@allyc.6978 I just realized about Disgust's makeup, which makes further sense when considering the deadly sin of *Pride* (and funnily enough, Envy herself explicitly represents another deadly sin, as well).
@@SassyNymphet i honestly do not like how envy was portrayed here. in real life envy is that constant feeling of being lesser then someone else, of being jealous of somebody else, desiring what someone else has and never being satisfied with what you've got. its a pretty miserable feeling, and having it be represented by an innocent character like this kinda rubs me the wrong way
You know what, even though I used to see them in a mother and daughter-type of relationship, I think your view of a sibling relationship makes more sense. This is perhaps best exemplified by Disgust intervening when Envy is doing something that will get them both in trouble, however otherwise refusing to let her touch her hair and just letting her do whatever she wants, especially with that sassy behavior stereotypical of teenage girls. In short, now I see them as Disgust being a teenage sibling forced to take care of her baby sister.

But I believe the reason for this is because Envy (and Anxiety) wanted Riley to become good friends with the Fire Hawks and make a good first impression to the coach so that she definitely wouldn’t be alone in high school and thus also wanted Riley to take hockey more seriously. And also because, unlike Joy (at first), Envy (+ Anxiety and Disgust) noticed Coach Roberts entering the dressing room and understood that Riley can’t make a bad impression in front of her or else Riley would get in trouble. Also, Anxiety and Envy tried to make Riley abandon her besties Bree and Grace for like, three reasons: 1. because they initially believed that hanging out with them would be pointless since they’re going to go to different high schools than Riley, which would make Riley lonely; 2. Joy making Riley goof off with Bree and Grace and getting in trouble with Coach Roberts and the Fire Hawks convinced both Anxiety and Envy that Riley shouldn’t hang out with Grace and Bree or else Riley might get in trouble again, *definitely* wouldn’t get in the Firehawks team, and would have a higher chance of having a hard time making new friends during high school; and 3.
