game wardens are worst to be honest, these guys can go through whatever they want without a warrant. Game wardens are not to be triffled with, those dudes in green man
I work in Alaska as a charter boat deckhand in the summers. We are checked like this every single day when we get to the docks. Helps ensure that boats who decide to overharvest or harvest illegal fish get caught, or never do it in the first place. It’s one of the reasons Alaska’s fish populations are so much better than the other west coast states. Edit: yes I’m aware Alaska is way larger with a smaller population. However if you know anything about the commercial fishing industry, Alaska harvests more fish commercially and through charters than any other west coast state and pretty much every other state in the U.S. It’s Alaskas primary industry besides oil.
This is what I love to see! Trying to become a Cheechako. Grew up in Minnesnowta and the summers are nicer in AK. Just as many mosquitoes but not the heat of FL summers with winters from the Arctic. My kind of place. 😂
@@geraldhowse8597how? Some dickhead bags out all the fish and leaves none to carry on the next generation, nobody else gets fish. Pretty fuckin simple.
Don't hate on the guys trying to keep overfishing under control...regulations are there for a reason. If you enjoy fishing and want to keep doing it regulations help keep the assholes accountable.
I watched a NJ wildlife officer in full tactical gear , ballistic vest etc. measuring fluke on a small boat with a Grandpa and his grandson. He walked by and I said to him "maybe you're a little overdressed for this party". He did not appreciate this, too bad, so sad. Some of these guys are A-Holes.
Looks like you go for pork sausages, these tax paid human rights violators, just want power over the people. The corrupt politicians and brainless sheep, believe that amateur fishermen are depleting the fish stocks by having a few extra, while the comercial fishermen are catching many tons each. Get some brains people.
@walker.wayne5772 That's not a search, that's an inspection. It's not to put you in jail, it's to preserve fish stock so we can keep hunting and fishing in the future.
Two types of Game Wardens / Fishing Officials 1. Are power tripping asshats who just want to ruin everything and anything involving their respective section 2. Are actual good Wardens who are actually stopping people from overfishing/overhunting
Edit: That's only with game warden \ conservation officer. No experience with fisheries officers. I guess they're out there, but never met one in over 20 years!
Near where I live a few years ago, two old jerkoffs got caught with a few _hundred_ bluegill and sunfish in their boat. The limit is 25. After a search of their homes they found over 1000 more. They had been catching, cleaning, and freezing them and _never ate any._ Infuriating.
@@Nebaulusnot at all 😂 this is actually what conservation looks like. but to an uneducated individual it looks like a scene from the "Blackfish" documentary 😂
In Michigan every spring there's a "smelt run"; small tasty fish. State wanted to put controls on how many you could catch, and the large hunting and fishing community pressured the legislature to refuse it. So the overharvesting continued and now the runs are small and sometimes don't happen at all. I mean, some people were catching basketfuls and throwing them on their gardens, plowing them under as "fertilizer".
Most of the time. Ran into some cool ones. Ran into a couple of d***s. Favorite of all time when a new guy checked our walk in outdoor freezer and the old redneck landowner chews him out so bad he literally left crying saying don’t ever call him if we need help lol. He left the county next season
In actuality, these people definitely don't support them. The only people who support them are the poachers, the funding comes from fish and game violations.
@@floppycockjamboozle5382 the police are making sure they aren't taking fish that are still growing up, as well as make sure they aren't taking more fish than they are allowed to, both of which serve to protect and control the wild fish populations at a sustainable level so people can come and fish for their food every year.
You have to be legitimately braindead to hate game wardens. If you hunt or fish you should be happy they exist, I’ve never met a game warden that was disrespectful, rude or nasty. They check what they have to check and they’re on their way.
Oh, trust me they got fined if not some jail time you can’t catch that many without consequences or commercial licenses and I’m talking you need a lot of licenses to fish like that
@@mrwhiskers1471 its very simple to get a commercial license now days, anyone get get it and catch ton of fish. Definitely there should be a different limit even for commercial.
LOL they're using fishing poles they're not out there using nets they caught a couple fish that's nothing compared to the people that net the fish you guys need to do some research....
This is absolutely dick to do with overfishing. I truly believe that you people have an infant's understanding of the ABSOLUTE FUCKING SCALE of the oceans.... This little boat has about 1% of what every commercial boat out there netting pulls in... *_every single day._*
I appreciate the fish and wildlife guys checking everyone and doing their jobs. Print out your license, and keep a copy with your fishing gear. Way easier than fumbling with a phone.
Be quick and polite - these guys are only doing their job and our fish stocks are in such a terrible state that this is so necessary. Of course there will be assholes power tripping, but I've found they're fairly rare to encounter. I find that offering a nice cold soda on a hot day helps a lot. They check that everything is in order and then head off to hassle the next asshole in line.

@@jamesdrake2378.... That's their standard wear dude, do you except them to go "oh, it's just grandpa, lemme go take all this stuff off?" I'm sorry man but that's stupid.
the local here always say, when you caught soo many fish like as if the fish come to you. you better stop early, because its the sea telling you to leave. sometimes its a sudden bad weather or shark
Just in case anyone is wondering the legality of wardens searching: The U.S. Supreme court upheld Maihkio vs. California which says game wardens have the authority to stop, question, and search citizens without a warrant or probable cause. The court clarified that people who hunt and fish have reduced privacy rights concerning the Fourth Amendment.
Legislating from the bench is wrong. What the SCOTUS should do is refer the case to the Congress and explain what is wrong with the existing law/amendment. Courts should not create law/undermine law/erode constitutional rights. We have an entire branch of government that should be creating and amending law.
@@AFreeThinkingDawg09if they aren’t there we don’t keep fisheries alive. Sorry bud, but people are greedy. Regulators are necessary. It’s just the way it is, no matter how you “conservatives” try to spin it.

They're just doing their job. If it weren't for the DNR the foreigners would fish out every lake here in Minnesota. They do it anyways, too many of them to catch.
Man I remember when we went lobster fishing in Florida and this cop came we had like 7 over the limit that was 2 each the cop starts checking them I'm shaking and my uncle says if you want you can take some home for the family the cop says alright grabs 3 and says to my uncle dont come back over here lol we was broke and my uncle had warrant out of miami Dade we was in the keys the best and the most adrenaline moment I had in my life that cop man I will never forget
Great vid. I also wanted to let ppl know of a new report that was released yesterday. A new study has revealed worrying levels of fiberglass in oysters and mussels. This marks the first time fiberglass or glass has been found vs the microplastics. The tissue samples of oysters and mussels were collected near an active boatyard in Chichester Harbor, a popular sailing destination in South England. A perfect example of 'cause and effect' dumping of manufacturing rubbish finding their way into our waterways or similar household dumps. Truthfully none of this is a surprise as its commonsense there wld be an impact although we don’t know yet the true impact of these micros, drug cocktaiks in our water. Other than there's a big drop in birthrates and fertility across the workd. A lot has to do with aging populations but the drop in fertility is a big concern.
Did you offer the fish game wardens any catch to take home with them for their families? They have crappy jobs, but do their best to keep everyone safe and protect our resources.
No Officer worth his salt would do that = it's your badge. Generally, pretty cool though. Every body wants to go home tonight...ya know. Deer hunting season gets more interesting.
Its really great to see sensible conservation working. Its happening in pockets around the world. Lobster in Maine have strict catching parameters too, which means big males and female eggers are protected.
Oh my gosh! Apparently ocean regulations are way different than inland regulations here in Michigan except for small panfish. You can only keep maybe six of a species. Can't believe how many you were able to keep legally! I expected you guys to be going to jail with that many fish.
If they were this aggressive with boarding illegal Chinese fishing vessels as they were with recreational fishermen, we wouldn't have shortages of fish
Should look up the rules and regs before you just assume, this is 100% legal as long as their were no shorts. Plus it's a small commercial boat they have different limits and what not. These fish, have no bag limit also.
In iceland we call that fish ufsi. Some people call it ocean salmon. Which isnt correct. But why dont you bleed them? Once caught, cut the to bleed them. The fish stays fresher longer.

If only people in Florida cared more about the coral reefs and the fish populations not to mention manatees and alligators. In my lifetime I've watched the coral reefs around Tampa bay all the way to the keys go from thriving to dead bleached and zero life. I was part of creating a rock pile and special concrete manmade reefs for all manner of life to grow on. In Florida because of the heavy pollution by paper plants and sugar cane harvests not to mention the invasive species like snakehead and lionfish to iguanas and pythons up to 20 ft long. The government knows that the paper plants are directly responsible for the increase of red tides which can be deadly to everything including humans. Used to at my childhood home you could go out on the dock at any given time during the evening and see a huge pod of dolphins now they barely exist in much smaller populations. In the last 20 years all of the gulf of Mexico and Bahamas have seen 95% of the Coral reefs die off. Iguanas and pythons and Nile monitors have decimated the land and native species. Not to mention the maleluca trees brought here to suck up water in the glades to develop swamp into farmable land. Now the state pays people to go out cut down and kill the trees which is very difficult because if the tree seeds up before its cut down over a million seeds can germinate and take over again killing off the native species. This is all something that our government knows. However because these companies are literally paying for people like ron desantis to keep oppressing the state and allowing things they should have stopped years ago... Ron desantis and the Republican party have made Florida a hellscape for all. Nobody can afford insurances with increased homeowners insurance going up 400 percent in some areas causing companies to leave. Hes caused the biggest employer of the state Disney to stop billions of dollar plans that would bring in more jobs for Floridians because of his authoritarian policies and making books illegal and waging his war against whatever wokeism is. He doesnt even realize that hes literally saying hes against smart people that can actually use critical thinking. What I'm saying is. When you vote this year. Consider all this
If you don't know what "wokeism" is, your political opinion is invalid. Insurance rates are up across the country due to lawless activity emboldened by the BLM movement! DeSantis for President!
If your woke, your not an intelligent person capable of critical thinking. More like critical feelings! If you discard facts and nature your using any kind of critical thinking!
