This 5 has zero problem saying “adios”. Life is short and the sooner I say goodbye the sooner I can get back to my book. Which I like better than you. Which is why I’m leaving. But that 5 is hilarious!
As a 9w1 this was scary accurate. I once went through a full hour long meeting with my boss discussing other important business, then finally told him in the last 10 min. We 9’s sure love to avoid conflict!
Yup!! My soon to be ex BF is a 9w1 and I am an 8w7 and although I have told him we are broken up..he keeps acting like we are still a couple...it's so painful to watch ; (
I’m a 9 and literally just quit my job 🤣 VIA EMAIL lol (it was a remote job which makes that less bad but lol still) also yes thank god I could avoid this mess 😆
I’m also a 9 and have done this. in that instance, i did it because i knew my then boss would make my last two weeks hell so i sent my letter of resignation via email (left once i sent it) and left all my keys + badge along with a report of the status of all my projects on my desk. turned off the lights and dipped.
@@alliesmith8423 Watching this, as a 9, I was thinking, "No, I was *much* firmer when I quit my job." Which I guess is technically true. But then I remembered that I also quit via email. 🤦
I did feel that as a 4. I was ridiculously dramatic about my cubicle or “gray box” at my last job, where I couldn’t fill it with ENOUGH fake flowers to make it amenable and there was no window near by. I’m hoping to leave my current job to focus on creative stuff... and do love candles... and wicker baskets...
As a 9 I immediately laughed at the very opening cos I relate to it so much given I just resigned last month - "So there is something I have been meaning to talk to you about" - in the most awkward avoidant shy tone lollll
This is AMAZING!!!!! 8w7. "I quit. It's not me. It's you. Thank U Next!" "What did I ever do to you Carl?!" I may or may not have been let go from a job because I took too much vacation time (& it was minimum wage fast food)! I may or may not have quit without a 2 weeks notice. Manager: Do you want to give 2 weeks? Me: Nope. I'm good. Bye. "What more would you like to hear?" "See ya."
As a 4, I love a good handmade soap but not From Whole Foods. I would never shop at a Walmart and with that spirit , I have jumped the Amazon train. So, no more Whole Foods, but farmer’s markets are still cool.
I'm an 8w9 and loyal and dedicated but can only take so many years of BS before it's time to find something else. In today's world it's super hard but even just a different shift or schedule to feel like I'm making my own decisions and not at the whim of the system is refreshing. It can also be hard when you have pressures of a family to support but sometimes you just have to say "fuck it" and follow your gut and go with your heart not your head.
I’m a 7w8 and I just quit my job of 2.5 years, and WHEW! Both the 7 and 8 ones were disturbingly close to how I *felt,* if not how I *did.* ...And yes, I’m starting my own business now! 🥳😂
I felt really felt the 5 and 4. When I resigned 2 months ago As a 5w4 I internally was like 4 but externally was just like this is really awkward and sent and email. They knew why I was leaving there was a annotated memo on both our parts. Maybe one day I will send my feedback 6 months from now lol
I recently handed on my notice... I kept it brief and firm. I had to rein in the essay which I could have written about why the workplace is failing to keep new hires. 😂 I decided the place didn't deserve my mental energy. -5
I had to put in my 2 weeks yesterday (I'm a 9w1) and it got to the point where one of my supervisors was like "stop saying sorry!" I then said sorry for saying sorry so much. This is my life 😂
@@juliafregoso417 He said he “Would enjoy quitting your job for you. (Not a hollow offer.) Just go in and drop the microphone then walk out.” He also said he needs to start a business Turning in peoples resignation forms for them. I think he’s onto something...
The nine is super accurate... I've literally never quit a job... I've worked at the same place for seven years. Before that it was just internships and summer jobs
5 Here. Cannot believe how spot on this was. “There are just TOO many people working here.” “Just walking into the break room drains half my battery.” Making fun of the friendly questions from coworkers that feel so inane and yet invasive and tedious and intolerable. SPOT. ON.
One time I quit a tutoring job (for a really tough class) because I was studying full-time and worked somewhere else as well... I broke down in tears in the office and ran away immediately after the meeting. I'm a 5w4... so I really tried to never see that prof in person for the rest of my time at the institute 🤣
As a 6, I did all those things! I told my boss that I was quitting in January. Told her I’d stay to help find my replacement and train her. Didn’t leave till September...🙄😅
Type 9. Had 2 jobs around the time of my wedding. I'd worked at job 1 for 8 years and job 2 for 2 months. Job 1 (retail) decided to schedule me on my wedding day even though I'd requested the day off in advance. Politely spoke with the scheduler who said she couldn't make any changes. Didn't make a fuss and excused myself after her thanking her for trying to help. Didn't say a word about the issue to anyone for the rest of the day and worked it like normal. I left at the end of my shift and that was it. Never submitted a letter of resignation. Avoided the store location for years. Ignored all phone calls and threw away any letters that came from them.
Bahahaha! I watched this as I was preparing to turn in my two weeks notice and DIED when the two brings cookies ... because I was planning to do the same thing!
Seen pretty much all the Enneagram Funnies and this shot straight up to my favorites list!!! Every single character was so well written and acted. From the eye movements to the pauses between words to the tone of voice -- brilliant! Fantastic job, Michelle and Leeann!
7w8 always had a new job to got to before I put my two weeks. And during my two weeks I hyped up my “exciting new venture” to my boss and co-worker’s so they won’t be mad or upset 🤣
I'm a Type 9, and even going into my bosses office to express something I'm struggling with within the job, or a conflict with a co-worker that we can't seem to resolve on out own, is enough to give me such anxiety that I will spend an entire day at work considering all the ways I could bring it up and all the was my boss could respond. All of them usually end badly in my head. At the end of the day I walk into the office, timidly bring it up, and it always goes better than expected. Regardless, I will lose two hours of sleep that night replaying it in my head about how it could have gone better, or wishing I said something with a bit more confidence or assertiveness. 9's disintegrating to a 6 when in stress is SO real, and I wish I could change that about me! (I'm not crying, you're crying!) I've actually always left jobs on good terms (except for one because my boss was a psychopath and I quit after less than two months), but I always had a good excuse, like I'm going back to school, or I need full time, or I'm out of college and need something in my field. I've now been in the same job for 12 years. Every year I want to quit, but every time I convince myself to stay, because THEY need ME! :(
Gah! Get out of my head. I am a 5 and the charts are so me at times when I resign. However, since I have a tendency to drift to the unhealthy, I'm more of a 7 when I quit. Go big or go home. Also while repeating 8 all the time in my head.
Type 9w8 here, who apparently quits like an 8.... But i had to have a big discussion with my boss last week.... And i had to initiate it, which was difficult for me... It ended up going well (thankfully)..... And at the end of it, i asked her if she was doing ok. She smirked, and said "you were the one who needed to talk, not me" 😆😄 So, yeah, accurate
@@LeeannMichellefunny I don't understand 4's, but it doesn't matter!! Everyone is precious is Jesus' eyes, and each type brings glory to God in their own unique ways. 💕 Yes, we love our 4's!
This was great! I’m a pretty experienced quitter and type 8. It’s true SE, entrepreneurship and/or Consulting are best for us as and we want leadership positions. #1 reason we quit is bureaucracy - too many rules and rigidity in the culture. My biggest pet peeve is leaders who fear failure and drag the entire place down to analysis paralysis.
These are pretty great! I feel like the 5 is pretty off-base though, maybe it's just because I have a couple 5 friends that don't fit that mold at all. She plays 5 as an awkward nerd, overly-quantitative thinker type. 5s can be really qualitative, emotionally deep and woo though, especially 5w4s. To me, the funny foibles of 5s are like, they never get to the point, SUPER introspective, and are pretty afraid of others' expectations for them. "Oh, so you wanted me to do this? Well, I was thinking about that, but then that made me think about this, and then I thought about this, and how can I get started on that without first addressing this...2 hours later...what were we talking about again?" The 4,6 and 7 are 100% my bff's and I though XD
As a type 4 I cringed when she said "spread my wings and fly"...definitely tastes so bad in this human mouth...I felt sad with her...disappointed as well😂
Definitely! We are constantly working on improving our characters and unfortunately have to keep the videos relatively brief, but we try our best to do them all justice!
Omg the 2!! Felt it in my soul. The last time I quit a job (9 years ago) I cried in the president’s office because I would miss them so much. Also handed out handwritten thank you notes on my last day, cause I didn’t think of the birth stone jewelry. 🤣
