Environment Painting - The Bazaar 

The tablet was really used for the painting.... literally

Your starting technique just blew my mind.

I always start with Mona Lisa

I love this piece, not only that there is so much going on, but the artist takes pictures and puts them in in the piece, but that does not make them a slacker for using others works for their own, but uses it as a skeleton for something completely original and amazing!

I'm more concerned about the fact that it took him 5 hours to drink one cup of coffee.

This is the most efficient technique of background painting I've ever seen.

looked at thumbnail, "looks good, let's give it a go." First ten seconds, "holy shit, that's was new."

I can just hear ethan becker going. "Don't you ever! draw with a tablet!"

Years ago, when I came across this piece, I was simply blown away with how good you are. You in part inspired me to work at my own art pieces a bit harder.

In the begining i was like : "What the heck ?!" And now i'm like : "TEACH ME MASTER !"

I love how you took elements and people and placed them into the scene to make this. I just don't know how you how you made it all blend in so smoothly. I envy people who can do this.

I actually learnt so much watching this in the first 5 minutes, awesome painting !!

reminds me of cutting out things in magazines with scissors and pasting them all onto a page to make your own scene...… but on a whole different level with the warping/fading techniques. I am super in awe.

This is a very interesting technique I have never seen before. Wonderful job.

I'm really trying to learn the basics of environment painting but workflow and efficiency i guess you could say is really important to me (time is of the essence! I have a lot to learn). I think people might mistake this as short-cutting in some way which couldn't be further from the truth. The application of the fundamentals which I'm currently learning about here is done so well and as someone who wants to learn but also create a lot of different things this is just so awesome! (The perspective, the lighting and color choice and composition just to name a few). Just like time is important when creating concept art for studios and clients, i think the approach can be applied to learning as well. I'm excited now :) Thanks so much for sharing.

I'm looking to get into music production/composition. The background music sounds like something within my reach... I can understand it... Dissect it, take it apart... But as sb who can't even draw stick figures properly, I'm in awe of anything like this. I can't comprehend how a human mind can reach this level of visual understanding. Kudos.
