“Udzh” is an old Adyghe ritual dance. During the performance of this dance, a new stage in the relationship of the dancers is revealed, and therefore their movements, views, location in the dance in relation to each other express very contrast against the background of the already familiar dance movements.
The stage version of the performance naturally differs in many ways from the original, which is normal. The uj itself, like many dances, has lost its semantic meaning and is already being performed as a national dance. Nevertheless, it looks solemn and elegant both at home and on stage.
This video shows the performance of the "Kabardinkа" State Dance Ensemble. Happy viewing!
