I'm in my 60s now and this film is dear to my heart , I remember as a kid in the 1970s seeing it on TV for the first time and the music has stayed with with .Parts of this album brings me to tears , to this day . I can still connect to music to parts of the film and I would love a piece of this music played at my funeral
Spaghetti western was used as a derogatory term for westerns made by Italians who were considered incapable of making such films whereas Sergio Leone transformed the genre to one with meaning. So much that they will stand the test of time. Morricone's music took these films to to the level of masterpieces.
I've been crazy about this movie since it was originally called "Duck you Sucker". Wonderful movie, with two of the finest actors ever to grace the screen! Naturally Ennio Morricone writes excellent music for this sleeper of a western. Thank You!
I love every soundtrack of this film . And even the scenario of the film seems so simple at first sight, but the moment we let the story progress and we discover the complexity and the desires of the characters, the film becomes much more interesting and especially with the references that Sergio Leone set up. and then there is the music of Ennio Morricone which embellishes the whole film, I am thinking in particular of Dopo l'Explosion. I would say it's my favorite movie of all time and it breaks my heart to think that it didn't have the success it wanted and that's why I call it the ghost movie R.I.P Sergio & Ennio The best duo of all times
Ennio Morricone really knew how to make a piece of music that has serious and at the same time humoristic atmosphere and from which a listener gets new thoughts and ideas and at the end enjoys a glorious finale. I'm referring to Marcia Degli Accattoni but this whole album is an uncomparable masterpiece.
Ennio Morricone is a Master, I thank him from the bottom of my heart, for his contribution to some of the Greatest cinema theme music ever. He has enriched my life, and continues to do so.

Brilliant.....Not a great film, but what a score...One of Ennio's best. His great friend Sergio Leone and he were in the same school and class growing up as children. Amazing really.
