I respect your opinion but the most important factor is Quantity. As long as Nike keeps flooding the market it's gonna restrict the crazy high arbitrary prices that resellers set. Plus if necessary for personal cops on limited releases, the rep game is more on point than ever now to avoid paying ridiculous resale!
Heck yeah and depending where you buy them then shiiiiis is 1:1 I think nobody cares about missing a drop due to that this ain’t 2000 where you can spot a rep a mile away plus people able to buy them way cheaper than retail like Jordan’s 11 going for 230 while a flawless pair going for $125

Quantity is definitely the resolution. Many thought that the DMP's where going to sell out myself included. Though there were not a lot sittting around in stores the fact that you were able to walk in stores and find 2-3pairs minimum for a Jordan 11 said a lot. If Nike continues to make more we will spend less with resellers. Another word of advice in the word of @MikeRich be more selective with shoes. You do not need absolutely every shoe that comes out period! I have my eye on 2 shoes this year maybe 3. The Reimagine 4's, Craft 3's and Jordan 1 Ochre. I literally bought over 23 pairs of shoes last year and only wore 5 if that.

A change in the sneaker market, that does not sound good. Higher prices that would be bad for our pockets. One thing to remember is buy what you like and what you feel comfortable with, do not buy because everyone else tells you to buy the shoes. You are very kind with giving to your subs. Respectfully disagree you may see a small uptick in the market with a few bump in a couple of releases that are being hyped and of course tax season falling in but after that it will cool off again because like you said that Covid money will never happen again where people are getting that government drop into the account for nothing but there always be a supply and demand for sneakers but a lot of cautious spending will occur as peeps don’t have it like they use too
I honestly think it’s gonna be the same as 2023 imo. The pandemic is over, no more shortages like how everything else was. And production is back in action and workflow is going, shipments are coming from over seas. so they’re going to keep dropping and flooding the market. Just my opinion. Salute 🫡

Things wont change until next year at the earliest when stock will be lower, Stock will be still super high on this year models. Higher price retail dont help the resell market. Most will sit and can get under retail still.
@@HegotkickzIt would be nice for Nike if every shoe sold out instantly but that’s unrealistic of them to expect. The shoes will sell eventually and honestly these shoes aren’t expensive for them to make so even ones that sell below retail is still profit
Some shoes might be harder to get but look at some shoes from last year a lot of people hyped and then they sat. Market will stay the same. It’s election year and hopefully nothing crazy happens around then for the holiday shoes. People spending during Xmas doesn’t mean much. Those people spent less during the year prob to save to buy more for the holidays now back to normal and not spending much.
I disagree, i was been buying shoes since 2010 with my own money. I remember what it was like before Covid that most seem to forget. I do agree though Covid times will never happen again to the Sneaker market. I work in the housing market and people definitely dont have money like you’re describing, and DEBT is on the raise more than anything. Things have definitely slowed down. Gas prices always drop around election time.
Here in Canada these resellers are going to be taxed! And they pray on the average person that want nice shoes. There valchers. BUT Nike needs to kick it down a bit price wise until they do better quality control. My 11’s I just got in Canada where 295$ plus taxes (341$). That’s nuts!!! Nike is bending all us over now because they know we paid reseller prices. We all should maybe sit low on buying Jordan’s because Nike won’t move shoes and realize we’re not going to be taken advantage of.
Nike controls this. Simple. They produce a ton of the pairs people want and it’ll continue this way. Dunk sb are the only pairs with resale and that’s because they’re limited.

I was hoping they'd make the 11 this holiday the Gamma Blues mine are finally falling apart so i had to go resale on them not cheap but man do they look good new on feet. On of my favorite 11s i don't need legend blues i got them recently also and i like the low cut leather more
I just cleaned up and reiced 2 pairs of gammas and I have 4 requests for new gammas from my guys that have beat theirs. Def a favorites for most and I regret letting go of mine. Recently got into buying sneakers for my kids and it was a pair I was gifted I had laying around to startup my business 😭😭

Idk man, Rep game is getting stronger as well, they’re quality and QC is really starting to surpass even retails. The Godkiller Kobe’s for instance have a near identical 1:1 look & a larger zoom turbo unit. I actually prefer playing in my replica Kobe’s & save my actual Nike pair for life style. Just another thing to take into consideration. All these products are coming out of China / South East Asia they literally have the same blue prints, lasts, materials (some times actually higher quality such as leather) especially pairs like the Kaws AJ4 that are no longer in production won’t keep going as high because the replicas are actually keeping that money that would b going in down, so they’re a huge reason as well why things will NEVER be like they were in 2020 because demand won’t ever reach that high again.
