It's a LOT of work! They are all individually programmable LED lights called "pixels". The sequencing and syncing to music is done in a free program called xLights. The show data and music runs from a small Raspberry Pi computer, with two light controllers (5 for Christmas) that control and power the lights and a small radio transmitter. It's a lot to get to all work together, but it's fun to see the end results!
@@jolapo7865 I get most of my lights from DIYLEDExpress.com. The light controllers are SanDevices E682s and Falcon F16v3s. The Raspberry Pi runs Falcon Player software to control the lights. There's a lot of cables, soldering, planning, and debugging - and I spend 3-4 hours sequencing each minute of music. It was well over 100 hours of time to pull off my first year, but a bit less now. I'd be happy to give you a tour so you can see how everything goes together.
