ENYA’S GLITTER CARBON FIBER GUITAR - cool. but, is it worth the hype?

I was lucky. I got mine the matte black for $189 plus tax and I received it in less than a week. So far is working pretty good. I’m an intermediate player. I wanted to try this to see if I like the carbon fiber composite and to improve my skills before I move up to a more expensive carbon fiber.

I'm at intermediate level and I've bought the same version of the video one. Also if it has shipping charges (at the end I've paied 450 € all included and shipped to Italy in one week) I think it's a competitive guitar on this price range (around 500 €). It has a fantastic design, very good factory setup (action is similar to an electric guitar), it's light but with a high volume for the dimensions. The main negative aspect is that frequency spectrum is higher in the middle range, sacrificing a bit the bass and high (for sure it cannot have the same sound of an all solid wood guitar). Despite this, the AcousticPlus system is an important game-changer: with the integrated EQ you can adjust as you prefer the frequency spectrum and save the preset; the possibility to integrate Chorus, Reverbero, Delay and so on it's a feature I use every time I play with it, so for me it's totally approved!

Nice man, we’ve been really enjoying the X4 Pro. Like you said fit and finish are impressive at the price-point, but totally could see the tone aspect being not there for some people. The carbon fiber and offset sound hole give it a very full and distinct sound, but may not be for everyone. It’s a bit different than a standard acoustic, but for us, we actually dig having something a little different to reach for 🤙🏽

@@TheGroovyGuitarDude I ended up falling down the carbon fiber rabbit hole. It took a while to find and play all the major players. I ended up with an Emerald X30.

I live in north Texas now but I travel a lot so I have multiple unnecessary drink cups here in Texas , in London, Wales, and finally Oslo Norway. By the way, since my original post I sent for a pink sparkly Nova Go for my only guitar student, Masie. She’s 12, talented, needed a good guitar but her parents are not able to afford one. Free music lessons for her now too. She will be really excited.

@@GuitarGoddess Thank you guys. Maisie is my only student now. Probably my last student. Going to give you just a short, quick background relative to my story. I am a triple citizen of the U.S., Great Britain, and Norway. I carry three passports. Well, actually four passports because one is an EU (jus sanguinis) passport which has allowed me to live and work in most EU countries. I have played guitar since I was five years old. My father was a professional Jazz guitar player in the 1950’s and 60’s but he left the family when I was two years old so I taught myself to play initially using his left behind session sheets and arrangements. I saw him once or twice a year but he never taught me. During my secondary school years I got formal guitar lessons both here in the States and in Oslo, Norway while living with my grandmother there. At the age of 21 I joined The Royal Marines in Great Britain where I served for eight years. Then I took several years off from the service, went to school, and got two degrees. One was in guitar performance. The second was a Master in Music Theory focusing on Jazz. Then in 1984 I was offered a commission In Norway’s JaegerkommandoenMarinen which is Norway’s version of Navy Seal here in the U.S. I served there for 9 years before being seriously wounded by a sniper in Bosnia during the terrible Serbian aggression against ethnic Muslims which we tried to prevent. This was in 1992. No more military for me after that. I played Jazz in Europe for a while then spent a year in Rio de Janiero playing Brazilian music in various bands which I loved. Then my health took a turn in my 40’s with heart disease and bad arthritis prompted by my service injury. I had pensions and benefits from both services so from my 40’s to now at almost 70 I taught private students, played club dates with various artists until I moved to Texas in 2009. I gave up all my students and traveling to play music and have been essentially retired since moving here (Texas). I only have my one student now: Maisie. I moved to Texas to be near my daughter and granddaughter who moved here before I did. I don’t know you guy’s politics but most people who find out my military background assume I am a right wing Trump supporter but I am not. My military experience with war has made me a peace seeker. I’m taking a chance telling you two this because you never know people’s political leanings but I am totally against Trump and his Maga Republicans. If he gets elected again I may move to Norway for a while. Texas is a deep, red state of course. Enough about politics and I won’t speak of it again. I am focusing now on my health, being with my daughter and granddaughter, teaching Maisie guitar, and of course just playing music for the pleasure of it. I don’t know why I gave you two this info but I like your RU-vid channel and the content. I will not pester you with comments after this, just maybe a short comment or two here and there about a video you post. Keep up your excellent work and the best to both of you. I think because of the size and the sound, solid wood is better the sound but higher maintinance

If you're in the US, Amazon has 2 sparkly models, pink & a silvery white. They just don't currently have GGs color.

@@chelseawray35 couldn't find glittery. But I did get a pink one. But it came from Amazon damaged. The speaker doesn't work. So, I have a acoustic Nova pro sp1. Lol. Sometimes I can hear the effects. But I can also plug it into a amp and it works. So, in a nutshell, I don't think Enya USA has released this guitar yet. But Amazon is carrying it, and they get them from Enya in China. It's complicated.
