When I was a kid me and my lil buddies use to ride our bikes over to Chips apartment on longwood and get records and autographs all the time. Chip always answered his buzzer and always had something to hand us. Dude was an awesome cat. Was good friends with my late aunt Dawn RIP. Thanks for the childhood memories chip I still cherish them moments. Yours truly Blue Island bros for life...
I recently had the privilage to open up for Chip and the boys. I got to chat with him a bit and I told him how we stopped by his place in the early 90's and he let us kids in his place and gave us some swag. He told me a story about John Lennon inviting a homeless vet into his house and feeding him. Always be kind and humble. Chip is a very kind and generous soul.
I'm happy Chip is still flying the flag, but this song isn't the same without Donnie's unique voice and Frigo's pinched harmonics and tremolo bar acrobatics.
IDK why all of the slag in this thread. EZN were unparalleled in the late 80s for sure but, and I'm speaking RIGHT NOW in 2023, folks, Chip Z'nuff sounds exactly the same as he does in this performance, which is spot on. I mean, the guy has perfect pitch. Something even Donnie never had. And to be bringing a sound that replicates the original WAY closer than most 'nostalgia' acts. Truth be told, I was never really aware of this band during the waning years of hair/glam metal. I recently discovered them on RU-vid! I do remember 'New Thing' vaguely from back in the day. I thought it was a Cheap Trick tune! LoL No disrespect to Zander and crew but, in retrospect, EZN easily had as much if not more talent, just not the breaks.
saw this lineup here in Georgia at the 120 Tavern and they blew me away. Derek Frigo is dead, he's not coming back. Donnie Vie doesn't want to do it, and this lineup is solid and fun to watch. Great guys as well, got to hang a minute with a few of them and they were humble and out to make rock and roll.
HI Chuck I agree with you. I thought Frigo was FN amazing. When I think Enuff Z Nuff I think those 4 however I can't blame Chip for trying to make a living out of it. Unfortunately demons took Derek and Donnie has been inconsistent up and down. I think you need to go to the show knowing you aren't seeing the real Enuff Z Nuff and enjoy it for what it's worth. Take it easy
Chuck Novy not many bigger Z'Nuff fans than me and while i agree that Donnie, Chip, Frigo and Vik ARE still the band (with Monaco and Ricky), this lineup is fantastic! They sound great! They look great! And there all cracking guys! Donnie bailed again and Chip keeps the flame alive although he is the first to admit it aint the same anymore. They still rock though. Cheers.
This actually sounds really good. Yeah, he's not Donnie, but Donnie apparently doesn't want to do this any more. Why not keep going when you sound this good?
While I agree with the statement that the real band is Donnie, Chip, Derek, and Vik I will call this a B side version of Enuff Z Nuff. I know it doesn't sound remotely as good as the original. However I can't blame Chip for carrying on. None of this is his fault Derek couldn't kick drugs and died. Donnie has his issues and Vik got better work throughout the years. I know it's not a good comparison but I work at a bank and if tomorrow my co workers quit or leave or have drug problems I still go to my bank and make a living. Chip is a musician and has a right to make a living. It's up to us whether we want to pay to see the B version of them. Also considering Chip's name is in the band title and he co wrote almost every song he has a little more ground to stand on.
William Uren I find it funny how people are always negative about everything. I knew these guys personally as a young man. Good guys. Donnie let the heroin get in his way but My life wouldn't be the same without him.
Chip sounds nothing like Donnie. Donnie is a LEGEND. Monaco did an AMAZING job when DV split but he left the band as well. I'm happy that EZN lives on, however Chip's vocals are horrible.

I'm not a fan, but what the hell? It sounds fine to me. Why all the complaining about it not being good, and not as good as the original guys? I watched a couple videos with Donnie singing, and it wasn't all that good. Chip seems to be doing just fine.
Boo, Chip's just a ripoff artist, always was and always will be till he does his "own thing". True, Donnie had issues but it didn't justify Chip ripping off everything Donnie wrote and putting his name to it. There will always be only one Enuff Z'nuff, Donnie, Derek, Vik and Chip Z'clown, anything else is just bad Karaoke.
