EOTech Clip LR vs Super Yoter C show down!

Have had several individuals ask for a comparison of these two....so here you go!
Day platform and optic (NX 8 2.5-20x50) was used for both thermals to make sure it was a fair comparison.
Going to be completing a full break down of specs, use cases, and optimized platforms for the Clip LR for the next video, so stay tuned!
If you are interested, these units are available right now at Strictly Offensive kit. For disclosure, this unit was sent to me to test, but my thoughts and findings are of my own accord without influence.

Yep, everything was unloaded with the bolt open on the rifle. The point was to show a live target to see thermal contrast and density

This is the "middle" option that eotech offers, correct? What a bad ass optic! I would love to get one for my 308. Its just so expensive... 😭

Yeasir, this is the intermediate to LR option. The moderate to close range is the Clip M and the extreme LR is the Clip xELR.

I have different optics I want to try with clip on thermals. I have the Trijicon 5.5x50, 4x32, Sig 4-16x44

With bottom ends that high, you will need a low FOV, milspec clip on like the EOtech xELR, Trijicon UTC Xii, or Voodoo M. Civi clip ons typically have a FOV or around 8⁰ and you'll need something around the 6⁰ mark.

Will this thermal still work well with a 1.5-6 elcan? As well as higher mag scopes shown in the video?

It will, but you'll be cutting into the display resolution since this is only an 8.3⁰ FOV model. You need something like a UTC Xii or Voodoo M with a ~6⁰ FOV to support that much magnification without that much noticeable pixelation.

I bought the gen 2 eXLR and have been debating the 2.5-20 or a 4-20. What’s your opinion there?

The 4-20 should be GTG due to the lesser FOV. You won't full up the display completely on the xELR until like 6x optical mag.

Highly dependent on the unit you have. Good thermals look like WP high FOM I² units.
