These were good tips but id more call them basic tips. To me an adv tip would be something like placing a flame at a village and equipping your hammer to deconstruct buildings and getting loads of resources some of which you wouldn't normally get early. And then extinguishing the flame so that when you log out and back in the village reappears
Haha I thought the same whole playing. That has to be one of the “early access” things. No way they put an entire comfort building section in the game for visuals only.
3:07 just yesterday I was like oh I should finally check off the queens catacombs quest. Jumped up the back of the hill because I couldn't find the entrance. That put me on the roof. The roof has holes. I peaked in each until I saw the gold chest. Made a flame alter to tp to if I made the wrong guess and then jumped down. Yes, correct. Skipped the whole dungeon. 😅
Here's one for the builders among you: Wanna build a cellar under your house, but are in no mood the pickaxe everything? Get your build hammer, some rough stone blocks and place them into the ground, then remove them by right clicking. Voila, a nice square hole in the ground. Just dug out a 5x6 large blocks wide and 2.5 large walls high celler in under 10 minutes :D Oh and make yourself a grappling hook anchor outside where you are digging to get out of that hole if you haven't decided where to place the stairs yet.
@@desto13c Yes, but the blocks snapping to each other makes it so easy to precisely dig just just what you want, where as the voxel tool can be a bit frustrating at times. Plus with the large blocks you remove more material faster.
Wouldn't there be problems when you reset your world? As of right now, everything completely resets when you rejoin, all the loot from the locations, map location markers, anything you have mined, etc. That's the only reason I haven't tried to far
@@brendolbreadwar2671 The flame altar prevents the resets in the marked area around it. I have not yet found out how deep the protections reaches into the ground thou. But for now it is working.
@@DasIllu The Flame Altar says "40 x 40 x 40" or "80 x 80 x 80" etc., so the protected area should be a cube with the altar at the center. I don't know if those numbers are the distance from the altar or full length of one side, probably the latter.
Ive noticed that the Skyrim jumping can effect the glider too. ive had some moments where im gliding up a hill or across the ground for awhile before it registers im on the ground
@@TotalXclipse if you unequip the shield then you can reactivate flight instantly, otherwise the shield animation stops you from reopening the glider for a bit
You can find stone in the desert areas as well. Best places are mining stone roads or mining those stone markers next to road. Also, if you get the best glider and updraft skill, it's sometimes wise to keep a hold of advanced glider if you want to be more maneuverable with updraft, switching gliders when needed.
Got the game from a friend yesterday and playing it later today. I was quite pleased to see you doing videos on it already! :D Also, just because it stuck in my head while you were talking about food, here's a mindworm for folks: I like big buffs and I cannot lie ...
Farm! Farm farm farm! It's so OP. Once you have seed beds twigs and string become self sustaining. Camomile tea make early game exploration CHILDS play. Growing mountains of flax will save you so much time with mid game armors.
ive pumped about 40 hours into this with 2 of my classmates and i went down the tank tree, and one went down the healer / spell casting. i am nearly unkillable when he is near me. ive almost maxed out the tank, barbarian and athlete trees. one thing i am finding that is extremely annyoing is how much good items the magic users get than the other classes / styles. i have found 1 good 2 handed hammer while we just continue to find loads and loads of magic weapons and stuff. game is hella fun nontheless
You don't need to make a new character to get the rake if you're over level 5. You can simply find it in the crafters menu in your journal then tag it. Im at work now so I can't look at the specific jargon, but basically you tag it and it shows up as craftable. If you untag it disappears
Double Jump is just OP in this game. Also, I would be careful with using map markers, as they tend to create a bug where certain flame spires will no longer appear on the map for fast travel points.
another exploration tips ( i love going into the mountains and go to the map limit ) : on unclimbable cliffs , you can set your path by using pickaxe, and digging upward on the cliff. 1-2 hits on the cliff allows you already to jump in the new ''hole'' .. So not so much effort
Der beste Tipp: Niemals die erste Flamme upgraden, sondern erst einen schönen Platz suchen, nachdem man die Spitze der Hochweiden Warte erreicht hat. The best tip: Never upgrade the first flame, only look for a nice spot after you have reached the top of the Ancient Spire - Springlands Fast Travel.
so the rake is bugged out on some games, and its impossible to craft...but i found a workaround...create a new character, load into your world, then build a rake and put it in your storage, THEN reload your original character, and get it out of storage
@@Traywick2288 thats only if you made the rake BEFORE you unlocked the scrappy rake...if you unlock scrappy rake BEFORE you make a regular rake, the regular rake option will disappear, at least on my game
Something I actually said out loud last night (at the end of my first weekend with the game): "Ah, I see the Stone Fairy has littered near my home again." I don't really get into these survival games very much but so far this one's working for me well enough, I think? We'll see how I feel in another couple weeks, and as the devs make changes during Early Access.
Tip for ammo. Just play with wand. In the current game state there is absolutely no reason (other than RP and fulfilling your fantasy etc.) to play archer build. Damage is inferior. Requires you to create ammo constantly. You also need to aim. Did I also mention that shooting your bow uses the stamina? Wand has no ammo, you don't need to aim it, you do more dmg with it and you also have the staff for 2x-3x damage. Please buff the Archer ffs.
I think the mage does need a substantial nerf as you can one shot bosses 😅 but a strong archer build can be pretty epic, I plan to cover that at some point too
How did you throw a bomb so close to the wall? The blast radius is HUGE for me. I had to go all the way up the stairs to throw it and I still took damage lol
@1:32 you CAN dig through MOST blocks, BUT, you obviously CANT dig through the tower walls and also, while you CAN dig through MOST walls, to circumvent some doors, It will take an OBSCENE amount of time and your pick will lose ALOT of its durability and eventualy, break. Personally, I have broken through some walls, to get past a door, BUT, that seemed to glitch the game, as a boss I was trying to get to, diddnt spawn. Later, I came back, played through the area, as the devs intended, and everything was fine. The game IS "somewhat" open, but its definitely truncated, by progression. It IS an "open world" game, but sometimes, It just doesnt "feel" that way. Progression IS necessary for exploration, in many parts of the map, so, exploration is a MUST in this game......unless you wanna google/youtube every answer, but then STILL, you have your "character progress" and if it isn't up to snuff, you just take the time and grind more. This game isn't "inherently" hard, It all depends on your play style and if you're building your tree, to suit your way of playing. Its an amazing game, but only SINGLE PLAYER. My co-op experience with a buddy, was terrible. More glitches/bugs than it was worth.
why the hell does everyone keep calling it lava?? does that freaking look like lava to you? IT HAS VAINS it's plantlike or fleshlike. (it's basicly solidified enshrouded)
@@TotalXclipse i already carry an altar. it's been my forward operating base for quite a while. but eventually you''ll get stone right? (if you dig deep enoegh)
@2:36 WTF is "Spinning Wheel"? Do you mean the Loom? There's no "Spinning Wheel" or "Hand Spinner" in the game. There is a *Hand Spindle* and a *Loom*.......Maybe things are labled differently for other countries.....Just MAYBE.....and just MAYBE, I need to chill TF out.......🤦🤣
What the actual F is going on with your horribly disorganized inventory and chests? And why is your inventory so full of strange things to be carrying around while adventuring? Blocks, plantables, placeables, unusable items in quicks slots... What's going on?
I'm in the middle of doing a build video - hence the inventory full of building and plantables. As for the chests - not sure which I used but if it wasn't a magic chest, I was just temporarilly dumping stuff there
@@TotalXclipse Makes sense. I know you're better organized than that. I re-read my comment, and realized the tone was kinda shitty- I didn't mean that. I've been a long-time subscriber, so I AM a fan, and apologize if I came across as a dick.
I went around the entire map even climbing to mountain tops to fly over the deadly fog just by pickaxing and double jumping lol didnt even need to uograde my flame level

Another pro tip - if You want to farm a few exotic blocks You can put a flame altar near existing building or in certain dungeons and then use "block editing" mode (first line) to delete existing blocks by pressing left mouse button. Tested in the crypt near the starter area by farming a few thousand "bone blocks". Does not work with soil/terrain voxels - You still have to mine it with a pickaxe.
Don't carry stone to make an altar in the field, take the altar itself, if you pick up just a single extra lump of stone then you won't be able to craft one with a full bag without deleting something precious. NPC's need shelter but that only really means something above them so you can place your smith at an open air forge as long as there's enough of a roof over his head. Another way of getting up hills is to just quickly trigger the glider and if there's enough space to deploy it your character will go into the forward roll landing animation that will carry you up hill. Bit of a mechanical glitch but worth knowing about while it works
