Scream Factory/Shout Factory was one of my Favorite Labels. i still like, but lost quite a bit of interest since they seem to just be a label putting out previous releases on 4K now.
Very Nice collection, Todd! There was a time many years ago when I wanted to collect every CE that SF released, but I came to realize that it would be just too expensive and too many films I didn't like. I'll need to watch this video in stages, but I like what I see so far! On a sadder note, I was sad to see that your namesake Tony Sirico AKA Paulie Walnuts passed today. A legend forever.
I agree, Scream Factory has some hits and a lot of misses. It’s best to pick and choose and spread your money around to other companies and get what you really want. So many companies with great releases, and only so much money to go around. It is sad about Paulie Walnuts. I know his health has been bad the past several years. He had dementia or something similar to it, and he was having a hard time talking or recognizing people. He lived a long life and had a helluva career. Paulie Walnuts was such a great character. Thanks for watching Mike.
Awesome Scream Factory Collection you have Todd, Fantastic Titles, I really did enjoy the video my friend, I plan on doing a scream factory overview real soon, Awesome Video my friend
Nice video Todd. I've got some great news for you. Shout Factory few days ago has announced that they will release on 4K John Carpenter's The Fog and Army of Darkness and on Blu-ray Ralph Bakshi's Cool World starring Brad Pitt and Kim Basinger.
It's funny, but initially, I didn't think I had that many Scream Factory/Shout Factory titles and yet I recognized the releases and covers immediately, so I have quite a lot of those titles as it turns out; many of which still have to be watched and enjoyed. The difference with my collection is I have Scream Factory titles mixed with my other horror and sci-fi movies in alphabetical order on several IKEA Billy bookshelves, but I think it's better to see them all beautifully organized and displayed together as a unique Scream Factory/Shout factory section the way you organized them, so well done, Todd. :)
Hi Todd, Nice Scream Factory collection as usual. I did recently purchase The She-Creature and The Flesh Eaters from them so l'll do an unboxing video on my channel. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome collection!!!!! Unfortunately the only suggestions I have for your collection are out of print now like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Manhunter and Invasion USA.
Nice collection!!!! A video comparing movies that are on different labels would be nice!!! To see which is the best option!!!! And the different special features!!!!!
What an amazing collection. I'm curious though. Did scream factory ACTAULLY make any/all of these or did they just buy up catalogues or titles and reissue them?
Hello, and thank you for the compliment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. That is a great question! These companies such as Scream Factory, Arrow Video, Anchor Bay etc are distribution companies and don’t make the movies but rather release they them. Sometimes they are involved in restoring films or giving it an upgrade to the quality, and maybe adding bonus content in the special features department, but do not actually make the movies. I’m hope this answered the question. Thank you very much for watching.
In my country, sleepway camp that the first part is very hard to find, and that VHS is only released, in america it's available on blu ray but not in my country and also VHS is hard to find especially nowadays
A couple slasher films you might be interested in that I didn't see on your shelf would be American Gothic and Final Exam. I overlooked these two myself and ordered them yesterday.
Nice collection... I recently sold off my dvd collection and was glad of all the space... But after this vid I'm thinking about starting over with Blu-ray...
My Favorite Scream factory titles that I own are Black Christmas 4K, Halloween 1978 4K, Exorcist 3 4K, and The Strangers Blu-ray. Oh & the Return of the Living Dead 4K
