Thanks Dr Brown, I'd already jumped on the Kickstarter campaign, but was still weighing up whether to stick with it. I trust your opinion (is that a wise thing to admit??!), and your review convinced me to stay on board!
Hello. If I may ask, are spare silicone seals available? It would be good to know as I imagine that those seals might be susceptible to eroding. I believe that some seals are provided with the pen, but it would be reassuring to know whether they are available to purchase when the supplied ones are used up. Great video.
How did I not hear about this pen? This pen is super simple and interesting, and the price is surprisingly low. Whish they had more nib options but I hope that comes later. Speaking about titanium pens from kickstarter, did you ever review or use one from Namisu? Would love to know your thoughts on the brand.
I suspect your initial issue with retraction were just a matter of that silicone seal at the nose "breaking in." It probably just needed to have the nib pushed through it enough to soften it up. I backed the kickstarter, looking forward to receiving mine. I actually came to youtube to look for any videos on the pen to help me choose the nib size on my kickstarter survey (currently offering .3 .4 and .5)
I love your content and the unexpected turns in your presentation style, but isn’t there some way to put more light on yourself and the pens? The window leaves things much too dull.
I saw another reviewer was able to rotate the nib by grabbing it with a tissue to get it in the right orientation without having to disassemble the pen.
Think I'll pass on this one. I just wish someone would copy the vanishing point, but remove the clip from the nose and replace with a nice comfortable grip.
