It's OK to look lighter! It's winter. I don't think non medium brown people understand how much our skin changes color. We get darker and lighter constantly.
I agree I mainly just said that cause I really don’t promote skin lighting and I don’t want the brown girlies to think I got this procedure to look lighter 😭
ohhh yeahhhhh sameee. like I'm brown but more on the airer side and goshhhhhhh it changes real fast. one night I look super fair and the next day I'm black!(compared to the night soo)
Once a guy asked me why do you edit some of your pictures but not all, I was like I change skin shade depending upon the season I don’t edit to make me darker or lighter 😂😂😂
I know! I’m half Indian, so in the summer I tan a bunch to the medium shades in makeup, and then in the winter I lighten to what usually ends up being the lightest shade in makeup.
For some reason in the aftershot, your eyes really popped. They are stunning. You're black lashes looked so contrasted against your clear skin, without distraction of hyperpigmentation.. I don't know but *YOUR EYES JUST LOOK STUNNING.* So pretty. 🥰
Wow your skin is looking so much better. I might keep these treatments in mind for big events like my birthday or my friends wedding not for acne or hyperpigmentation but just anti-aging and that super glow.
Highly recommend trying big treatments like this way ahead of time, you might have a reaction you don’t expect and that would SUCK right before a big event!
As a fellow ex acne-scars-PIH-PIE sufferer, I' m vicariously enjoying the process. So deeply happy to see how, after so many years of skincare and good habits, these ATO procedures are giving you the skin you deserve. 🧛🏻♀️🖤 #insciencewetrust
Wow that’s amazing I love how glowy and bright the treatment made your skin, I have a lot of redness and hyperpigmentation so I might do this treatment too
Hey girl !! Which peel is this ? Please mention the name on top next time, the captions get hidden under the title. Also thanks so much for finding best products and treatments for our brown girl family!!! Love you
I love VI peels! I’ve gotten them the past few years and they really improved my skin texture and evenness. I also love that they force you to chill tf out for 5 days lol
Wow thanks for sharing that before/after. It’s awesome to see how these procedures turn out. That definitely worked out great for your skin/face! You are beautiful without the peels but its great that you are able to do these things AND bring us along for the journey! I for one live vicariously through you!! ❤your videos & honesty beauty queen!
I use Japanese enzyme soap from Amazon. It’s wonderful for hyperpigmentation. I use it on my whole body including face. And I am now not 50 shades of brown anymore.
I might honestly need one of these, because a few months ago when we got to the beach, I ended up more of a tan skin even though I'm pale skin.. and its still not going away :( Anyways, can I just say you look gorgeous!
my friends shedding lasted more than 7 days, i would never try this, i don’t have the patience for when the shedding process. hope it actually helps your issues, but it’s not for everyone
@@farznish I get The Perfect Derma Peel w/ hydroquinone (for hyperpigmentation) and it cost $365 not including tip. I live in San Francisco. I think different markets charge different amounts. It stings a little bit going on, but once it dries it fine. The peeling process can be uncomfortable for some. It’s kind of like Brazilian waxing…some people are fine, and others act like they are about to die.
Ur videos are really helpful because I’m also brown! Also, I’m sure ur skin will look amazing at the end of the treatment! Also, thank you for displaying my comment! U r my fav content creator and it means a lot!!
I'm sorry if this sounds dumb I've never had a chemical peel before but does it take off your freckles or your beauty marks? I'm a darker skin tone with very light olive complexions in my face and I have a decent amount of freckles on my face and I have a few beauty marks and I didn't know if I ever got a chemical peel to help even certain things out if it would take off my freckles or anything because I don't want to lose them❤ My mom is Irish,Welsh, and Native American and my dad was Spanish with 1/3 Native American so im brown but with a lighterish face? Lol
So I did some research and found out that chemical peels can help lighten freckles, but they typically don't fully remove them. As for beauty marks (also known as moles), chemical peels are not effective and shouldn't be used for that purpose. If you want to keep your freckles and beauty marks but lighten scars, you can still opt for a chemical peel. Lighter peels, like glycolic or salicylic acid peels, primarily target surface issues like acne scars while being less likely to affect freckles or beauty marks. It’s best to consult a dermatologist to make sure the peel is tailored to your needs, focusing on the acne scars without impacting the features you want to keep.
People don't realise alot of us when we go for skin brightening we are actually trying to get our skin to go back to its original tone. Over time brown skin can hyperpigment especially if not taken care of properly. I know colourism exists and I am not tone deaf to that as there are people out there that do certain prcedures to look whiter. But many of us don't do it for that reason, we just don't want hyperpigmentation. Which you can get a lot easily with tanned skin. I got this peel done too due to darkness on my upperlip and forehead. It has worked wonders and I am so pleased with the results.
I actually say chemical peel is a good option compared to micro needling which might not be safe , i just saw a video where a woman redeveloped her acne
I was recommended to get this procedure but the whole idea freaked out but after seeing yours, I just might :)) thanks! What aftercare did they prescribe and how long does it take for the new skin to look like the old one, if that can happen at all? Is your skin more sensitive to light after?
I had a light chemical burn accident all over my arms months ago. The healing process was painful, miserable, and itchy, but my arms are hella soft and clear now 💀
Hey Monica I have been watching your videos for a long time now and absolutely love every single one of them. Could you please share a brown girl friendly makeup look with Indian products that are affordable?
Great results. I don’t get the comments about skin lightening etc. Asains prefer being lighter and white want a tan. Both are fine. This needs to just be accepted now. All are beautiful it’s actually more about ur facial features than colour. But hey let’s do what the f we want and not feel the need to explain ourselves all the time.
This is really good info!! I missed my shedding these last two months I didn’t know I could go and get it done manually🤍 hopefully this gets my cycle back on track!
looks amazing. see im Romanian and in the winter im so light and in the summer my skin is almost like my husbands. its crazy . with people know how brown skin worked
Ooh interesting, why are some peels unsafe for brown skin? Is it potential discoloration/bleaching? Or are there other reasons? I did not know that was a thing!
Definitely on the light side for phenol peel, some of the pics I’ve seen online of old white women with half an inch thick skin peeling off are pretty scary… I say white because doctor can use a very strong chemical on white skin btw
Man I’m probs gonna learn this as a beautician, but what do you do for the shedding days? On instinct I’d be putting on moisturiser like it’s my only source of water
