I was born and raised in Medellin. I thank you guys for visiting the city I most love in the world and sharing its story. Medellin has actually been recognized as the most innovative city in the world!! There's so much more to this city, and especially Comuna 13 - I encourage everyone to look further into it.

Bro I’m Colombian. Medellin feels so safe. My grandparents live there and a lot of the people you meet there are so so so nice. Not just in Medellin. I was born in Barranquilla which is near Cartagena which also had very nice people

Their entire motto is the basis to so many good ideas and thoughts, it sends positive thoughts to so many people around the world. And I am sure it's changed the lives of many people. im from colombia. Medellin is safer than it was in the early 2000s. Communa 13 is very touristic now. Communa 1 is now the most dangerous part of Medellin, the crime moved to this neighbourhood. Overall medellin is probably safer than bogota now. The real hotspots are in rural areas but the cities are much safer

After watching Narcos,I've fell in love with the landscape and beauty of Colombia Especially their music

So nice to see that when they entered the neighborhood, people were welcoming, respectful, and spoke to them like friends...right away changing their perspective of the neighborhood. Colombia endured a lot of violence and drugs in the past, but it has grown to become so much better than that!

As a COlombian girl who moved into the US I can tell you i miss my people every day, everyone treats you like family (except the dogs lol but most dogs are just loud) and seeing yes theory talk about colombian history, not just about its atrocities, but what comes of it, the kindness the people have nurtured despite the wars... It always gives me hope. Yes theory always has a way of showing he world the good in people, in places where most look to judge simply because media tells them only of the worst. About ten years ago I saw a documentary of how deadly it was to live in slums like the old one, and how hard it was on young girls to develop when all they had as prospects was to be one of many baby mamas, not to mention what little future prospects young men had exept gang life and drugs. So thanks again it was BEAUTIFULL TO SEE YOU GUYS WALK AND CONVERSATE WITH THE HOOD

Omg your videos are so inspiring .. it fills and warms my heart up to know that people are very friendly when you visit these places known to have been hostile. Nowadays its not the case... Thank you so much for showing the world that there are lovely people in once hostile places. The children are so beautiful and are the future and one day will most definitely be their future for peace and harmony.

Thank you for showing Colombia’s beauty, I was born here in the US & grew up here my whole life. I’ve visited my family in Colombia 3x now, ranging from Manizales to Bogota to Palmira to Cali. Most people just don’t understand Colombia is not the violent place it used to be when my mother grew up there. No one believes me when I say Colombian people are one the of the friendliest people I’ve met. My trips to Colombia have humbled me a lot & the fact that Yes Theory went to Colombia, saw the beauty that Colombia has and showed it to the world makes me so happy. Keep spreading love & opening your eyes to the world around you.

Growing up in the US, the only thing I knew about Colombia and Medellin was the cartels. But after meeting and falling in love with a Paisa, I have spent quite a bit of time in Medellin. The region of Antioquia is filled with warm and beautiful souled people. They are friendly and welcoming. But unfortunately, because of Escobar, there is a negative view of them, which is unfair. Thank you guys for being a positive light and seeing the best in people and in places. Most of the time, our negative perceptions of a people or where they live is due to something that isn’t related to them. But we make generalizations without actually taking the time to understand one another and the circumstances from whence they came from. Keep up the great work guys! I’m a new subscriber and love your content.
