I've loved EE for a long time but these last two records are great and I definitely prefer the mix of The Chosen. I'm an audiophile but I'm not an elitist on gear, there are certain bands that do a great job at mixing(subjective) and for me that's what makes repeatability a huge thing on a record. And unless I could play a song put some headphones on your head then swap to a better dac, amp and headphone and play the same track you'd hear all the differences that make a song sound unpleasant. Of course some of these things are subjective but when you go back to cheaper audio equipment those flaws still get pointed out because you know how bad it sounds. Key thing is subjective.
