What I love about Shikari is that, even though they talk about very serious issues, they aren't up their own asses or trying to be edgy as fuck (unlike many extreme metal bands or horrorcore artists, despite my love for them). They're a band of funny lads. A band of politically aware, funny lads.

As a 55 year old man it gladden's my cynical heart to read the positive comments about this virtuoso band, seen them a couple of times, stood at the back as I'm an old fucker, but they give me hope that musicianship, lyrics,politics can meld together in a beautiful way that STILL makes me want to lose my shit....& I'm not talking TENA underwear

Found them today through Ben McLeish. I don't usually like growl but I love this song. Catchy chorus, charismatic performance and a provoking and meaningful message. I've been missing that combination in new music for years, so I'm really glad to have found some. A big thumbs up from here.

A group of high school kids were going on about a concert and I wasn't that interested and they didn't know who they were but they said something like "a band called Enter Shikari will also be there" I was like I have to go... I was a huge fan of take to the skies. And of course they played Mothership, but they played Solidarity and some songs from their new album(at the time) Common Dreads. They absolutely killed it live. I still have my ticket and the Enter Shikari shirt with the lion, it's way too small for me now but I'll never get rid of it.
