Yo thanks for this - ERM is one of those things that never shows up in school, or even in media. But for all those who grew up during the economic recession of the mid 2000’s, we all know too well what happens when risk management is thrown to the wind in favour of increasingly dangerous gambles. Traditionally, the business world never really looked beyond the scope of their shareholders because they simply weren’t obligated to do so. But with the ever growing reach of corporations in daily life, it becomes increasingly important for ERM to be a fundamental skill (not a “project” as this video teaches) for corporations to uphold. Do that well, and you don’t just protect your employees, customers, and shareholders - You also protect the people indirectly affected by the movements and results of your corporation; you might even be protecting the environment if you think about it.
