I was going to start as Cathay but now I can't get the idea out of my head of saving the world from Chaos as Orges solely because they were hungry and thought Tzeentch would make a good rotisserie chicken.

The best faction with BEST motivation. Non of this dooming or saving the world nonsense. You just go out with yer' buddies for a hefty spicy kebab made of everything you can find. Delightful.

For lore context: The Ogres were originally made to be the Bulwark against Chaos by the Old Ones. They primarily kept to themselves, and sometimes warred with Cathy and the other races on the other side of the World's Edge Mountains - though never to the full extent we see them currently. It wasn't until one of the Cathian emperors pulled a meteorite from the sky and slammed it into the Ogre's ancestral homelands is when the Ogres started to turn. That meteorite unlocked or carried something unworldly, causing the once fertile steppes of the Ogres to become barren and an insatiable hunger to occur. They resorted to destroying a race called the Sky Giants, and even going as far as eating their own children until one profit journeyed out to the creator. Instead of finding a smashed-in hole with a rock at the center, he found a mouth with row upon row of sharp jagged teeth and an unending pit in the center. The Great Maw had arrived.

The thing I love about Ogre's lore is that they exterminated Sky-Titans (intelligent giants) by eating them.

Imagine being a humble shepherd and seeing an army of shreks coming down from the hills and into your village. What a terrifying sight indeed

To think the Ogres were the last race created by the Old Ones meant to be completely resistant to Chaos corruption yet they have unending hunger to consume everything for the power and grub and for the Maw.

Facing an Ogre army lets you even feel pity for the Warriors of Chaos.

This sold me that the Ogres are the best faction for this game, first campaign for sure.

Been waiting on a game like this since I was little. When this comes out I’ll be 25 I remember seeing medieval 2 on the zoo tycoon bundle box and wanting to play that massive battle sim so bad. Now I get a fantasy battle sim on a scale never seen with such diversity and depth. Im in love and can’t wait!

I dont know anything about the lore really, but I really like the look of these as a faction and will definitely be playing as them.

Watching full armored chaos warriors getting tossed around like ragdolls is quite satisfying.

This faction is straight out of my nightmares. Every unit reminds me of my ex wife. I don't know if I can play this game CA.

It's always nice to see a 'non-good guy' faction, handing is to chaos. I say this as a chaos player, we need to realize, we aint the toughest, (or fattest in this case, sorry nurgz) guys out there. We're just good at recruitment. ✴

I knew nothing about the Ogre Kingdoms before these trailers and I already love them. The choice for first campaign pick gets tougher every trailer.

Can't wait to sink a couple thousand hours into this game for sure! Picking ogres first!

Love how they made Chaos Knights look like scrubs

The ogre kingdoms faction is alright when playing on MP. But playing as them you quickly realize you're at a disadvantage both with speed and range. In terms of missile units the gnoblers(fodder) are ok but unless you spam them to really make up the bulk of your unit most of your other units which will mainly comprise of infantry can be picked off by the opponents more superior infantry and range. The faction has huge potential but in my opinion is just so imbalanced. With the whole army of ogre kingdoms mainly just comprised of infantry units and the actual range of any good ogre unit or cav unit(which has speed) will cost 1,000 coins or more. When playing mp you start off with about 10,000 coins so theres only so much you can add to the ogre army to balance speed/range without comprising either. All in all my expierence with the faction 1 being the worst 10 being the best is 5/10. The ogre units could be alot better than what they are and the missile units(essentially the cheap ones like gnoblars) could use a buff in range.

oh god do a mix of Total War: WARHAMMER + mount and blade where you lead armies of beasts and dragons while fighting with them god damn that would be an amazing game .. well at least for me ... total war devs do dat and you shall have my soul

Ogres in the lore: Cursed by the eldritch horror they now worship as a god, ogres are always hungry and they can never be satieted. Their flesh is hard as steel, and they conquer everything like the tyrants they are. Ogres as portrayed by CA: Haha fat guys fartin' and burpin' :DDDD

I was kind of hoping the "Conquer your Daemons" tagline would've changed to "Consume your Daemons" for the Ogres.

Ogers: doesn't have a writing system, but has gunpowder Elves: one of the oldest civilizations, doesn't have gunpowder Lizards: aliens that can traverse galaxies and distort dimensions, can't even use a f*cking bow Makes sense ;)
