Chris-Craft. Hacker-Craft. GarWood. Century. Brendella? Find out what makes this ultra-rare, plywood ski boat restoration just as impressive as some of the biggest names in antique wooden power boats.
Unlike mahogany boats, plywood boats weren’t built to survive. Most of them, and their histories, rotted away. Our sponsor, ACBS, offers great resources on all kinds of boats, wood boat restoration, and local chapters.
You don’t even need to own a boat to enjoy the many benefits of membership in ACBS: Join ACBS today: acbs.org/join/

Love your channel and looking forward to many more videos. On the small lake in Michigan in 1969 it was all Mahogany and Chrome.

Poor guy had no chance deep water start with a modern thin slalom ski 😂 my dad use to ski behind a 1956 16’ Lyman I believe but it definitely has the old brown cover 35hp Johnson motor with skis he made himself which I still have. He was 180lb at that time and he would drag quite awhile before getting up. That was 1969 😇

The kid was a real sport, and a much better skier than I would ever have been. Glad to hear the story about your Dad. Thank you for sharing it.
