Dear Nancy, Thank you for your insightful comment and for watching the video. You've touched upon a profound truth - our fundamental nature, Pure Consciousness, is indeed always already awakened and enlightened. This is the essence of self-realization, the recognition that our true self is not the limited, conditioned mind, but the boundless awareness in which all experiences arise and subside. It's not something we need to achieve or acquire, but rather something we need to uncover and recognize. The spiritual path, then, is a journey of remembering, of coming back home to this innate enlightenment. Your words beautifully encapsulate this non-dual understanding. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and for being a part of this community of seekers. Namaste.

Is the enlightenment mentioned by you in the video the same as Self-realisation or Brahma Jnana mentioned in the scriptures of India? If so, are you a Self-realised person or Brahma Jnani?
@NonDual123
@NonDual123 4 месяца назад
In the context of Advaita Vedanta and other non-dual spiritual traditions, enlightenment, self-realization, and Brahma Jnana are often used interchangeably to describe the direct experiential understanding of one's true nature as pure consciousness, beyond the limitations of the body, mind, and ego. However, it's important to note that enlightenment is not something mystical or supernatural, but rather a state of clear understanding and direct insight into the nature of reality. It is the recognition of the non-dual nature of existence, where the separation between the individual self and the ultimate reality is seen through as an illusion. Enlightenment is not a special experience or a mystical state, but rather a shift in perspective, a deep understanding that one's true nature is the eternal, unchanging consciousness that underlies all experiences. This understanding is not intellectual but experiential, and it brings with it a profound sense of peace, freedom, and wholeness. Regarding the question of whether the speaker in the video is a self-realized person or Brahma Jnani, it's important to approach such claims with caution. True self-realization is a deeply personal and intimate matter, and it is not something that can be easily assessed or verified by others. That said, if I say I am, it would be my ego. Our true state is enlightened. We don't need to do anything to be enlightened except to recognize our true nature. Moreover, those who have genuinely realized their true nature often do not feel the need to proclaim their attainment, as the very notion of individual achievement is seen through as part of the illusion of the ego. They may share their understanding and insights to help guide others, but they do so without attachment to any particular identity or status. Ultimately, the path to enlightenment is a personal journey of self-discovery and self-inquiry. While the guidance and teachings of those who have walked the path can be invaluable, it is up to each individual to directly investigate the nature of their own experience and to realize the truth of their being for themselves.

@@NonDual123There are many videos in the RU-vid by persons claiming that they are enlightened. When questioned closely they will say that they are only enlightened and not Self_realised. Thus they create separate meaning for the two terms. This is the reason behind my comment to which you have already replied. Thank you for your explanation.

Hey there, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. You're right, there's a lot of confusion out there about enlightenment and self-realization. To be honest, I don't feel "enlightened" in some special way. I'm just a regular person exploring these ideas like everyone else. The thing is, enlightenment isn't some fancy state we need to achieve - it's our natural state of being. We're all already "it," we've just forgotten. The mind loves to complicate things, doesn't it? It wants to turn enlightenment into this big, mystical experience. But really, it's incredibly simple. It's just recognizing what we already are beneath all the mental chatter. I'm not claiming any special status here. I'm just sharing what I've learned and experienced, hoping it might be helpful to others on the path. We're all in this together, you know? What are your thoughts on this? I'd be curious to hear your take on enlightenment and how you approach it in your own life.
@muralidharankv169

Well, enlightenment is not incredibly simple. It is incredibly difficult and rare. One in a million reach that state and that again after innumerable births and deaths. Forget about those who claim that they are enlightened. Enlightenment is big business, these days! An enlightened person knows everything, he is knowledge absolute. An enlightened person enjoys bliss absolute. No pain or sorrow can ever touch him. He is ever satisfied. This is how they describe the state of an enlightened person in Indian scriptures like the Gita and the upanishads. This state has to be reached by hard work through many many lives. It is not at all simple. The hardships and pain one has to go through is terrible. The obstacles one has to overcome are very difficult. The pitfalls and temptations on the path are innumerable. However, those who are strong and persevering will reach their goal by the grace of God and their Guru. Remember that the goal is perfection. Nothing short of that can be called enlightenment. You can verify your level of achievement by using these yardsticks. Hari Om.

@@NonDual123, Nonduality: Not Two; Only one. Alternate: “Not even One”. “One “ would not, and could not, recognize Oneness, as there is no comparison available. ONE simplifies Life. 😆.

Hey there! You've really hit on something profound with that "not even One" idea. It's like, once we start talking about "One," we're already creating a concept, right? And concepts are exactly what non-duality points beyond. It's tricky to put into words, but you're nailing it - there's no "thing" to recognize oneness because that implies separation. It's more like... everything just IS. No comparisons, no divisions, just pure existence. I love how you said it simplifies life. It's like dropping all the mental baggage and just being with what is. Pretty freeing when you get a taste of it! Thanks for diving deep with this stuff. It's conversations like these that really open up new perspectives. Keep exploring, my friend!

Hey Bronson, thanks for the question! Nah, this isn't neo-advaita. It's just straight-up non-duality, you know? Neo-advaita tends to oversimplify things and sometimes skips over the practical aspects of the path. What we're exploring here is more traditional non-dual teachings, but presented in a way that's relevant to our modern lives. We're diving into the core of non-dual understanding while still acknowledging the journey and the practices that can help us realize our true nature. It's about direct experience, not just intellectual understanding. Got any thoughts on the differences between neo-advaita and traditional non-dual approaches? Always interested to hear different perspectives on this stuff!

Yeah? But what about God realization?
@NonDual123
@NonDual123 2 месяца назад
Hey Ken, that's a great question! You're really diving into the heart of it. In non-dual traditions, there's often not a hard line between self-realization and God realization. It's more like they're two sides of the same coin. When we truly realize our deepest nature, we're also realizing the divine nature of everything. That said, different paths definitely emphasize different aspects. Some focus more on the personal experience of awakening, while others are all about union with the divine. What's your take on it? Have you explored different approaches to God realization? I'm always curious to hear how folks are navigating this stuff in their own practice. At the end of the day, whether we call it enlightenment, self-realization, or God realization, we're all pointing at that ineffable experience of our true nature. Pretty wild stuff, right? Jesus said: you are gods. Ok, not God, God, but the realization of self, consciousness is connected with God. Jesus said that No one has ever realized God. You can only realize yourself that is connected with God. Your spirit, consciousness only can be realized.

@@NonDual123 He said what? So, what about the Indian mystics who have met what we might call God, such as Ishwara, or are you not familiar with that tradition enough to know?
@NonDual123
@NonDual123 4 дня назад
Hey Ken, thanks for bringing that up! It's a fascinating angle to explore. You're right to point out the rich tradition of God realization in Indian mysticism. The concept of Ishwara and experiences of divine union are definitely a big part of that spiritual landscape. In non-dual teachings, there's often an understanding that the deepest realization isn't separate from what we might call "God." It's more like recognizing our true nature as inseparable from the divine or ultimate reality. Different traditions use different language, but they're often pointing to similar experiences. Whether we call it Self-realization, God-realization, or something else, it's about recognizing our fundamental nature. What's your take on this? Have you explored both Western and Eastern approaches to the divine? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on how they compare or intersect.

@@NonDual123 God realization is a misnomer for meeting and communicating with what one would call God (Ishwara in the Indian tradition) in the Sat-Chit-Ananda and is known by yogis who have traveled out of the body after the kundalini fully awakens, resulting in all the chakras opening starting with the bottom one and ending with the one above the top of the head. This is not the same as "self-realization" which often precedes it by some years, but in a deeper and more complete form as Self-realization per the Upanishads. I have no doubt that some Christian mystics have experienced much the same thing. A number of those who have had near-death experiences describe similar events, though without kundalini awakening.
@NonDual123
@NonDual123 2 дня назад
Thank you for sharing your perspective, Ken. Your knowledge of Eastern spiritual traditions is impressive. You bring up some fascinating points about the distinctions between God realization and self-realization in yogic traditions. The concepts of kundalini awakening, chakras, and out-of-body experiences you mention are indeed central to many schools of Indian mysticism. It's intriguing to consider how these experiences might compare to those of Christian mystics or people who've had near-death experiences. The commonalities across different traditions and experiences suggest there may be some universal aspects to these profound spiritual states. Your explanation highlights the complexity and depth of these spiritual concepts. It's a reminder that terms like "enlightenment" or "realization" can mean quite different things in different contexts. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge here. Discussions like this really enrich our understanding of spiritual experiences across cultures. Do you have personal experience with some of these practices, or is this primarily from study? Either way, your insights add a lot to the conversation.

Dear @ddaavvee68, Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your thoughts on the message and the voice. Your point about the artificial voice is well-taken - the medium can indeed impact how a message is received. I'll consider this for future videos. The content on enlightenment being accessible rather than mystical is the key focus, and I'm glad that resonated with you despite the voice issue. Your input helps improve future content.
