Subhan'Allah, one of thee most important podcast's. Thank you for highlighting this huge and unfortunate problem we have. Recently I held an event at my local masjid and I was so shocked to hear it was the first of its kind and the masjid has been there for years. One of many now insha'Allah. Our youth need us!
May Allah SWT reward you with all good ! We ask Allah SWT Who guide whom He will to a straight path to guide us and our offspring to the truth and save us from all kind of Fitnah !
Awww Sheikh.. has hit the nail on the head mashaallah. May Allah reward him. Ameen What we need to do now is implement one very good example, of a masjid doing this and inshallah ta-ala it should make a difference, You know. we all like competing...ie. let’s follow this masjid, there doing well.. Before Ramadan.. I was told that brothers are in the betting shop spending up to 3k a time. Why can’t we do something to help them. As sheikh said there not our kids. Then you’ve got the masjid near by, stuck on what to do, Sheikh is concerned and we should be to!!! Who’s going to open the masjid doors 20 years down the line?? Exactly nobody... Too busy with dunya and nice cars etc. Children’ going to school with headphones on parents ain’t got a clue on what there listening to,we need to wake up other wise we will face consequences... Kids Starts of with no belt round the trousers showing there shorts off.then funky haircuts..then cigarettes. All else follows on... If we as a community will address these issues... Then inshallah we will be more aware of all surroundings. Allah guide our children and specially our elders who can’t see the generations to come. Ameen.
great insight by sheiksaab.Very articulate.I was introduced to his bayaans when the Lee Rigby incidents took place. One of the other tried and tested methods is introducing Tabligh to the youth aswell.Once we have a few level headed youth,They will go onto make effort on other youths and this will create a domino effect. Most masjids have a tabligh setup and everything is done collectively.
Very imformative and quite possibly the most important conversation of our times. I would love to work with this Brother. Every community needs a brother like him.
Mashallah another great podcast on a very important topic. Hope mosque leaders take heed and change their agenda. Growing up in the west I have always felt the mosques belonged to older people and those very practising Muslims but now I am realising that in fact those who are not practising and the young generation are in much need of the mosques but often these people stay away due to judgedments etc. Hope as Muslims we can foster a culture of acceptance in our mosques inshallah.
Very good interview. Only problem is, the people do pay for carpets and bricks and mortar. I can go to the committee and tell them we won't pay for carpets. but everyone else will... its the mindset of our community thats the issue and what their perception of Mosques.
How much do the Imam get paid? How much should they be paid? If the Imam was educated in Asia or Middle East or UK should they be paid same or based on experience and skills?
The elders grew up with the knowledge of blind faith. So the abuse beatings, forced marries, mental health , racism,Hell was a yes sir cultural answer and reply and obedience These days thanks to the internet the youth are out there researching the truth and so battles and confrontation appear in the homes with the masjids stuck in the middle. Halal has become haram and the culture is number 1 At the hands of the Elders. This is why the youth are messed with bcuz emotional blackmail of religion is used against them rather than the truth shown of light upon light of deen
