I'm new to this band. I can't stop playing this! I ordered the CD from Amazon today. I'm getting the same feeling I had with 'Blackwater Park' back in 2001.

I just can't stop listening to this album. I've been a fan since the 90s. This is one of your best.

Enslaved are Enslaved. Familiar, but yet new and mysterious. Great album!

Whatever well you're drawing from seems bottomless. Another absolute masterpiece from one of the greatest bands of our era

Rarely do you find a group of individuals putting out new material this regularly and still outdoing themselves. Enslaved is special.

This is the only band that makes me listen to their albums endlessly.

I am thinking more and more that this will stand out towards the top of the Enslaved discography once some time to digest it has passed. Every album they have is a top one of course - this is really outstanding though. This album is pretty much the definition of 'progressive black metal' as far as I can see.

You guys are that one rare friend that just never bores or disappoints you. Always exploring new stuff while keeping the hiqh quality. Another impressive release, thank you very much 🤘

Enslaved delivers an album of epic scope.The one thing that stands out for me is how they can twist and turn,the riffs and song structures are so malleable.It's a dense listen in a good way.

Not a bad album in their entire discography, including this one. Super well done.

I'm quite new to this band but I gotta tell ya. If this is what they sound like YEARS LATER from their old stuff which is hailed as some of the best atmospheric black metal I can't imagine how good their discography is.

Enslaved doesn't "make music"....they speak the Norse gods' dreams on the scale of the great classics (Heimskringla, Iliad, Odyssey, Beowulf) to the backdrop of melodic, haunting, gorgeously brutal, layered, nuanced and thoughtfully arranged art. My favorite band for a decade, and for life.

bergen i believe is the capital of norway and thats where darkthrone is from and im a big fan of their work too interesting side note Floor Jansen from nightwish named one of her dogs fenriz which is what the singer from darkthrone calls himself i thought that was pretty cool its amazing to learn things like that wow the official videos like congelia and forest dweller are beautifully done i love how they show elements of nature and the animals and insects that live there and that its an 8 min journey is pretty cool journey just like the rest of it heard this album last year right after listening to metallica 72 seasons and omega infinity the antcurrent and solar spectre which are absolutely beautiful compositions in music and this album cover looks really beautiful with some clouds just above the tree tops gives it a more atmospheric one with nature feel which i love the guy singing on the song the eternal sea doen't have any rasp to his voice at all but still sound clean no voice effects well then the black metal rasp sounds wow that was a cool transition going between those two different vocal styles and it still works pretty well cool fade out then the winds with that prominant bass tone and guitar sound coming in for caravans to the outer world drums come in get it going with the quickened pace with the nice rasp and normal vocals sounds like such beautiful record

This album is growing on me with each listen. It didn't do much for me at first, but I'm getting there.

AOTY contender, as usual. Just the second part of Congelia justifies buying the whole album. A little less accessible than Utgard (i.e. a little fiercer, and 'foggier'), but with a lot of layers

I don't know if blackened prog metal is a genre but if it these guys invented it I prefer the term a thinking man's black metal band a total masterpiece of a album
