These setups were very popular last year during the pandemic for TV productions especially “Reality” TV shows. There was also a company selling a similar setup like this for crazy amount of money. Cool seeing how you put it together and also being budget friendly.

I don't know, but I often do a video without research and find out later someone else already did a video on it. Everything is a remix? 🤔 I try toggle everyone the benefit of the doubt!

I RU-vid from an RV. I've been following your builds for a while, trying to figure out a way to make an outdoor version work. This is the way. Thank you so much.
Unlike the studio on a lightstand this build is way to complicated for whom it might be the right thing. Simple joby gorilla pod and rode video mic pro plus attached to the camera would have been enough. Yes storage is nice, but a backpack is more practical than the pelican case which I would never check in as luggage with expansive camera gear inside. While it might be water proof, you don’t want to know how checked in luggage is treated.. sorry Caleb, but this build gets a thumbs down 👎 from me. It’s the first time I do it on your channel. Love all the other content, but this one is rather for the clicks then for real world scenario. At least that’s my point of view
I just came back from a conference and realized I need an all-in-one solution like this for my next event! Any advice to mount two or three cameras to this setup? I'd like to get one view of the guest(s), one on me, and then one on both of us. Open to using pro cameras or something as simple as my iPhone(s).
Or you could just plug the ride wireless go into you phone and call it a day. The footage of this setup isn’t much better than a smartphone for the size. Better luck next time
That's really good, nice work. I have all the parts to make one, unfortunately my videos require over the head shot, for backpacks demonstration. And for that I need a C-stand or a tall tripod.
Thanks for sharing. I would add two small tripods (gorilla pods) or additional arms for GoPro’s so I could have a three camera set up. So I would add two additional monitors as well and a larger power strip.
This setup, plus an easy way to remotely monitor the camera (like some kind of cheap laptop and a way for the camera to plug in), would be game changing for remote COVID-safe interview shoots. There's really only so much you can do with Zoom but it can be a little complicated to ship or deliver a case like this and expect someone with no experience to set it up and make it look good. Being able to talk to someone through the camera would also be amazing. What if you built your teleprompter/camera monitor into a case?
Love these setups, man! After a long time of staying indoors this past year, been trying to come up with more ways to make a mobile studio. Really creative setup as always!
I have the Sony ZV1 as a Webcam/Streaming Camera in my Desktop Setup. The Picture quality is great, however it is very difficult to activate Streaming Mode when you are in that "Selfie-Position" in Front of the Camera. Dont you have similar Problems with the Canon Camera in this Pelican-Case Setup?

Great build! I would consider placing an ATEM Mini Pro ISO in the bottom as well. Then if you're traveling with a laptop, secondardy camera(s), etc, you could also modulate the setup to be a multicam somewhat easily. The harder part would probably be the monitor at that point, as there would be multiple views to switch between.
Nice setup ... I use the same Pelicase for other setups. Undestructable - even after many years. Next "case-idea": Charging-setup. I use that for some time now with all my chargers in one place. Simply plug-in charge whatever needs energy. Great video!

I have absolutely no idea what I’d use it for, and I can’t afford it. But it would be super fun to build one anyway! I’d say it even has some bonus “secret agent points” á la Bond 🤓
