To be clear: This video was supposed to come out right after I sent this feedback to Pixonic. I wanted to release the video sooner, but things got in between. Yesterday, we got news of the 9.8 Update that does include a change to Choke which could very well be a result of my feedback. However, the suggested Change is not enough! The Choke duration goes down to 5 seconds with a slightly longer cooldown but in return you cannot free yourself from choke anymore with flight / dash, etc. And the problematic remains: 800m range, no immunity to it which means you can get choked right away again, anti-control effects literally promise to prevent control-taking effects... Phase Shift won't let you fall out of it. All these things are terrible for the gameplay. Enough with destroying and ruining other peoples gameplay by simply pressing a single button. That's nonsense. Especially at 800m range through walls, without line of sight. So, to me: Even the 9.8 suggested change isn't going to address many issues Choke causes.
Oki true, I am tired of it too. I own a newton but it's not a sniper set up bc I didn't get the weapons. Like the only op titans I own are rook and newton. But I hope they don't keep the change fully in the test sever bc if so the newton will be worthless at that point
You know, the Choke ability is Pretty overpowered But I realized I think we have to realize Having pixonic weakened a Titan or robot Isn't helping us It's making it worse Because you see another broken robot or Titan is just gonna come into the game And then we have nothing to fight them with. So then we're forced to buy again and again Nerfing isn't helping. It's making it worse so far as I can see Because it's always gonna be another OP Weapon a Titan or robot And then the cycle starts over

Even thou i quit playing this game several months ago.I still find myself getting angry watching the video. As I see how they continuously up the ante on the Unreasonableness. Their moral compass is not only broken, it is obliterated. It's nothing wrong with being successful. But it is most definitely something wrong with what we see here.

And people on the subreddit be getting mad at players who quit matches when stuff like this happens all the time. Not everyone is a maxed out whale with bots that can survive this bs. If we aren't having fun, that's not our fault, but the game for being the unbalanced mess it is...
The problem with war robots is they are constantly finding ways to remove parts of your game play, the choke ability just straight up removes skill from the game, the new weapons remove healing and support robots from the game, the mute battleship removes your ability to shoot the enemy, all that's left is just removing you from the game entirely.
thats what gaming ha gotten to, everything is being "balanced" for the casuals. got insane ly op equip but still suffer from a skill issue and get outplayed? well dont worry, pay 100 bucks and you will remove any ability to resist your attacks or fight back. this game especially is really good at that
Thank you for writing to Pixonic. It is frustrating that a robot/weapon combo can be so unfair. Tonans themselves are too OP, but removing the option to strategically hide behind cover is frustrating. I know these last 2-3 releases of game breaking robots, Newton, Ococochi, etc.
Hear me out. I love the Newton. On paper, it was a very cool idea, when I first heard about it, I was like, "Cool, we are getting a new Sharanga!" I saw its ability stats and thought it was going to be no fun to play with. Then I have to play against it. I used my Newton for only a few games. The only new robot I use now is the Dagon, which isn't broken (maybe it has a powerful shield, but many run shield-break) all the others are collecting dust. I agree with Manni. It is very frustrating to have no control over my game because of the Newton. I really hope Pixonic will start implementing better things into the game from now on. One can hope. I still enjoy playing the game, but enough is enough with these ridiculously overpowered abilities, robots, and battleships! I wish everyone well, and hope y'all are doing good, and I'll see y'all when we watch Manni's next vid!

I've actually mentioned multiple times on my live streams that Newton needed to be nerfed down and in Pixonic's chat. Just remember I handle things differently to other creators. When you don't see me make videos it doesn't mean I "agree" with Pixonic. Also my view on "game design" will vary to others as I have a different experience and perspective on things. For example my last few jobs I've worked with developers and in a corporate setting I know how things can be sometimes - I take all of these things into consideration not just from the business side but what I have also witnessed in other games.

@@Pawit01 Many of their designs are actually very good. The problem is in the execution and quality. They spend so much resources coming up with great concepts, designing great weapons and bots but yet the execution is poor. Look at all the offers we sometimes have and the mistakes in those offers. Or... the description of robots and weapons being wrong etc. I've said this before too with all the effects - they spend a lot of time making robots look cool but it doesn't really matter much if I can't even admire them in battle because there's so many other things going on. Pixonic needs to spend more time on quality control in my opinion - this goes for the release of any content and test servers especially. Don't have test servers if your content on the test server isn't working or you have connection problems. As far as I'm concerned when this happens you have nothing to really show because your concept/design is half done.
The only defense is to find specific parts of the maps where you get hooked on an overhang and prevented from going up in the air too far. Still get shot to bits by everyone else while choked though. I've never seen the game as broken as it is right now.
There should be multiple ways to break free from choke as mentioned: anticontrol, phase shift, ravana-style phase shift, etc. A good way to improve the fairness of tonans and fulgus weapons could be to give them the need to lock on, like the zeus does. Same style of weapon, same relative damage, same range, same lock-on, same cool-down.
I feel like what happened to the Transcendence ability will happen to anti control. Once the rust weapons made their sales and were nerfed, they made it so transcendence would remove the rust effect. They will most likely have the anticontrol “bug fixed” and finally prevent the choke ability in the 9.8 update now that Newtons have made their sales. It’s just insanely sick that you have to go after this one person just to play the game. This is not the War Robots from my childhood years ago when things were balanced and tested well.
@@AverageNerdGamer Rust now also goes away with phase shift, so not really a buff as much as just a fix. All of these abilities remove all effects, so the rust never should have lasted through them. There was no reasoning behind why rust didn't used to go away with these abilities, so Pixonix likely wants us to assume that it was a mistake. If you hadn't noticed, pixonic makes "mistakes" like these all the time (seraph laser going through walls, special edition hitboxes, etc). These "bugs" last while the robot is meta, and are then "fixed" when pixonic decides the robot/weapon should be bad. Same applies to the rust weapons. If there was no explanation for why rust lasted throughout phase shift, then it must be assumed to be a mistake, whether or not it is a real mistake or a coverup by pixonic.

Finally, been waiting days for this. Also, if they chose to balance everything right, it wouldn't be that hard. Lastly, in terms of the ultimate items, if they made it so 3 maxed regular ones could exchange for 1 ultimate - everyone would be happy.
On behalf of the part of the community that loves the game and how fun it used to be, we thank you for being our voice Manni! I've been debating on whether or not I can continue playing this game. I want to, but the frustration just isn't worth it. I really hope your feedback makes WR better!
I feel you, I have left WR, for all sort of reasons, but balancing being the main issue. Hope they sort t out as I love "what the game used to be". WR RIP.
Thank you for making this video!! I HATE THIS ROBOT!! When my teammates have this robot I don’t shoot the players that are lifted in the air. Also I don’t drop any more of my bots if the other team has multiple Newtons. I noticed that other players are doing the same this as well. I would argue that the Newtons ability is greater than 800m as well. It’s needs to be no greater than 300m. Newtons should have to put themselves in vulnerable positions to use that ability just like some of the other titans!!
Agreed. I will not spend any more money on this game until balancing improves as you suggested. My friends who play the game, 6 of us, have all agreed to not spend even 1 dollar until Pixonic decides to put fair game play and long term game health and satisfaction above short term Profits.
I love manny the only real loud voice for the war robots community and has that stand up and take charge attitude although all his efforts are fruitless, to the people still loyal to war robots and to manny we all deserve a better game not whatever this is

Oh boy I've been waiting for this video... I 101% agree with this. I miss the old days when there were no motherships or drones... and the abilities although very strong, not as game breaking as it is now. WR has been a p2w game for years, but I don't think it was ever so insane as it is now.
The choke ability is so annoying when you are lifted by 1 player then dropped back down to then be relifted by another player immediately after landing to then lose your titan or robot if they didn't succeed with the first choke. I agree Manni the Newton needs a strong nerf to it so that it's put it in storage and not to be used again.
It is absolutely fine to lose your temper on live stream when such unacceptable things happen in the game. I haven't spent any money on the game so I have never had this titan, but they do occasionally spawn on the enemy team, and when they do, its a massacre. I do apologise for not subbing before but I am for sure and I completely agree and understand your frustration and players should value such an amazing creator who puts the players before anything and has the guts to raise their voice. Good video Manni! Pixonic has never cared about the health or balance of the game, but thanks for making the effort on behalf of the community. One disagreement we have is that I do blame the players…just like the players who run multiples of whatever the meta bot / weapon of the moment is. Just because Pixonic enables unbalanced play, the community could choose to be self-policing, and I do see more and more of the top / skilled players showing some restraint. Hopefully others will as well. Pixonic is culpable, but many players are too.
Hm yeah... players can maybe be blamed for "buying into these things". But at the same time... If the game developer hasn't provided content in a state that allows those who buy it to steamroll the others, that whole thing wouldn't be possible. Which brings me back to putting the responsibility and blame where I think it belongs.
ive been killed by the lightning newton HUNDREDS of times. im glad its getting somewhat of a nerf. im extremely joyed that those weapons are getting a 12 second reload nerf. my Revenge will be swift and sweet
And sadly everyone, who invested money into those weapons will get an almost disarmed weapon back. Money greed from Pixonic without end. A deadly cycle.

It isn't their fault the system is like this, but if they do nothing and simply keep spending, they're just another link in the chain. We need to protest all these powercreep problems and downright malevolent and evil business practices by not funding pixonic. Because that's who cares at the end of the day. The marketing team and numbers teams that design the statistics, they're why this game is in such a bad state. The predatory cycle of mishandled development of what could be a great game is all in the hands of the ceos and the bigwigs. Not the fault of the players, the payers, the artist team, the coders, the people who make promotional material(different from marketing teams and sales), etc...I can't imagine how poorly the employees are being handled despite how hard they work on the visuals, only for the pigs sitting up top to earn the highest dollar. What a shame.

It’s the 800m that was the problem of chokehold ability and weapons. Pixonic doesn’t have enough common sense to build a proper balanced system, they’ve just gotten worse throughout their years.

Not really. Still get choked at 800m range with non of your anti controls or phase shifts preventing it. No immunity given after choke. So another one can do it right after. Even after 9.8 Choke will be a problem.

honestly i have it and done some fun stuff with it. krait basilisk is a LOT of fun to play with on the newton. (i also refuse to usechoke ability on anybody thats not within 350M)
there's no way pixonic isn't feeling shame by now. Or rather, the developers who make the decisions around balancing and marketing. And also the CEO who allowed it. It's absolutely impossible that a single person doesn't know about this balancing stuff, and so now the next step is just to build up the community's noise enough for something to happen... eventually. Otherwise everyone will just leave and take the game down with them.
I've been leaving up to 30% of battles because the enemy has had an army of Newtons. The next problematic robot will be the Curie. They are so tanky and very hard to kill. Anyway, it will probably be nerfed in a few months. I have a Curie, but I may not level it up. One of the ways to have Pixonic sit up and take notice is for players to stop or curtail their investment in the new robots and weapons.
I honestly think the newton having a choke ability was a mistake in the 1st place. Every ffa or tdm im in theres always 4 to 2 newtons lifting the same player over and over i cant even enjoy my indra without being choked every 4 seconds.
Thank you Manni. We as players need your voice. The only way things will change is with content creators like making a loud noise about this problem. I have been in matches where my team is winning until the Newtons come out. 3 of them will just stand in their spawn cycling choke abilities. It makes me want to leave matches. Sometimes I do. I figure if they are going to play like a noob, standing in their spawn, then the least I can do is deny them a kill

I'm glad you made this video. I have a Baihu Luchador with 1.2m hp and I will get shredded by 1 or 2 Newtons. Most times I won't even be close enough to fire upon them. Tbh, I have quit the game for awhile, but as soon as they fix it, I will gladly jump back on!
I agree with you Manni. Newton and many other aspects are so broken only for sales. Another stupid and brutal nerf is the Kestrel drone. Its not only a nerf but changing the complete functionality of the drone!

Well said Manni! If you don't play a Newton you are likely dead quickly. Some games I killed 4 or 5 of the opposing team's Titans with my Newton. All my hangars have Newtons. Senseless to play anything else. To give the Fulgars and Tonans 800M range on a Titan with choke was insane to begin with. Opposing Titans are often dead before they even get into their weapon's range.

Great video Manni. You should run your own account more often to really feel the frustration of paying players. Your reaction at the end of this video has been our reaction since before the drone rebalance, and about EVERYTHING. Not just the choke. There's no bigger slap in the face than to see how worthless your entire hangar is unless you have the current meta, And recent releases are making it worst by removing the control of the bots we DO have.
You and Adrian are my favorite WR content creators and this vid proves why . Appreciate you using your platform to push back at Pixonic because the average users voices ain't being heard . I only started using my ocho once it became "killable" no fun instant spawn raiding and winning a game in 2minutes .

There is so much confliction within this game that it is making so many things get worse. At the time I stopped playing WR but then came back. Enjoying what I can here and there, this Titian's abilitie (choke) are causing games to not be fun anymore, especially all these new weapons and robots that we don't need at all. I have had encounters with the Newton before and it was not pleasants. So I agree Manni, enough is indeed enough.
You will always have my support, im refusing to even play the game till mute and newton is fixed, mute literally takes away my ability to play the game, no amount of skill can get you out of the effects both give, thanks again for standing up to pixonic and saying whats needs to be said!!! Bro, you made an amazing point about the Choke distance! Imo, if it was 600m I don't think that would be that bad. Just that 200m different forces the Newton to be in range of most powerful weapons, making it much more vulnerable.

Pixonic needs to bring back skill and strategy, and forget about overpowered bots and weapons. We don’t want nukes! I have been playing this game for years on multiple different accounts and no matter what i love about the game the hatred i have for the game currently and what pixonic is doing to it outweigh my love for it 100x over and even when i had the chance to get some of these robots i chose different ones because of how much i despise them, i have been watching your channel for as long as i can remember and i will remain standing with you!
Manni, I completely agree with this video. Pixonic has turned this from titan shoots titan from hacker shoots titan. Pixonic has almost killed War Robots themselves.

Manni I completely agree with you. I will definitely partake in the action to not lift smaller older robots. Thankfully I think big nerfs are coming soon because I was on the test server, trying Fulgar and Tonan’s on the new titan and they were practically useless. I hope change comes soon. Thank you for taking a stand for us. I have cut back my game play in this game. From daily to 1-2 times a week now. Cost is one of the biggest factor, next is how quick the new unaffordable, invincible robots come out that it destroys my robots before I can move and fire a shoot. It's too bad cause it used to. E a great game. $$$$ is destroying the game, and players are leaving. Thank you for trying to change the direction of the ga.e.
I absolutely agree, the Choke ability is way to overpowered. I currently have left the game after literally getting choked 7x times in a row by 3 Newtons. I missed the Mute battleship but have been hit by it, so overpowered

The game itself is bad not just the newton who remembers when the hawk was so powerful but not to much and that it was just fun now i swear it is so frustrating now and i cant even say anything thank you manni for writing to wr you have my respect truly i just want to never have to play war robot again but i still do since a very long time idk why
Ravana and Indra should be immune from choke effects as soon as they use their abilities and that mute is the same as if I’m in my ability with said bots and someone uses the mute on me then I cannot move and therefore I have to leave games because I don’t want to face those players in the next game and this is a problem which we all know Pixonic will not fix anytime soon so I’ve deleted the game from my device as the frustration is not worth it when I’ve smashed up devices through Pixonic’s absurd system! Great content as always Manny but I cannot tolerate this behaviour of Pixonic ripping us off no more!
I am a F2P player in Master's League II. I am so overwhelmed by this situation. I've started leaving games whenever this happens. I am considering quitting the game momentarily. I totally understand your point of view. Going back to what you mentioned about making mistakes. I've had to make so many mistakes in order to learn from them and be in the league where I am now. That's why you're my fav War Robots mentor 'cos you speak for us, for the community, for the good of the game, I know so many players around the world will also be mad at Pixonic because they spent lots of money to get a Newton and now it'll be nerfed but I hope they understand that Newton's ability is breaking the game so bad to the point that many players even from Champion league are leaving the game because once a Newton it's deployed the match is lost. Hey Manni! Great job. Gonzo!!! / Bodacious Blonde here. I’ve played this game for way too long. Met some great players. The game has become more and more unplayable in recent years. I continue to say, my time is coming to end the madness and leave. I have a Newton and took it out because the titan is ridiculous. Once I put that titan in the game was over. Players either left or couldn’t recover. When it started happening to me with multiple Newtons like you said the game became completely unplayable and I left. Learned my lesson. The Newton is ridiculous. No skill. Speaking of which when I had the Newton with Ocho players were reporting me as a cheat. Crazy! That’s how bad these new robots are. Another awful idea as you briefly mentioned is the new mothership. I’ve been targeted at times by players with that new mothership and bam! I can’t see, control, or do anything. A sitting duck for how long? 11 seconds? That’s crazy! And when it finally ends? I’m targeted again. Only choice is to leave. Pix needs to nerf these things. Last comment. Remember the days when we didn’t have Titans and Motherships? These titans come in before the game is half over. Great games are rare that last the entire 10 minutes and everyone says, wow what a great game. Remember those days? Again, thanks Manni for the videos
I cannot control who else fields the Newton or the Ochokochi, but I own a Newton ... which I've refused to field. I also own an Ochokochi ... which I also refuse to field. In general, if I get killed even once by a Newton's CHOKE ... I simply kill the volume, set down the phone, and concede the match. And swear another blood oath to take my frustrations out on Pixonic's bottom line ... which is also something I can - _in my own small way_ - influence.
When I got the Newton, I used it for a couple of days before seeing that it takes the fun out of the game. Not just for the players going up against it, but for me as well. I stopped using it altogether for the sake of other players.
I played heavily 2017-2020, then gave it up over frustration with Pixonic. I went insane over the past Christmas holiday, and picked it up again. I went so insane, I purchased a couple of the two Purple Data Pad deals. Winning a Newton. And I thought that back in the day, a full Suppression hangar (Blitz, Nightingale, 3X Rayker) hangar was as trolling as it gets. I was apparently just a babe in the woods though, as nothing, not one thing, is as infuriating as the Newton. And mine is only using 600m weapons. I have no idea how many people are leaving the game because of the Newton, but I can't help but think that overall sales will soon be affected. I don't know if you've tried this, but maybe do some gameplay in a Masters level account, using bots and weapons available for either inexpensive direct purchase, or through manageable f2p gameplay. This would showcase your skills versus those who are pure credit card warriors.
i couldn't argee more! the state of the game as of balancing is really ffd up at the moment. me personally am a free to play pleyer with not even one meta robot in my hanger, and i just am no match for these ophions ochokochi's, newtons and rooks, i've been playing this game since 2016 so i am still a pretty skilled player (as i say myself) which is the reason why i am master 2 currently. in my opinion the biggest problem is the tonans and fulgur. it shouldn't be possible to oneshot my max level ao ming (ik it's outdated) but still. shooting 500.000 dmg every 5 seconds is crazy. and if were talking about robots the ochokochi is really a problem, i've had my whole hanger killed by just one.... but props to you manni ur the best i really like your content and i really hope pixonic does something about this if anyone want to see my hanger btw platform: android player ID: IQVT4Y player name: qwert9000
