The equally yoked thingi is from the bible .It's from a perspective of beliefs, like religiously. Two people from different religions ,their beliefs differ because these religions have different foundations and belief systems, which contradict .So the idea is that you can not have chemistry or strong intimacy if your core values differ .You will go far but not sooo far .So, the equally yoked ideology is from a perspective of belief .I am speaking from a Christian perspective, but yeah.
