Ep 1 - A Micro Apartment in Tokyo🏠🪜 - 9sqm/96sqft 

Love the apartment, looks more practical. But i would rather sleep downstairs and use the loft as storage/ working area. I can't imagine climbing down at night in the dark to use the bathroom/ not answering to door on time or if there was an emergenry- rushing to get out, then accidently falling O.o

The apartment looks really nice and more spacious (especially due to the seperated sleeping space). And also thank you for always showing the price in other currencies. It really helps me to keep track of how much different things in your videos cost.

I have to say that, I agree with most the other commentators on here. This apartment is spacious and of course, very practical. I too love the separate living and sleeping quarters. In addition, the rent isnt bad at all. I miss having those five hundred dollars amount for rent.

Hi, I missed this video. This apartment is much better than the others you posted lately. It is small but the loft gives you a better space for sleep and work. It also has space for storage. The toilet space is small but if you can sit and close the door that’s enough 😊. The kitchenette is small but you can add shelves as you say. And is walking distance to shops and restaurants. So far two 👍🏻 up.

I like this apartment, especially that it has more room through the loft space. I would buy a big refrigerator and place it in the room bevause I need this. With a small fridge you have to go shopping nearly every day.

Everything is so clean and simple. All the heaviness gets alleviated just by looking at them. Thank you, Usui-san for showing them to us.

This one is very nice! I have trouble climbing a ladder due to having rheumatoid arthritis, but if I was healthy I would love this apartment, I think. :)

The viewed apartment is more luxurious. Toilet and shower are separated. Sleeping in the loft is a very good idea. This means there is more space in the living room. Well thought through.

Looks like you could put in a loft bed so that you can sleep on the main floor. I would use the high loft for storage. With a loft bed, you can have a bed big enough for 2 people, but still have a desk/table and room enough for 1-2 people during the day. Great location, and rent seems decent.

Here you are, I've been wondering what you've been up to. I think this is much more spacious. The advantages of this compared to your current apartment, in my opinion, are the small fridge (it's defenitely more convenient to have one) and the bigger space where you can put a larger desk. The disadvantage is of course higher rent.

I like, that living and sleeping are more separated in this apartment.

Did you end up moving into the apartment? It certainly would give you much more space, a refrigerator, a bigger desk, a chance to put some plants in. Basically you’d have more room to spread out.

the colour tone black, white is great to give ppl a cool feeling in the appartment.

I like this best of all the small apartments I've seen especially if there are other amenities nearby. My home in the US is 130 sq ft so I have some experience with being efficient with space.

This should be your next apartment. Much much better and convenient than your old apartment.

This apartment is bigger than the guy's life, that guy's apartment is a smaller studio. The apartment had the smallest living room, but the apartment had a loft make apartment bigger.

Hello Usui. I have watched up to minute 5:02 of your video, and it caused me to answer your question. First, I love that it has a large window, because I like illuminated places. I am worried about the space in the bathroom, because it seems that by closing the door, there is hardly any room to move, and that is if the knees do not collide with the door (that is my impression). But my biggest concern is the location of the bedroom, because if there is an emergency, how safe is it to go down that staircase? You suffer from constant earth tremors. And if it weren't for that, some emergency that requires a quick reaction, well, I don't know if that ladder is the safest way to go down. I hope I have made myself understood. For the rest, except for the size of the bathroom, it seems to me to be a notable improvement compared to the initial apartment. A cordial greeting from Lima, Peru. Blessings.

These places are great if they have 3 things... tall ceilings, large windows, a loft. Those 3 make it a million times more liveable. Im in a *tiny* studio in downtown Boston.

Such apartments are very common in St. Petersburg, in the old housing stock, where there are very high ceilings (4 meters and higher).

Mieszkanie całkiem dobre dla młodej osoby. Podoba mi się możliwość oddzielenia części sypialnej i dziennej. Jedyny minus to brak oddzielnej umywalki w toalecie

The exterior of the building looks good. The interior looks good also, quite a decent size loft. thank you for showing the unit with furniture. Perhaps I would have a 2 seater sofa, and a desk height table that can be used for both work and dining. i wish the stairs is fixed, though you only need it when you sleep. for one person this can be possible.

Only a young person could live in this micro apartment.

Considering that's actually in Tokyo that price is really good. If you're working and just need a place to eat/sleep and keep some of your stuff that's excellent. You could actually save money long term and get a place further out.

Really like this space. And like the other commenter mentioned, switching the spaces around would be a great idea! One thing though, the passage way to the apartment is reaaaly narrow.

It is very beautiful, minimal and functional. For my age the staircase would not be feasible. For me, a small wardrobe where I can hide clothes and bags and a comfortable armchair for relaxing, reading and watching a film before lying down are also essential.🤗

The apartment looks very good

It's twice as big as yours, but also twice as expensive. It's very nice, but that bathroom is unbelievably small.

I would put a bed downstairs. I think it would still fit a little desk - perhaps a corner desk. If not, I would keep a fold up desk under the bed - the sort that you sit on the bed and use it. I think its practical with everything in it. Only problem is that I couldnt bring anyone home to just hang out because its too small, and that would make me feel lonely. Ay $200 a week Australian, that is still quite expensive, but similar to what you would pay here in Australia if laws permitted apartments this small - they dont.

With ceilings this high, I’d be inclined to install a clothes rack on pulleys to store clothing overhead. You’d want to be careful to position it so it doesn’t block your view out the window from the bedroom loft, but it seems a shame not to use all that overhead space!

Very nice apartment as for me. Much space for storage and cosy things. If you have a 2-in-1 washing and drying machine no need in that string (I don't like clothing hanging all over the room 😅). Thanks for the video🤗

yup..still the same, make the loft as storage and living downstairs with a tradisional tatami bed and table

Looks nice and gives what’s necessary but the ladder would be difficult for some with medical issues, older people and people like me who trip over our own feet. One late night trip to the bathroom could be deadly. Also, toilet room is definitely a challenge for anyone with a few extra pounds or just a larger frame.

The apartment is really handsome! The only negative moment in my opinon is separated shower and toilet. I'd remove the wall between them for getting a bit more spacious bathroom. It would function well as both shower and toilet are not be used in the same time.

If I was single and had no other choice. I could live in this apartment. However my game room in my basement. Is already twice as big as this apartment. You couldn't even fit my air hockey table into that apartment.
