Thanks, this was surprisingly easy with your instructions. When port forwarding on Fios with their new router, I had to provide an original port and the port that's forwarded to, for anyone seeing this, put the same port in both, so for Enshrouded, you'd put 15636-15637 in both slots; that almost did my head in since I have 0 knowledge about servers.

In the CMD window that pops up when you click the Launch button I keep getting- [resource] Could not load resource cache file 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Steamapps/common/EnshroudedServer/enshrouded_server.krc' . error=file not found I have reinstalled it twice and have done verify files multiple times and still get this error!

To add to someones comment if you get to the step where you cant see your dedicated server from steam favorites. Close it and Open the .exe File you can find it by right clicking the game in steam and going to local files. and Run the dedicated server then you should see it in the enshrouded game server list

PSA to all those who are trying to open Enshrouded with the dedicated server running and are receiving the Steam error that it's already open and will need to close: Open the Enshrouded Dedicated Server files and run the executable from there

The port for server - is it the IP4 address in ipconfig or copy the exact one in video?

The copy and paste into Windows Powershell isn't working for me. I'm in the admin one where I get Windows System 32 but that was so fast in your tutorial and it blinked real quick. your lines aren't visble

on the steam app i see the server and can add it to the list, have a latency measure and all. but then i cant seem to connect or see in the game the server listed.

Change port in the "Game Servers" to 15637 instead of 15636. This fixed the issue for me.

How do you get around Steam forcing your server to close on the other PC because it won't let you play the server and your game at the same time?

My problem is that after setup, I can find and join the server without issue. However, when my wife gets online, she can not find it. Steam doesnt even give the "+" symbol to add it manually.

Got my ports forwarded, firewall permission, and did everything else correctly. The server's working, i can mark it as "favorite", shows up in-game, BUT this is only working for me. My friends can't find it when marking as "favorite" in steam and also doesn't show in their game. They CAN only join when i'm in the server, and join via my username and not the server. What do i do :(

For me this is exactly the same. Tried different firewall settings, even installed it via Steam on my dedicated server. Nothing worked. On reddit was also this complaint, but no solution. I hope someone have one or they soon come with an update.

Same here! My friends only see the server if I join. They can keep playing when I disconnect. But they only can join if I'm in. @@123bartmaster

Server is still not showing up in list. and when i try to direct connect to it from the steam view > game servers, it trys to launch the dedicated server to connect, and not the game.

it tells me 0/16 connected and gives me a reasonable ping to the server. but when i try to join on my gaming machine (through steam game servers page) it tries to install "Enshrouded Dedicated Server" in order to join. And following this trail of breadcrumbs: It will install the dedicated server and just try to launch another dedicated server on my gaming pc.

having a few issues with this. one, my powershell deny's the copy and paste. Powershell x86 does not deny it. WIll that matter? Also, when i connect VIA steam favorites.. I can see the server, but it does not open my game or attempt to join. Does this mean ive made a mistake?

you need to start the server once, and close it, before that file is generatet :)

what is the difference between doing that or hosting a session natively in game? For example: currently, im playing with a friend hosting my session with him. In this case, he only can play in the session with my steam invite and i need to be online of course. With that in mind, what are the benefits of doing like you say instead?

you can keep the server online even if you are not in game by just having the server running in the background and your pc turned on of course.

You can have it constantly running. Meaning, my friends can play on our shared world even if my character isn't logged in.

for people having same problem: you have to launch the server from the executable directly NOT from steam.

Thanks but How set me as admin and which admin commands can i use? See players list, kick/ban, teleport, invencible, fly, ghost, spawn itens, spawn enemies, change weather, change daytime etc? Thanks!!!!

If your enshrouded server is not visable. Use the batfile that you have made. Shutdown the server and restart the bat file. It will update the server and then its visable again :)

For whoever that was doing everything right but still not working, load the enshrouded_server.exe file from the file explorer and not the "Enshrouded Dedicated Server" from Steam. It should work.
