in halo 4. There are things that could be better, I've always preferred tacticool spartans with packs and stuff like in reach, the visor should've been shiny. But holy shit he just looks so fucking cool and realistic. All the other spartan designs seem a bit bulky and restrictive, but halo 4 nails the appearance with a super well fit jumpsuit that shows their spartan physique. It gives the idea that the shield is designed to protect spartans from projectile fire while armor is placed strategically to enhance physical protection. The muted colors were just right too, although reach nailed this as well. But like damn, the final cutscene where chief walks down the hall is the most badass he has ever looked.
Im wondering how the ruby’s rebalanced mod series compares to the mythic series of mods? AFAIK I’ve only seen a bit of reaches as well as this video (didn’t see ruby’s rebalance of 4 yet as of writing this comedy)
I always love halo 4s sound design with the unsc weapons. Love your videos! Ther there's just a very halo,y atmosphere. Idk if that makes sense but reminds of when I was little and everything in halo was new to me
Bro you see….. when it comes down to it this is all that 343i needed to do instead of reinventing the wheel and failing at it. Keep Halo rated M keep the minor blood and gore, include all the previous weapons, upscale the textures and modernize the animations, keep the OG master chief costume and just build on and keep what’s actually there from Bungie and do the new 343 stuff leisurely. Even for the story which is divisive way back in the day the gameplay would’ve softened the rage for the story lol. The modders are 343s best chance to save Halo IMO… they know what the ladies like 😅😂
Instead of halo 3 anniversary, do halo 4 instead cause halo 3 is all the love we need but halo 4 is still awesome but still need to be more designs and more story into it. But after seeing your videos so far, I think halo 4 anniversary is already here. Nice Job bro😊.
I would have loved if they changed those horrible weapon sounds that they used for halo 4. specially the sound for the sniper rifle. And Im happy they got rid of that horrible shotgun design.
