still get fucking chills when it transitions into Meltdown. I love this band so god damn much. thank you, Rou, for being such a fantastic person to admire. I'll never forget the lessons learned throughout all of your music.
They should, but I feel like a lot of ignorant people will think this is just anarchist and dismiss it because its not what conforms to their understanding of the world. And would also most likely not understand the nuances within the song.
LYRICS: There was a house in a field on the side of a cliff And the waves crashing below were just said to be a myth So they ignore the warnings from the ships in the docks Now the house on the cliff is the wreckage on the rocks (x2) Nothing can fix the building's flawed foundation The scaffolding and stilts were the laws and legislation This house was doomed, but they didn't care They'd invested in the system that was beyond repair When I was little I dressed up as an astronaut, and explored outer-space I dressed up as a superhero, and ran about the place I dressed up as a fireman, and rescued those in need I dressed up as a doctor, and cured every disease It was crystal clear to me back then that the only problems that I could face Would be the same problems that affect us all But of course this sense of common existence was sucked out of me in an instance As if from birth I could walk but I was forced to crawl So this an exciting time, to be alive Our generation's gotta fight, to survive It's in your hands now, this future! Our future, Our future! It's your future Ohhhhhhh MELTDOWN: This is 'gonna change everything (x3) System meltdown, meltdown, meltdown, meltdown Stand up How we gonna get through this alive?, get through this alive It's not too late, it's not too late (x3) Stand up! Countries are just lines, drawn in the sand Inside this sick foundation We've had the realisation Inside this sick foundation We've had the revelation Fuck all borders and fuck all boundaries Fuck all flags and fuck nationalities You've gotta give us a chance before we reach our System meltdown, meltdown, meltdown, meltdown Stand up How we gonna get through this alive?, get through this alive It's not too late, it's not too late (x3) Countries are just lines, drawn in the sand with a stick Inside this sick foundation We've had the realisation Inside this sick foundation We've had the revelation We begin to learn to smile again Start to walk that extra mile again Cos I know that WE ARE ONE! It's not too late, it's not too late Stand up It's not too late, it's not too late Fear begins to vanish when we realise That countries are just lines, drawn in the sand with a stick!
I just had to look up the lyrics because in one part I couldn't tell that they were saying flags. Lol I was suddenly worried about this song that I love
Bro this hit hard in 2012 now it's 2023 and I'm 29 and cant believe just how sick this foundation is. Things are about to collaps. Let it burn and purify the grounds and let us rebuild on them!
@@Joshuar9065 To quote Thomas Paine, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America said, "The world is my country, and to do good my religion."
Enter Shikari make me want to go out and do something to change the world, it's like they aren't just a band they are people trying to tell us how everyone can help and you aren't insignificant
I had no idea who they were until my friend wore one of their shirts. I thought it looked cool, came home, listened to "...Meltdown" and fell in fucking love! They kick major ass!
This song is so much like a Metal Gear Rising boss theme stylistically and lyrically. I love blasting it while fighting Armstrong on the hardest difficulty.
Probably uploaded it because all the fans that wanted the album will have already bought it, so putting it on youtube can help more people come across the album that wouldn't have before and then they may want to buy it themselves. The more people listening to Shikari the better!
Rise Records has every songs of every band it has ever signed on its channel.. Same for Sumerian Records.. And.. well.. Almost all. But still buying this stuff
Banging song! Enter Shikari have improved in 2020 and 2012 I started to listen to them in 2020 so I was like MUM! DAD! BUY ME AN ENTER SHIKARI ALBUM NOW!
They're not getting money from youtube though, they haven't got any ads on the videos. So they're probably just doing this so anyone who hasn't actually got the album can get a lower quality version.
Uploading the album in full? Seems odd, but I suppose they'd prefer get more views on the official channel than have people constantly searching for illegal versions elsewhere on RU-vid.
I come from the future, uploading full albums for free (streaming) has become the most way of consuming music nowadays. Artist get their benefits for their views, concerts and merchandising products. It's not the end of the world, just the consumer habits have changed :)
You have so many advantages being english. Im from Austria and i dont understand the meaning of a single song by pure listening. I wish i was born in england so i can understand every song by the first time i hear them
I think they're just real musicians like 30 seconds to mars and linkin park who uploaded all their stuff too i think :p and I think they just know that every fan will come to their concerts too.
Because they may as well collect money from youtube views on their album rather than people uploading it to their channel instead. Some people are content with youtubes shitty quality.
Devin Marquez Honestly.. I feel like all of their new stuff is kinda meh, then after listening to it a few times I start to like it more than their older stuff.
