whenever I cooked them, they were pretty stringy. I tried frying it less or more (from 1 minute to 10 minutes), but it's always stringy. What's the trick, or are they just like that?

You can buy them at the Asian market, I don’t think it’s a common item in a western grocery store. There are also some online Asian grocery delivery services, when they’re on sale my mom always buys like 4-5

I'm lucky I could eat it everyday. The mushroom's shape fits saucy or soupy base dishes. It takes on all of its flavour added with the mushroom flavour. On a cold day? Bliss.
@user-xf8oz7nx2p and the water was being boiled inside the actual pot. It wasnt a big amount of water so it didnt need to be like,, full on boiled. I dont think you understand food.
Never heard of enoki mushrooms till I took a job in the produce department. These seemed interesting and was curious about how it could be used in cooking.
They cook quicker than button mushrooms and usually eaten in clusters like he showed, some popular ways to eat them are in hot pots, stewed in last or pan fried with some sauce

Well it's rather old consept of using left overs to make something else that we people have simply forgot. You probably heard of soups before, good soup stock and broth is made from left overs, good soup broth can be even used for years over and over again which makes it taste better. Same goes to bread, best breads and soups are the ones that were originally made like 10 years ago, and the key component part has been used again ever since with taking care of it like it was bonzai tree.

@@pudas9381 despite being a mushroom, they don't have a mushroom like taste to be honest. But the texture is crunchy, as enoki are a bundle of multiple string like mushrooms.

Fun fact! Those mushrooms don’t digest in your stomach, so you poop then out just as they are. When I had these, I pooped them almost whole and thought I had worms and was MORTIFIED

I've tasted that specific sauce for fried noodles, the Buldak Korean brand, and it's SO SPICY so I'm literally impressed he's not showing anything (or almost), and that he's finishing everything
