Great review! Really like this radio, but after watching this I'm going to purchase the top/dash mounted system instead due to positioning and display angle.
Thanks for a great review, For you front camera, try rotating camera 180 degrees, then invert front camera in software settings. This may fix mirror image on display.
My two screws never able to go in also CarPlay sometimes not working very well Sometimes you can ear the sound of the speakers even if the radio are turn off. But it is a great upgrade for the vehicle
I just ordered this unit from Aliexpress (it isn't called Eonon though, it just looks identical). I just wonder how does your climate control panel look now? Is it even possible to make it flush with the trim? I don't mind it sticking out a bit, just wanted to know how does it look now? After two months. And thanks for comprehensive review. Chapters in a progress bar was a nice touch.
So I've had the eonon 10.1 in my e90 for a couple months with no issues up until about a week ago. So two weeks ago I added after market amp and one 12 sub. With all top of line wiring kit.. No issues at all first week. But this last week all the sudden my stereo blinks off and back.on that quick, going black.to.play son it was playing but when it blinks it makes the interest car blink which if cruse control is on it shuts it off..the rpms and tac. Both drop to 0 and then right back current speed and rpms. All.light flicker off and back on as well, music cuts out as well of course. These all happen simultaneously and at first was just like the flick.of switch..then the day it does once then almost right does.it again this time the head unit shuts its self down to the point it has to boot back up and of course everything else blinks off and back on again. Except it makes warning light cycle through and on a the most recent times it's done it the cruise cost warning light stay on keeping it from.worming until I turn the car completely off and back on then It resets the cruse and it works fine..Checked all wiring in trunk no lose connections. Amp isn't even hot when this has occured.. This has only happened when just listing to music. Volume doesn't seems to be a factor either because its has done it at both low and higher volomes..any Ideas on whats causing this problem. I am certain it has to do with the head unit causing this to happen but uncertain as to why. Do I maybe have a bad unit and need to send it back under the warranty. Do I have a ground somewhere that I may of missed or a constant power wire that should of been hook up that is not. Also want to remove my security code that I have to enter everything I start the car. Put code in apon install just playing with it not realizing it would not allow me to just remove pin code.. Easy Connection under apps works for car play android and I Phone cordless. Have to download app on phone and then follow promts on phone and head unit. Works just like mirroring.
Sounds like your alternator can’t keep up, the car is turning off the electric portion. I’d check for grounding issue but could be alternator. Try 1 week with amp disconnected

For gps I normally just use android auto or carplay gps. Otherwise you need to create a wifi hotspot on your phone, then connect to it from the head unit and open google maps on head unit
Weird, on the amazon store page it shows the connector with all the speaker cables present. Does your build in connector also have all those cables? Also check to make sure the blue amp wire is hooked up too
Love the video! You convinced me to get that exact unit. How did you wire up the front camera though? I see that people use the reverse light as a trigger for the reverse camera, and because the light voltage isn't strong enough, you have to use a relay to power the camera, is that what you did as well? I'd like to have the forward camera working, because my bumper is too warped and causes it to be much lower than what it should be, and I always hit the parking bumps.
For rear camera i hooked up camera side power to ground and positive on the reverse light. Then on the head unit i connected the red 12v trigger wire to the 12v trigger on the head unit. For front camera i hooked up ground to chassis and positive i hooked up only the red wire on the head unit side to the 12v yellow wire on head unit.
Hi, so I have returned to this video many times to look at how you have it set up. Excellent video and very informative! I have a question. I have seen you installed a front facing camera. I am currently in the process of doing this. My issue is that it only works when the engine is off. When the engine is on the camera feed stops. What wiring did you do to make it all work?
I grounded it to the chassis in the engine bay to the strut tower bolt. For 12v I hooked up red wire to the eonon 12v cable. I think it was the yellow one?

What sound system did you say that device doesn’t work for? I have a 07 328xi and i watched this video before and you said it wont work for a certain system

I have the same exact car. With that same exact unit. Got a question for you. Are u having issues with keeping the time on the unit to stay correct? As well as the time on your dash? Mine was set and matched each other when I first installed the radio... now they dont match and none are the correct time. I can put the time on the radio manually.. then it’ll sync the cars time on the dash. But after a few starts of the vehicle, both times are completely off again. It’s driving me crazy. Lol. Other than that, the radio works pretty awesome!
There are 2 antenna wires from the factory unit (1 pink and 1 black) where did you connect both? I can only find 1 connection. Also, I have a backup camera with yellow video going in to the rear video on the unit... where in the unit can I connect the thin red wire (hot) that comes with from the backup camera?
I just realized you can see my whole audio settings from 2:46 to 4:21 . I have mine tuned for k pop but it should work well overall too. 10-20k is for treble. 125 and lower is bass , 500-1000 should help with vocals
Sorry I already had installed the backup camera. If I end up doing it for someone else I will. Basically you just need to remove the trunk handle, insert new trunk handle backup cam, then remove the carpet trim and run the wire to the head unit while tapping the 12v/ground from somewhere like tail light. Be sure to wire the red 12v trigger wire to the eonon
Hi, great review. I have a question about frame, my plan is also install same or similar unit but in my case exists small difference, because in my car have on the bottom below air conditioner commands one row of button some of them is only covers just one have function for on of start stop sistem, question is it is have solution for that because frame which is included in package of unit can't cover that last row, i hope that is explained ok , thanks in advance.
Hi buddy, good video and so educating ,I have the same unit and A0119P back up and dash cam ,my question to you is......since I saw you also got the same front cam as mine now I'm struggling as to where must I get my black box for all my recordings in terms of accidents etc..is there any app you using as your black box or you will get in your Unit please help,Eonon refers me to the manual but nothing is helpful in tht manual
Will I be able to just straight up install this into a 2005 e90 saloon no bother. I keep seeing mention of these fibre optic cables? What's that about?
My car throw SOS, ABS, and Break how do we get ride of them.. by the unilt itself? cause it came back after we erased them. and my cruise control doesn't work
SOS happens if you have fiber optics and there’s no way around it. For the other issues I’ve never heard anyone have them. I installed two units and had no issues. If you got it installed from someone perhaps they didn’t install it correctly?
Hey, did you ever get Bluetooth to connect? It won't connect on my phone (all the other functions work great) and the R/T button on my wheel just goes to the Bluetooth on the unit.
I changed boot screen in video but does nova launcher also make you lose the radio? There’s lots of functions and settings lost with many alternative car launchers

hi there. My OBD2 scanner Bluetooth links perfectly with the unit but it won't communicate with my 2007 328i ecu. any tips or anything I could do I've already got a hold of eonon and waiting for their response

I’m sorry I lost the clips of wiring somehow before I edited the video. But most of it is plug n ah. The included harness should fit and there’s one more harness included.
My only concern is the head unit is 4 x 48 watt 4 channel and my e90 has 6 speaker, the two fronts, the 2 backs, and the 2 subwoofers under the seats. Does it power your under the seat subs okay?
I instaled it in e90 and when going in reverse there is beeping form car sensors as normal but there is peepeing form eonon radio too so can i turn one of beeping off
So you couldn’t install a rear camera and use this radio as the output if you have a manual?? Looking at getting an e90 manual and wanting to do those two upgrades off the bat. Thanks for any input.
There is a bracket eonon sells that replaces the ashtray cover. I honestly never seen it myself in stock. There is an option in the head unit for heated seats so it would be nice to know if someone with heated seats got it working
I didn’t relocate my heated seats buttons I just got rid of them. And yes the settings on the unit do work for them. I was extremely surprised cause I got so mad that I didn’t order the relocation part so I could do it all at once but once I realized the unit actually does work for them I was extremely happy.

After installing it, After a few hours use when i turn up and down volume, i can't see the volume bar on the screen anymore. Do i selected something wrong? Did it appened to you? Hay, do you know if it’s possible to get the Eonon to display climate control info? I’ve seen this on a few Android systems but can’t seem to see it on my Eonon. It would be really useful as the climate control info is a little hard to see as the position of the Eonon slightly obscures it! Cheers
@@cs.studios Thanks for the reply dude, yeah I contacted them and they said it doesn't have that ability which is a shame as other android units do and with the positioning of the unit, if you're quite tall like me it makes it hard to see the original BMW temp read out!!!

Not that hard, took about an hour. It’s easy as long as you don’t add a front and backup camera like me. Then it gets a bit more involved running the wires
Eonon has a bracket for the ashtray you might wanna contact them and see if they still sell it. Other option would be disconnect the bracket and try and see if the digital buttons work like I showed in the video
You know how to shrink the icons all the apps on the main screen on this device if you know how or if there is a way can you please let me know thank you
