"I should be the ONLY mfer getting praise in the Genshin community because I don't spend money on Genshin impact." (immediately whales on viewers accounts the next day) Not how it works lil bro
I never expected him to be smart, I always thought of him as “cute stupid dumb person” but he ripped off his mask LMAOOO why he talking crazy like that
“I’m purely F2P so this doesn’t concern me… don’t spend on the game!” - the same guy who is monetizing and earning off the game still through sponsors and subs LOLLLLL. Such a L take by Envi. Him not caring about what happens and what his community is going through is leaving such a bad taste in my mouth. And him calling names on these people calling him out is so immature. Officially unfollowing Envi.
I'd understand if he was being a hypocrite, but he wasn't. Why should he jeopardize his own career just for some pointless CN drama? He can do whatever he wants and if he wants to play Genshin, then he has the right to. Like actually what is it that you think he did wrong here? Is it just that he kept playing Genshin or is it that you don't like hearing people get mad?
@@KenLinx Because the dude is already a millionaire? Unlike us mortals who live paycheck by paycheck every month, this "wholesome" cringe slime can retire tomorrow and would live comfortably for the rest of his life. If he doesn't do it is because one reason only. Greed. Greed. And more greed. He could have stopped whaling for other people. He could have stopped accepting sponsorships, He could have joined the cause. Instead, he cries like a little baby because 2 randos bullied him and hurt his snowflake feelings., continuing to promote the game and pretend that everything is sunshine and rainbows.
Its also a really dumbass take imo If I told a whale that were only being given 13 free pulls for this lantern rite they would care? Obviously not since theyre gonna put money into genshin to get the characters its only the f2p people that will get concerned over this since theyre only gettin 70 to 80 pulls for this entire patch
Ok now tell your kektone king stop monetizing his honkai star rail videos, since he also praise himself the best f2p player in honkai star rail with worst gacha luck.
He was more calm before but for the past years he started to act more like an asshole/child/reddit moderator and just ban forever anyone he wants even people who did nothing wrong often due to misunderstanding on his own part. That’s a typical behaviour of any streamer with large enough audience “I’m always right and everyone else who disagree is wrong and an idiot” he is not the only one who does that, almost all of the streamers, streamers are not your friends even if they pretend to be one to scam money out of you.
Exactly. I unsubbed from him. he didn’t need to spend money in order to address the situation. he is a voice in the community. it didn’t matter whether he is F2P or not. it’s like he’s saying “i am F2P, i don’t need to care about the situation.” What a f*cking double-sided arrogant hypocrite.
?? I just found out about this and he's 100% right. Like wtf you mean he "showed his true colors"? You just don't like hearing people swear or something? What did he do wrong?
@@KenLinx People misconstrued what he was saying, they heard "I should be the only one who deserves praise" and interpreted it as him being an egomaniac, when if you consider the context, it's clear that he's just telling boycotters to leave him alone through using their own logic to defend himself. It's true that the right way to make change is to not spend money, it's true that his brand was built on being the "f2p guy". He's not obligated to participate in drama but him and his friends were receiving harassment which he's obviously pissed off about and resulted in this emotional outburst
@@I.disagreehow do you defend him using his viewers’ pulls to monetize his own content while still technically defining himself as “f2p”? It just screams “this game doesn’t have enough content if you don’t spend on the gacha” so how does he stay on his high horse taking advantage of a game feature he otherwise couldn’t see unless he spent a ton of money? Then he says nobody’s voice matters when we all see this shit go viral when everyone EXCEPT big CCs trying to speak out and literally getting silenced by Hoyo themselves.
@@I.disagree Yeah, that seems to be what it is. Not surprised Genshin's children community misconstrued it that way. He should be more edgy so he can finally rid his community of children.
Ah yes blame the spenders while envi continues to fckin promote the game via using spenders as viewer summons for a vid so its not about making a video addressing this and it wont work it's about sending a message to the community that you see the problems and you are with them but no you just tell people to just not spend while shamelessly continue to promote said game that won't change good job envi you have now shown your true feelings for the community
@@Pain09876 fr fr I don't even know wut to say I even watch his stream cus I genuinely liked his content but nope the mask fell off and I have seen wut I've seen
The smily face slime is such a complete dissonance with what he is saying and the wWAY he is saying it, sheesh, he was one of the content creators i used to kinda follow before i stopped playing the game.. certainly did not expect this :(
He is saying that he is F2P but he is farming out money on twitch by getting an insane amount of subs and not even buying for his audience, but literally pulling on their account in which they bought primos with their own $ Tectone should react to this video
I don't get what's bad about this video, him saying he deserves praise for being the only CC that doesn't spend money in the game in this context is just used to reinforce his next opinion about how not spending money on the game is a good way to create change (which is true) People are acting as if this is an ego move when he's just using the boycotter's logic to support his own points. Sure he's making money from it but it doesn't change the fact that money and sales are the most effective way to create changes not complaining which will just lead to being ignored by a big company like hoyo I'm not defending, I just want to know if there's more to this, because to me it just seems like people are misinterpreting what he's saying
@@I.disagree He's right, he doesn't have to speak about it if he doesn't want to, he doesn't have to care about it, and yes not spending money is indeed a good thing to do and it should be taken into account, but where he messed up is that while he didn't care enough about the drama he couldn't do the same to the people asking him to, and on top of that he responded to them while insulting them the whole clip, and claiming that he should be "praised" is a meh look to give yourself. Plus the second part of the clip destroys completely what he said in the first part "one video isn't gonna change anything mfs duh" -> "if each of you don't spend it's gonna add up *strength in number* guys"
@@GoncaloDCa I understand he was being an asshole in the clip but I also recognise that there could've been more to what happened before the stream which mtashed even talked about and I agreed with. I've seen lots of toxicity against CC's on social media by tectone's community, eg. people calling Dish "hoyo's cumsock" and it wouldn't surprise me if he said this after getting extremely pissed off over the toxicity, all over pretty insignificant video game drama. I do agree that him saying "one video isn't gonna do sh**" was a bad move but I don't think that invalidates his first point since making a video isn't the same as telling people to spend, they're both independent. I'm just upset that people have turned their attention from hoyo and started blaming content creators for all the issues when they've been actively talking about the game's issues for a long time, I even remember Envi joining in on the "genshin could never" sentiment on HSR streams. I understand how they feel annoyed and it's pretty sad honestly, call it cope but I initially agreed with what Tectone was saying, and this drama might've resulted in some change if people didn't lose sight of the actual root of the problem. Harassment towards Enviosity, Tectone and everyone just needs to stop. They should all just get in a voicecall and talk about things like adults instead of participating in this overblown first-world drama
@@I.disagree He could have been pissed off for reasonable reasons but it doesn't change what he said though, and I don't think him saying "one video isn't gonna change anything" is bad, I understand what he's saying, what doesn't make sense is saying "one video isn't gonna change anything" while saying "if only one person doesn't spend it's useless, but the more people do it the more effective it is" at the same time and acting as if he was the messiah because he doesn't spend on his account, But yes aside from that it's sad that people just throw the blame on anyone instead of staying focused on the goal.
@@GoncaloDCa Well the reason why I think there's a difference is because Envi's community has more than likely already heard of the drama because he shares mostly the same community with other content creators who had already spoken up, which is a different situation to an independent person choosing not to pay money because that's a case that doesn't involve overlap. Interpretations aside, I'm glad we can at least agree that the focus should be on mihoyo's stinginess and not this petty drama between content creators
Him saying "i should be the only one to be praised" is probably the worst thing he said to the audience. Because these words has so many meaning but everyone agrees on when he said that everyone thought that he is just being bad with other f2p content creator, and just being selfish saying that he is the only f2p players content creator who need more attention than everyone else. At least thats how i thought he meant. Tho i agree that people should stop spending money on genshin if they want to fix the game, but not spending money its not the only solution here. A voice, a post, a video, a unfollow still matters on it, wars arent won easily sometimes. It will take time until a war is won, and it will take time until genshin listen to their fans. What i dont like is so many people are bark and no bite its why there is no change to it
Enviousity just f*cked up moments. He doesn't know about the Genshin Drama but blindly defended the GI and rant the GI community; He edgyly praise himself for not spending any money to the game (despite we knew he get some seed money from Mihoyo Sponsorship for promoting the game)
@@notviper368 he does it via give aways and stuff like that but even then the problem is that he’s still giving them money which hurts his entire argument
I never thought envi's time was so worthless logging in everyday for what 3 years straight making multiple videos a day but no im free to play lmfaooooo streaming for hours picking up flowers this is all recorded but hes F2P lmfaooooooooooooo then proceeds to pull on other peoples accounts im free to play thats crazyyyy then the fact he thinks voicing his opinion wont change anything is crazy to me Does Enviosity even Vote for his Goverment or is he Free ro play so he doesnt have to
How is this dude gonna say 10 dollars among millions of people will add up and yet in the same breath claim that a one star review isn’t going to do anything? Everything adds pressure. There are multiple avenues of communication consumers can have with a company. Payment is the biggest one yes, but when it comes to entertainment companies, community outrage can also have a strong effect. People’s time and attention is limited. If all they see when they look something up is negativity, guess what? They will move onto something else. That’s a lost player. That hurts the bottom line.
I find it ironic how he encourages people to not spend money to make changes yet he whales on peoples account "BE LIKE ME AND NOT SPEND MONEY!|11!1!!!1" okay bud
So...not spending 5 dollars is more impactful than making a video spreading information to other people about what needs to change? Not a shill at all.
brother, 99% of the genshin community doesn't even speak on these things and you don't realize we agree with Envi and hate you guys. I'm f2p and I save for the characters I want and I get them all. You do single summons out of desperation , on every banner that drops btw, and then you cry when you get a 3 star weapon, where is the logic. it's not even about money at this point, I'm concerned about your intelligence
3:39 fits so well with Homelander's public speech(vid is Homelander's Sinister Birthday) in 1:47, just turn off Homelander's vid sound and listen 3:39 with Envi's vid. Just try this shit out on pc, it's fucking hilarious
I can’t see where Envy is wrong? He doesn’t owe anything to anyone. Community drove themselves into thinking that there will be bigger rewards and when they didn’t get them they got upset. It is not an anniversary or something. Just a new year and we got the same rewards we had last year. It’s all about high expectations that were not satisfied. All his decisions to be f2p and to spend money on other’s accounts are HIS. Where is he a hypocrite? I don’t watch streamers, I’m just a bystander and for me all this situation is pure circus and dirty laundry parade that could have been easily solved privately.
Not to mention him saying he doesn't get into drama then posts 19 petty tweets against tectone including bringing up tectones ex marriage that had nothing to do with the drama only to demonise him, hes not your funny wholesome guy
him being a hypocrite is about how he rants on whales being the issue and how he praises himself for not spending money while actively getting sponsored streams and whaling on other people's accounts
It's gotten so bad that content creators are having to fight to defend themselves because they fully support the current system and are getting massive hate for it. I'm from NA so I say this with a grain of salt because I know things are much different globally but why do people think the characters should all of a sudden be free and easier for them? The game itself is free. It cost no money to download and play the game, all you need is a phone and internet. on top of that, you get free materials to get mostly everything in the game so it's not necessary to spend anything. this option is what the majority of you take. So that being the case, who pays the voice actors? who pays for the servers to maintain everyone's data? who pays for the producers, designers, and the choreographers? who pays the hundreds of professional musicians to do live concerts? I could go on for days. The answer is the pay to win players. If it wasn't for them there would be no new content. If it wasn't for them there would be no new characters. You want Hoyoverse to spit in the face of every person that took their hard earned money to separate themselves and get ahead in the game, and have the best artifacts, characters etc. by going Communist and giving everyone an equal playing field? Then what happens? All the pay to win players get pissed and leave. And then the game stops getting updated, or worse, shuts down completely. It's happened before to several popular mobile games. Instead of being ungrateful and thinking the world should conform around you why don't you work to get the things you want instead of begging for handouts? That sh*t doesn't fly over here in America, you will be homeless begging in the streets and people will step over you. 🇺🇸
You are missing the point and have the wrong idea of what the community wants. They don't want every character to be free, they want better rewards for the amount of time, effort, support, and money they spent on the game. They want more QoL changes, and more endgame contents like HSR, and HI3. They only say they want a free 5* character because HSR gave everyone the new limited 5* character for free as a thank you for the support from their community. They don't hate the P2W players, it's just this one CC, Enviosity, is a "proud F2P" (He just whales on his viewer accounts instead so he technically remains a F2P) so he is making a big deal about that which isn't really relevant to the topic. Tectone and other CCs who voiced their discontent with Hoyo said that the only thing that can make Hoyo care and listen is the bottom line. They don't hate P2W, Whales, etc... They just pointing out that not spending money on the game this patch would be a good way to boycott, to make Hoyo listen to the community complaints. Even the whales and P2W players are outraged at Hoyo. If you are motivated to play the game now, wouldn't you be more motivated if the rewards are better?
Hoyo is treating the game and its players poorly, this isn't about rewards but dissatisfaction over the years of the many quality of life improvements as well as more endgame content that the community has been crying out for years how are you to expect players to want to spend money and support you when you are giving them nothing in return for their support, the players are what give you money so when they feel like they are treated like then they would feel frustrated and fed up David Jiang the producer and currently dev team leader for HSR and HI3 have proven what they can do and are willing to give as a show of earnest respect and appreciation toward the player, when you compare that to how Cai Haoyu leads this game you will see an extreme difference a better weapon gacha system, more endgame content, artefact load outs, more resin, being able to replay events or play past events, being able to replay quests, increasing the FPS cap, more optimization, a better way to farm artefacts, alongside adding the weapons for some of the standard banner character into the actual standard banner or add away to get them via other means. all these things seem simple but its examples of these simple things that never get added instead have gotten added into HI3 or HSR which is what made the community blow up because now it seems like hoyos own games are competing against GI in terms of player reward and satisfaction with all that said i really don't wanna go to HI3 or HSR to experience this shit, that would be a stupid way to ever solve an issue, i just wanna see this game actually improve and get the treatment it well deserves but its being held down by greedy executives that only want money. Cai Haoyu is someone with not a good reputation because he use to be the lead developer of HI3 and now his greediness is in full force because sales keep kicking up im this game. its a wonderful game covered in shit
@@EibonAQT i'm not missing anything. better rewards = more primos and fates which basically = free characters (let's be HONEST and not play word games like a child) Again. the game as it stands is fine. there's over 100k of free primos you get starting from AR1 all the way to my current rank AR 50. If you guys would save for the characters you want instead of pulling on every banner and doing singles every time you get a measly 160 primos, maybe you wouldn't be crying about rewards. The game was meant to be played for years to come. Again, this is coming from a F2P platter that saved for almost 300 days to get Wanderer and Raiden.
@@EibonAQT I appreciate your perspective and you've mentioned things other than fates that I DO support. The resin and artifact system IS trash. The optimizations did come super late (pause) and the i've been waiting for the main plot to continue for like 8 months now. Neverthess, I don't support giving out more primos or fates. Save for the characters you want or get a job and pay for it like everyone else because the game is very enjoyable as is and would be extremely boring without the current wish rates One suggestion that I have that actually does make sense, is making all the 5 star banners available full time. That way, people don't have to cry and moan when a character drops and they don't have primos. At the end of the day, that won't solve the problem cause the foolish ones (98 % off players) will do single summons on each banner and complain when they don't get a 4-5 star character
I don't understand why people are mad at him. He never said he had a problem with the game. He just said that the Genshin drama was pointless and that if people want change, they should just stop spending.
If you dont understand how his ego make him give the dumbest take idk what to tell you but sure he's the only one that should be getting praised right?
@@OrtegaJos ?? What part of this is a dumb take? Also, he literally never said he's the only one who should be getting praise. He just said he should be getting praise instead of hate for not spending on Genshin, and he's right.
