Ensoniq ASR-10 - standard sampling comparison. Samples was recorded on 33rpm, 45rpm and 78rpm and pitch down to default speed and samples was recorded in 44.1kHz and 30kHz.
To record samples I use:
Turntable Reloop RP-7000 with Ortofon Nightclub MK2
Mixer Pioneer DJM-T1

You know, If You compare beat machines by theirs legendary status - ASR-10 is really cheap, because I don't feel that is less legendary than MPC 3000 or SP-1200.

Definitely get now, it's they best sampler ever made, prices will go up to mpc 3000 territory next few years and imho it's the far better machine.

Sample comparison don't tell the whole story when it comes to the ASR10. One of the great things about the ASR10 is how good all the different samples/tracks fit/sound together.

You can tell that about every sampler/beat machine - I’m making that comparisons for people who are looking to buy a beat machine. When I started making beats, that was nearly impossible to find some examples how pitch works on them.

I'm not criticising you for doing sample comparisons. They are great. Rather I'm helping people better understand and appreciate what makes the asr10 so good -- by making a point about a very cool feature of the asr10 that sample comparisons do not capture -- it glues tracks together very nicely. And not every sampler does a good job at that. @@vubeatz

first of all, this ASR is not mine. I don't have EPS 16 also - but there is possibility, that I'm gonna borrow it :)

@@vubeatz the eps16 is similar but you can reduce the sample rate before sampling on the Inputs and use the filter right there. I love mine

@@Heatwavsi try to figure this out and anti aliasing filter you can turn off only on eps16 Asr10 don’t have that option. Correct me if I’m wrong

I’m working on it. You can find SP1200 on my channel, but it was borrowed for a weekend. Don’t tell anyone but in two weeks I’m gonna borrow SP12 ;)
