I main the lmg. It's so good. You can use at range coz it has pretty much no recoil and if you miss ranged shot 100 bullets lets you spray and pray and also it's amazing for holding down trenches as you can just keep shooting a a choke point forever Snipers are cancer,
I’ve learnt this from 17 hours of playing Sniper. Snipers can literally turn a small failed trench into a 5 star hotel with pool and bar, and it’s way more fun when you get a bunch of snipers from both teams helping each other achieve the ultimate trench. (Trust me, when you have two friendly opposing snipers that are building trenches together it’s fun as hell.)
I once dug out a whole abyss in the middle of the map for the entire round. Assuming one roblox block is a meter, it was probably 30 meters deep and 10 meters wide circle. I was with 2 other people.
Something I do to counter the glint that appears when you use the sniper is use iron sight. Basically rifleman. Not only I don't have the glint, I have a grenade to throw if I am too close to the enemy for some odd reason that happens all the time and 100 health instead of the 75 that increase my survivability.
I feel like flamer is more of a "scare the shit out of everyone" class, rather than a class that does damage. I still have PTSD from a massive tunnel strat my team did. 10 people running around screaming while a flamer blocks the entrance/exit, setting everything on fire. In the complete dark with barely any room. 😭😭😭😭😭
It’s more of a… discourage charges class. You don’t wanna run in after being set on fire you see. The way I play him is just hide in a foxhole (and die because there are none), peek out to flame a guy for 0.2 seconds, hide and laugh because afterburn stack.
7/10. the classes are good but should be limited because players keep spamming the same class like assault or sniper which just wins every round. No teamwork if they spam, the other side cooperate while the spam side just rushes and always win. the sniper is just spammy in open maps which ruins the game. but still good game
asssault has no shovel vs rifle who does, which makes you win any game if your opponent does not use it. so it is balanced. and you need non snipers to actually go to the objective with close combat...
@@BC-lz4sv there is just so many snipers in open maps ( but thank goodness their bad, for now ). Assault should be limited to 4 or 5 people and machine gunners to 2, what bugs me about assault is mp18 on 1914-17. same thing that bugged me about verdun game to this day but still love it.
its always stressful to be in the Axis team i mean yeah they have drip uniforms and their badass but it's just that I'm always in the axis team being the officer you kinda wanna be a medic or a recon but you can't bc you have to stress to win you gotta make trenches and spawn artilleries for your teamates

You got the History section a little muddled. Franz Ferdinand was due to inherit Austria-Hungary, he wasn’t already leading it at the time of his assassination. There was a failed assassination attempt on him where several assassins attempted to murder him after his route was publicised in the papers. Not wise. He just about survived, and instead several of his officers were severely injured in the failed attempt. When he went to visit the injured officers, his driver (of his open-topped car) famously took a wrong turn, where on a dingy street, stood one of the failed assassins, armed. Let’s just say Franz Ferdinand’s jokes were so good, they blew his head right off.
i once played this game, i somehow got into a server where France had alot of teamwork and just do banzai charge which they had better trench tactics which i appeared to like including when they all throw themselves whenever attack and grouped up
fun fact: french skirmisher is actually their sniper. the french sniper class is mained by TRASH. do not waste bullets on them either. i'm sure they'll find their way into their own team's grenade. they always do...
If you get good at officer it’s pretty god damn fun, specially when you are or your team has an officer that knows what they’re doing. If you wanna gibe a good officer you first gotta literally lead by example and you need to keep repeating commands until people listen. If you’re up against a team with a good officer and they follow the officer, that game will be over in minutes from how effective organized fights can be. Officer class is honestly 10/10, rifleman is overall good in any situation and the guns from different teams are somewhat similar 8/10, support is fun af and overall good but you don’t have good melee or the ability to build like any class with shovel 10/10, Haven’t played medic much but I’d give it like 6/10, Squirmisher is pretty nice and good in the right hands 9/10 also pretty good gun for mid range and very good melee as it’s fast 9/10, flamer is fun for trolling and memes but not that good apart of that although you can single-handedly kill a whole fortification or trench if you’re lucky 5/10, engineer is not good at fighting but can build stuff so pretty cool and very necessary for a good defense 7/10, and finally sniper just 10/10 straight up
Officers are actually pretty weak. Even if you place artillery shots well while getting all 10 shells it is incredably rare to get more then 4 kills(I have played officer a lot and I have only gotten more then 4 kills once). And your pistol isn’t that good and Sabre is not much better than other melee weapons. So more like 5/10. Recon is good in long range and is only effective class in very long range but it is trash in close and mid range because of scope zooming you in too much as well no grenade or bayonet and less health. So 7/10 but rifle is better. Engineer is not neccery because their builds are inferior to trenches so 6/10. You didn’t mention assault despite it being one of the most popular classes. Assault is 9/10 due to it having good dps. Support is worse because it is slow and has inferior dps as well as no grenade, a spade and more health as well as more ammo is good but it is worse offensively then assault.
In conquest mode one tume we got to the bunker(the last objective/capture point) but we couldn't capture it we only captured 5 which is pretty hard to do.
In conquest on map einse or something like that. Attackers which are french here use assault and scream blitzkrieg you will gain time instead of losing it
I enjoy the game quite a bit but I feel like the medic class is a bit op, I mean the gun they use only takes two shots to kill and it is semi automatic
To be honest I really feel like sniper is just rifleman without grenades, the accuracy doesn't seem different for me. or maybe that's just because I play third person mode 90% of the time
Only issiue is the lack of achual trenches the game feels like in fighting in the franko - Prussian war not ww1. Of course they didint have smg's or mushinguns back them but still it feels like it SO much especially with the lack of trenches and the fact nearly everyone uses rifles and sniper rifles it seems or officer.
My favorite map is Verdun. It feels so satisfactory when you, being in the german team, finally achieve to breach into the fort. The first time it happened to me I felt so good, mostly because the music that plays when you're capturing a spot made me feel like in a movie. It was so epic. I would give to the game 9/10, but instead I give it 7/10, because the collisions of some walls aren't very precise, and teams can spam support class, wich is annoying sometime.
I wish this game did not have automatics everywhere then it would've been way more accurate. The fact you can use an mp 18 on a 1914 map reaply bugs me out.
It's accurate to a degree For example the Weapons are highly inaccurate, timeframe wise. The MP 18, and Ribyrolles SMG were either never adopted, or adopted in 1918.
I've learned that the flamer is the best for clearing trenches because everyone freaks out sometimes and You can damage more people easier than with any other class, I've solo cleared 5 total trenches (and survived) with the flamer and cleared 11 others posthumously.
Flamer also is a major distraction because nobody wants to get flamed to death. This lets your teammates move up or pick them off if they accidentally expose themselves
my only problem with the game is thick people who cant co-operate with the rest of the team, like when there digging a trench at spawn when everyone else is charging as it turns to the attack phase.

actually he was not the leader but he was the heir to the throne so in other words he was going to be future king ( when you said they were understandably i was hoping you'd do a oversimplified refrence.
The attack and defend timer should have more time added because this makes the concept of the spade useless and trenches, for a game about digging trenches and fighting within them this timer makes it obsolete as if your team isn’t able to capture a point you have to run back to your objective making the trenches made there useless until the timer switches, and this mechanic is supposed to be used over a 30 minute game. In most of games I play in either battle of the Marne or battle of champagne it’s either a stalemate, enemy wins, or we win and either of the teams winning is very rare, so in my opinion when they release beta or full release I hope that the timer has more time
tbh this game is amazing if they added unit caps, 50% of the team i play with is snipers, and just makes the game turn into sniper vs sniper and the occasional assault guy rushing the snipers to try to kill the snipers to prevent their teams snipers from being sniped themselves, and so they can have a advantage at sniping the snipers i previously mentioned
They should disable some classes on certain maps and teams, like engineers when on the offensive in conquest gamemodes. They're a liability half the time and legit make the game less fun.
snipers should juust be removed from the game i swear. There annyoing to your team, and the enemy. They dont help in pushes and just sit behind there fucking shitty tree in the corner of the map

Also. They make this line *Extra Damage no longer cut off* Meaning that if you get a headshot as a rifleman. It will deal 113 Damage. You see how this is not fair? Everytime I play Verdun on this game when im on the french team, I basically become skirmisher when they take 2nd or 3rd zone because it is a desperate situation. The reason why I choose skirmisher class is because you can overrun your enemies and melee them from the back.
i remember playing this game using sniper and made a 5 star hotel that seems more like a maze because of all the hiding areas which was good for defending against enemies

2:25 i have actually seen a match where the 1 single officer grouped every one and they one the match while i was running since they captured a point every 10 second.
Nobody gonna talk how the smoke grenades are actually useful for moving and cover and arent like those smoke grenades where you can just easily see through them?
Personally I think it’s a cool game, but it doesn’t feel like a WWI game, it feels more like a modern shooter that they tossed into the deep fryer full of early 1900s

I doubt anyone's seeing this now that this video is over two years old at the post of this comment, but looking back on the earlier days of this game makes me appreciate it even more. I've played it every once in a while all the way back to these early days, and by now I've got 32 hours on the game. A lot of the mechanics are the same, but the map development and expansion is really great.
Rifle man is my favourite since it has a bayonet on it and it has no flint coming off it (same applies to skirmisher and medic but no bayonet). The bayonet is more of a quick stab while the shovel is used when you do not have the bayonet rifle or in a emergency.
The guns sadly have not been balanced since I was playing this game for a week straight. The rifles have the same damage on both teams but the automatic guns are still inferior on the german side, since the french support has the damage of a rifle and occasionaly can kill someone on two hits and french assault has double the damage of a german assault.
