OP1 needs to get away from the manchild and get full custody because MIL's behaiovur is a threat to daughter's safety and manchild will not act to prevent it at all and, worse comes to worse, make excuses and try to shift blame. OP2 is already having an affair, hiding behind semantics, and needs to choose between wife and AP. OP3 got away lightly. That argument in the AirBnB was terrifying and could easily have turned into an assault or worse. This is a 'shake the dust off your feet' moment for her.
Based solely on the fact that he locked a sick baby in a car, assuming his wife didn't have keys, she'll not only get custody but could get him sent to jail for child endangerment.
Story1: I totally agree. The fact that Jack is siding with his mom and not taking any responsibility is deeply concerning. It’s clear that Annie’s safety is at risk with them involved. If Jack can't prioritize his daughter’s well being and act like a responsible adult, then seeking full custody and getting away from this toxic situation might be the best move.
Story 1: I really can't wrap my head around why OP didn't immediately call the cops when hubby "locked" their baby in the car. Hell, I would've called the cops from the doctor's office on MIL.
I was so mad and horrified when I read that OP's mummy's boy husband held their 1 year old girl hostage unless OP apologies for something that the husband's mum started off in the first place
Story 1: As soon as he locked that door and went inside, I'd be on the phone to emergency services to get that AH manchild arrested and divorced him while he's in court/jail. Story 3: What a manbaby. Regardless of what he has going on, he's an adult and, as such, is responsible for himself. And of course, as revealed in the update, in his mind it's never his fault.
Story1: Calling emergency services and getting him arrested would definitely send a strong message. It’s shocking how far he’s willing to go to protect his mom over his own child.
This would have been a good course of action as there would be a record of him and his family endangering the child that OP could have used for full custody during the divorce and custody. It’s going to be sad if this becomes he said she said!
Um, chickenpoxs can absolutely kill someone. Also why the fuck did you not call the cops immediately for child endangerment? Never stay with a cheater for the family. Once again, the wife cheats, and it's oh she learned her lesson. You have to forgive her. The man has an emotional affair, everyone on here. He's a cheater his innocent wife should leave him.
@@pezchef7577 the legality of what she did is murky in the US, most of what I can find is people selling contaminated lollipops and that being banned.
@@pezchef7577 What Trish did is not Legal. Intentionally infecting someone is actually a crime. Trish could be charged, and Hubby could be charged for locking his child in the car as a way to force his wife to apologize. While I'm sure the law is a bit nebulous, Trish actively collected a blanket from someone with the virus and asked them to basically make sure it was infected.
Story 2: It's already over. OP keeps using "loved" as in he doesn't love his wife anymore and was already having an emotional affair with this woman. Just get a divorce at this point.
Story1: Wow, locking your own child in the car to force an apology? That’s not just crossing the line, it’s bulldozing through it. It’s clear who’s truly out of touch here. I hope Annie heals quickly and that you get the support and respect you deserve.
I still have scars on my face from the chickenpox and I’m in my 40s. I hope that poor little girl won’t have them not that it’s a super big deal but it was definitely unnecessary.
Story 1: yeaaaah if she divorced him The court will be glaring DAGGERS at him for locking an baby in the car And I’m scared to imagine if there’s a heatwave when this happens because that’ll piss everyone off even more because nobody would take his side for that Best case scenario jail time for pulling that stunt on their own kid
And no one would be looking favorably on Mother-In-Law. She could face legal troubles for what she did. I Googled it, and you can charge someone with intentionally infecting someone. Monster Dearest is very easy to pin down as she actively contaminated the Blanket.
And that’s how you lose custody of ya kid with no visitation rights right here terrible father and grand mother/miL. Now this is the correct time to say this isn’t a real man this is an easy divorce circumstance take him for everything usually I’m against that but this is an exception dude deserves every negative thing in the world S2: dude for the love of Christ just divorce her🤦🏾
2nd story, why would he not just sleep at her place? When ever I travel with my friends we always bunk up together so we can just wake up and start driving; it also gives all of us a chance to make sure we have our stuff we need to travel packed.
story1) you needs to get away from the manchild and get full custody because MIL's behaiovur is a threat to daughter's safety, first with the smallpox, and then with the locking his child (who is sick with the chicken pox) in a car, with no one looking after it and inteded to leave them for possibly hours NTA story2) this is already having an affair, hiding behind semantics, and needs to choose between wife and AP, OP is not in the wrong though, he didnt check and felt guilty and had self control when they didnt want to have sex, unlike the wife NTA story3) He is crazy please dont stay with him, he has a bad influence
Yea, heard this the other day and rolled my eyes when she said he was going to boot camp. Dude can’t even figure out how to put a tag on a suitcase and he’s going to go to boot camp? Boy, he’s in for a rough one. I would be surprised too if he actually makes it to the end. 🤦🏼♀️
Story 2: You need to get a divorce. You have been having an ongoing affair for a year. OP hasn't forgiven his wife, so why keep holding on to a relationship that you don't want anymore.
OP in story 2 is finding out why he should’ve probably just left his wife to begin with. “Once a cheater, always a cheater” until “she’s done things to work on herself. She’s all good now.” Adultery kills marriages and bonds, and this is a great example of that. Again, don’t cheat.
An apology with changed behavior is actual remorse. She did take accountability for her actions. Don't agree to stay and work on things if you're not going to actually work on it yourself.
Specifically, shingles is what happens when you heal from chickenpox, after which the virus goes dormant in your nerve cells and can become active again years later, which is when shingles happens. According to Wikipedia, “ Risk factors for reactivation of the dormant virus include old age, poor immune function, and having contracted chickenpox before 18 months of age.” so depending on how old OPs daughter is specifically she might have increased the risk of her granddaughter contracting shingles later in life.
Dude chicken pox itself may not kill, but infections and fevers sure as fuck will. And on a baby. Damn. Also shingles is definitely caused by chicken pox so mil also infected herself
Story 2: It's funny how these cheating expert's are categorising HALL PASS as if its a candy.... Like its should be one night stand or without any emotional connection..... It shouldn't even be a thing... Cheaters doesn't gets to be choosers... If OP doesn't care much abt if his cheater wife stays or leaves.. thn make is full Month.... And if he still cares then make it one night stand.... Or if he still luvs his wife thn dont do it coz he be hurting her the same way like his cheater wife did
@Frightmarelordofthenightmares Back when i was young parents would have chicken pox parties. To "get it over with" No one would want to be infected. But if you look into medical kinks there are people who are really into catching mild diseases
Story 1 just pi$$ed me off. The husband tried to hold the daughteer hostage to force Op to apologize to the villainess. He's a pathetic mommys boy. And the one rule of an apology is NEVER MAKE THE VICTIM APOLOGIZE TO THE VILLAIN/VILLAINESS!!!!
Story1- WHO TF THINKS GIVING A CHILD CHICKENPOX ON PURPOSE IS OKAY??????? OP needs to get away from this family asap...they are absolutely horrible. Ngl tho...it's hilarious she got shingles lol
I had chickenpox as a baby and guess what happened I got shingles as a child because of it three times, did you know shingles can cause life long muscle spasms, sometimes it looks like there is a worm wriggling under my skin, I can't see the painful muscle spasms on my back but more than once they were bad enough that I fell down from the pain.
Story 1: The second I read 'MIL got shingles...' GUESS how you end up getting shingles, crazy woman! And you have now put your granddaughter at risk of getting shingles her entire life! Having some regrets now that you're experiencing the actual long-term consequences of chickenpox for yourself? Edit: In regards to the comment about the vaccine preventing shingles, we actually don't know that for sure yet. I'm 27, and when I got the shot, that was literally like the second year of babies getting the vaccine. Since people don't usually get shingles until their 50s-60s, we won't be 100% sure that the live vaccine doesn't cause shingles until the people who are now about 28 get to that age. But that's only a possibility, compared with the certainty that getting chickenpox definitely can cause shingles.
Story 2) The wife had a long-term emotional affair that included sex multiple times. Unfortunately, the correct course would be to get a prenup separate for 2 months and then try to work on the relationship with the wife being open to friends and family as to why. Unfortunately, cheaters are cowards. The hall pass was used to prove the wife didn't really see the affair or any affair as a big deal. OP has the right to change his mind about continuing with his wife as long as it remains non sexual and it's comes to a conclusion sooner rather than later. OP should not be shamed for falling in love while in a loveless marriage. The wife preposed a no-win solution that made the relationship seem hollow. OP should file. But he probably will feel too ashamed to risk "hurting his kids"
The number 2 op needs to just move on, the marriage is so fucking dead its not even funny, he's moved on emotionally but he's still there onl physically
