This track does a great job of showing everyone’s instrumental talents to newcomers and as far as I can hear the production is excellent but like every good Shikari single it always leaves you wanting more. Those segments of musicality that last 10 seconds could be an entire song from another artist/band. Good to hear Rory and Chris get back in the vocal booth as well. Can see what you mean about nothing is true but I find that much more listenable than the spark. FYI I’m a huge Shikari fan and they could do no wrong in my eyes! Great review!

Only just came across your channel, due to the release of Enter Shikari's new single. May I first start by saying I love your react and analysis style; very critical and aware, without getting too "scientific" or off-track. Additionally, I hadn't noticed Rory's vocals in the mix until you pointed them out - I've listened to this track about 8 times since release, and half of those times I've just been jamming out in my room to the tune! Secondly, I'd like to sing the praises of Enter Shikari here; this is a phenomenal track to start off their new era. So many elements from all of their previous albums, and a true testament to the progression and constant evolution of Enter Shikari as a band, and each individual member as a musician and creator. This song has literally blown a new breath of life into me in my current world, and it is truly invigorating. I'd also like to touch upon Rou as a vocalist and lyricist; lyrically, this is so well condensed into the theme of candescent and incineration; all the themes of fire and flames, and desolation are so well entwined and honestly I'm torn between the two options of whether Rou has so easily stumbled into another vibrant topic and pumped out a fantastic theme, or whether he has meticulously crafted another verbal torrent of passion after so much time working on this song; neither outcome would be disappointing to me, I love this man to pieces and he is an idol. Additionally, his vocal ability continues to astound and inspire me. He is so truly and purely himself in vocal ability and timbre, however he always seems to add something new each cycle. I don't know whether anyone has pointed this out anywhere yet, but the high-end "set me on fiiiiii-ii-i-iii-ire" in two of the chorus is stupid-impressive. I originally thought he had processed those vocals (and there will naturally be some FX on there), however the way he squeaks out that vocal line is something I have NEVER heard before, and I'm absolutely astounded. I cannot put into enough words how much this release has effected my heart and mind; and I know that's what they've set out to achieve. Rob's drums spread more and more across different rhythms and cultural spans. Rory C continues to inspire me as a guitarist with innovative and daring composure. Chris continues to demonstrate his ability as a sturdy support to a fantastic frontman, in being such a stout and devout backing vocalist and integral part of the orchestration. Jeez, I could write a paragraph on each member but I feel like it'd come across as overdoing it. Oh, and this is all off of the back of ONE SINGLE. I am unabatedly and passionately excited for this new album. Boys, keep being yourselves and attaining excellence; it nourishes a lot of us; we will all still be here, standing like statues. x

Now that 6 months have gone by and the album is out, what are your thoughts on the full thing? I love your analysis of everything, as a musician, producer and music blogger I appreciate how in depth you get with your thoughts. Personally I think its some of their best work yet, I've had it on repeat since it came out. Lastly, and this is a long shot, would you be down to react to my band's new single that drops on August 1st?

Thank you very much for the kind words! I covered my overall thoughts in the review I did of the album. I adored the outpouring of energy and positive vibe on the album. The only song I still can't get into is Dead Wood, but the rest I have listened to countless times. Every Monday I release a reaction or review chosen by viewers or bands that have contacted me. So I'd be happy to do a reaction for your bands upcoming single. Feel free to contact me via Instagram or e-mail with any information you have.
