This season there was a bit of winter - the snow was deep but stayed only for one week. Some low temperatures before with as low as -15 degrees but it's all a history now. Slight frosts at night since last Saturday and daytime it's up to +10°C.. People are glad saying that hopefully the nasties bugs and plant pests have frozen finally. At least the birds seem to doing very well. The feeder is packed with them every day. 73s.
Cheers! On 60 - meter band I've heard hams talking in SSB and AM before. also couple of months there was someone replaying audio with antivax/conspiracy theories nonsense in a loop.. Maybe it's a spurious signal or some harmonic resonance because it can't be tuned properly. I've seen a similar signal on 5492 kHz now gone.
@@dxadventures562 yes, I get such effects on my Tecsun portables when I use a longer wire than the short spool which is supplied. People say something like "the front end of the receiver gets overloaded" and images of strong stations appear in places where they shouldn't. Especially in ham bands or somewhere where the average radio listener wouldn't tune. I get Turkey and China like that sometime in ranges well over 20 MHz where there's no broadcasting taking place. Their signal sound distorted and can't be fixed by fine tuning or SSB. If nothing is scheduled and it doesn't sound like a pirate, it's too professional.. On MW it's possible to have images or "birdies" of local FM stations. They come couple of them mixed up creating an awful mess:) But happened only when I experimented with wrapping a longer wire around portable ( which helped to boost reception of some MW stations) and the rest of wire had to be connected to a spike pushed into ground.
@@dxadventures562 you're right, I also listened tonight via different web SDRs. Could be a spurious signal if the transmitter has any issues. Hopefully someone will get an idea what it was.
