Hey NL, heres some tips 1. Shops now always have keys 2. Shiny bullet keys and red top disappear, kill them quickly 3. Secret rooms 4. Best look at synergies on wiki, its good to know 5. 2 chests on the floor, one is normally a gun, the other one is normally an item 6. Dont shoot at grim reaper (Thx replies)

This was the first series I watched when I subbed. Might not be as long as most here, but I loved that series and love the vid!

Ryan PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this a long series! Not just 10-15 episodes. There is sooo much content in this game you've never experienced

Get into the habit of flipping EVERY table that's near you in combat, and from there your animal brain will eventually build good habits about using them tactically. > Use the slow-motion gun change menu to select two guns. Then if you tap the gun change button it will swap between those two guns, allowing for quick access! That little star indicates that a gun is one of your two current "favorites". > When are you supposed to use a non-starter weapon? Well, when do you use bombs in Isaac? You use them when you have a surplus, or it makes your life easier, or they will make combat easier and kill difficult enemies quickly. Use whatever gun you need to for each situation. Any crossbow weapon plus any magic weapon gives you the Crescent Crossbow! It's a good way to turn relatively low-tier guns (like the Crossbow and Unicorn Horn, or maybe a Witch Pistol) into a consistent, high-tier gun. > It looks like there was a bug with your Crescent Crossbow that made it use 9 ammo per charge shot after Scattershot was picked up. This is why it was so bad with ammo after that point. > Charge Shot was buffed in Farewell to Arms, and combined with Scattershot actually turns it into a pretty decent room clearing gun. Each bounce makes the weapon deal additional damage, so the missed shots that bounce around and still connect with an enemy will have compensated for the damage downgrade from Scattershot. > There IS a reason to revisit each of the characters' pasts. Be sure to not forget the Bullet That Can Kill Your Past, and wear their alternate costumes! If you have a bad run that you know can't kill the Lich, at least you can do a past for the heck of it and still get something new unlocked! > Glass Cannon's damage is pretty good, but it's mainly good because it bypasses the damage cap on bosses. With Scattershot (meaning that many Glass Cannon shots are missing) and without any damage upgrades, the Stinger or Commando would probably be better boss killers. > Good run!

as a gungeon adept gungeoneer (400h) I am so glad to see this series return! Theres some pretty crazy new content, cant wait to see you explore it. (also theres no reason to not pick up consumables since AG&D)

Nl Dawg Key meta died a long time ago. (praise the lordeh lord.) No worries dude. Key's are basically guaranteed in the first three shops including the secret floors aswell. So pick shit up as you please. Also RNG is tilted more in your favor at the start so don't feel to bad about the odd bits of damage. Gungeon's definitely made changes to kinda make getting back into it easier/ more approachable and got rid of a fair amount of the nonsense. Also they've done a good job on synergies to make some of the trash amazing. You can really ball out of control in the gungeon now and it's absolutely fantastic. Also Red ammo fills the gun your holding up 50% and every other gun you have by 25%

The prophesied day has finally come. Rejoice my brothers!

Glad to finally see you back with Gungeon! Here are some tips for you and anyone else looking to get into gungeon: Every shop is now guaranteed to sell at least one key per floor and you almost always wanna buy one. While there are strong and game breaking passives, most runs are dependant on getting good guns. Don't worry about not picking up any decent passives, the glass cannon and stinger are good enough to kill the Dragun! For when you get more comfortable with the game: If you haven't received a gun on a floor the boss will always drop a gun. This means it is often worthwhile not opening any chests on a floor until after you've killed a boss to ensure you get as many guns as possible. Hope you enjoy your time in the Gungeon! :)

I waited years for this. I bought gungeon when I saw you playing it since it seemed up my alley. I stopped playing shortly after you stopped. After every update I asked when you'd pick it back up, and now I have my answer.

Nice to see this NL. My time with Gungeon was on Switch, I had all pasts besides the robot and bullet (and newest characters) complete. Never beat the Lich or Rat though. May have to revisit with the final update out now.

Gungeon is, and always will be, my favorite series you've ever done

I'm not the biggest Gungeon fan but I'm glad to see it back. Your content basically stalled out for a long while with just Isaac and Slay and NLSS uploads and random stuff. So it's nice to see something back in the wheelhouse even for a little bit.

Just recently bought a switch and as I was browsing for new games I saw the new DLC for this game (first time I’ve seen this game at all), then I check for some gameplay on RU-vid and find Northernlion, someone I used to watch a lot some years ago but I lost interest in Isaac. Thank you for making this series informative for newcomers, decided to buy the game because it looks really fun!

If you didn't get a gun yet, defeating the first floor boss grants you a 100% drop chance of a gun, when opening locked chests on the map (not random spawning ones), one is always a gun and the other is always an item.

You don't have to leave the keys anymore cause they changed the shop key thing, and there's also much more ammo so you can just use the guns you enjoy if you wanna, and usually get enough ammo back! So, I just wanted to mention that. Keep it up, you're doing great!
