Great job. At first, I was like, "There's no green space left", but that diamond cut pattern really turned it from a concrete jungle to a beautiful blank canvas. I can imagine the home owner putting out some potted plants and flowers and some nice patio furniture or outdoor kitchen and it would be a place I would definitely love to spend some time in. Wish you guys were up here in Canada. I have a huge job that needs doing.
Beautiful design you guys cut in. After learning from you why concrete needs those cuts, I’m always looking for them and laughing to myself when they weren’t done and the whole slab is cracked everywhere!
Yow Mr Odell when you have time can you do a video showing us how you draw out on paper how you that diamond grid layout in detail it would be dope thanks 👍🏽
Petite observation Du beau travail ! Quasiment toutes les vidéos sur coulage du béton Les aciers ne sont jamais levés pour l’enrobage du béton.! Autrement belle finition
Why not to make tiny rubber stamp on the remote corner of the concrete slab? (You can offer discount if stamp is visible, near the sidewalk!) One inch tall letters saying "Odell Complete Concrete" and your website name with the phone number will potentially bring you client back for maintenance care or other jobs. Phone numbers are lost sometimes... Also, on the backyard beer party if someone will ask for the concrete serviceman, the owner will point on the stamp (rather than searching papers or taking phone...). I think this is great idea to consider.
Excellent job, I wish every contractor had the knowledge and integrity you have sir. Just curious, how much would a job like this cost to the home owner?
Oh Man David!!! So cool to see! This is exactly the type of project I need done! 1,000sq', wall to wall, diamond cut, and drains! Only in SCV:) This was such a pleasure to watch and 17 yards! Thank you so much!!! Were you able to leave town for a break in October?
11:20 why does the home owner have to water it for 2 weeks? Another nice looking job!?! Really wish someone could come to GA, and install concrete on my 16 x 10 patio...
is drainage necessary because it's done wall to wall? I have an existing color stamp 1 step up patio and I want to do the rest of the yard in concrete extending the patio wall to wall.
Hi! cool video! Just wondering, why do you saw cut the concrete, couldn't you just wet join the concrete (like where you get the tool and make a joint on the day of the pour)?
Oh okay, just wandering because I have been to job sites where they build track homes, and the workers pour about 10-15 driveways in 1 day, and when they poured them they just used a wet joints to prevent cracking. I was surprised how fast they could pour the driveways. Thanks!
Hi Dave. I recently did a 2 part pour with 2 separate colors. I used plastic to cover the outside boarder. That was the hardest part of the job getting everything to flush out and finishing the edge. Have you used any other methods to protect the slab beside plastic?
enjoy your videos here in Maryland - question? when you powerwahsed the concrete, do you also run extra water in the drain to flush out concrete dust from cutting so it won't harden?
Love your channel and you guys do awesome work!! Just one question though about the rebar.. When dobies(sp?) aren't used and you guys pull the rebar up by hand, how does it stay up cause the guys who are levelling are walking all over the rebar after?
