Being 52 and remembering when this first came out and enjoying it then. This updated version? Nice! Addition of the low soft bass, extra beats, and other delicate touches just are sublime! This delights my ears very nicely! 👌👏👏👏 😎🇬🇧
In some way i envy u, being young and at that time and enjoy that age of music being released and talk about it with ur friends at the park... ¨hey... did u hear the new from Depeche Mode? Its enjoy the silence, u should try it, ull love it¨
@@TheGrinchoverin Yeah, back then we still had the enjoyment of hearing brand new tracks that were just that... Brand new! Unlike since where every 5 or 10 years there's a 'New' track released but all it is is a rehash of an original, but, just with a tweaked beat, extra baseline, and then some silly autotuned bint singing some new lyrics on it, or, some classic dance/other track with aforementioned addition of a baseline, beat but now a rapper mincing some lyrics across it... And the worse ones yet are the ones that have had a 3rd, or 4rth release over the years and is now so bastardised it's barely recognisable! Just goes to show how absolutely creatively bankrupt some music, ahem 😒 'Stars' are nowadays... 😒😒😒
I am 75 years young and this is one of the many songs/tunes i love. I hunt thro youtube for the unusual the not main stream and there are some of the best ever sounds.
Yessss! With headphones, the bass is so awesome! You go Enya! No skimpy dress, no provocative lyrics, no demeaning of others, yet you still produce all-time classics!
i'm not sure that it was intentionally provocative. jessica on the left is now an artist. virginia on the right is a lawyer. their brother, whose feet can be seen on the ladder at the back, has been cropped out, giving much more emphasis to the girls in the foreground than in the original.
@@sebastianverney7851 provactive though, not sensual sense. Thought provoking sense. Controversial. Provocative. Meaning provoking intentional response. Challenging to the viewer potentially.
@@sebastianverney7851, sorry to be the one to tell you but Emmett committed suicide three years ago after a car crash and struggling with mental illness.
The picture is called "Cigarette-Candy", taken in 1989. The photographer was Sally Mann, who is one of the most famous photographers in the U.S. Both the children in the photograph are hers while she also has another child, presumably the boy on the ladder in the background (he died last year at the age of 36).
After knowing/listening (to) Enya over 25 years, I found this remix just yesterday and from now on, this track runs up'n'down almost the whole day in my earphones!! What an outstanding AND flattering remix of one of Enyas' masterpieces!! 100% thumbs up to this remix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More of this, PLEASE!! Many props to the DJ!
Like liquid happiness - having known Enya for more than a decade, this elevates her angelic voice to another level. Thomas Stoffer sure knows what he's doing.
This is an awesome remix. Whenever your feeling a little down or unmotivated listen to this remix. Truelly uplifting. It'll put you in an awesome mood.
I think any remix should, above all else, be respectful to the original. Thomas Stoffer manages to add an extra dimension to the song without compromising the integrity of this class act from Enya .
They interrupt this great version of this song with a absurd commercial to sell cars. It's a Luceferic attempt to get money from me to continue their agenda of control.
When hearing the First seconds of a very good Song, it always feels like your ears turn forward like cats do when important noises suddenly touch something in your brain
supposedly Stanley Kubrick would read novels, and if it didn't hook him in the first few paragraphs, he'd chuck them to the garbage bin. I'm the same way with mixes, and this one was a banger from the start.
I use headphones for my daily listening. The sound is cleaner because of the lack of distance to my eardrums. I live to listen to music. Beautiful job. Didn’t reinvent the song. My guilty pleasure is listening to Enya
Such beautiful arrays of sound! Best remix of this song I've heard. I can't believe it took me this long to hear it! "Sail away" on the waves of synth!🐍🌹🌹🐍
I didn't know this song before, it just popped up and at first I was surprised and I was unable to say at first if I liked it or not. I still decided to give it a shot and to not skip it. For some reason this song felt like it would fit so perfectly in the game The Sims. In my head I pictured myself building a banger of a house in fast forward 😂😅 Anyway it's a banger and definitely going into my Playlist, it's perfect to have in the background when working on something or when I need to concentrate on something and be imaginative!
1st time I listened to this version was not so sure as I am used to hearing the original one, after hearing it a couple more times, I am totally sold, love the rhythm ! Thank you! Best remix I have heard!
Brilliant work, mate. One of the most incredible things about music is how a specific music can be connected to a specific memory/phase of your life, and and you get transported back in time every time the music hits your senses. This tune is deeply personal to me.
To me as well, as I remember when I first heard the original (back in 1993 or so) and I loved it. Strangely enough, every remix I have heard of this song I like as well. Happy Holidays.
I never like when some producer remix a good or classic TRACK...LIKE THIS ONE. I'm a producer to & just one word for this remix....ITS SO FCKING PERFECT !!!! What a very good job. You put just a perfect little things....beat, low kick bas, drums, HH, filter, WOW!!!!!
The picture adds, it's about art, and not about smoking deadly cigarettes! Proud authentic Swedish European! Proud to be a real Swedish citizen! Swedish blood shaped through millennia
