I honestly do not know what Melissa could have added for foodie 🤔. I felt the clues were self-explanatory. What was Tiya going for with the personal, office space clue for flare? Good guess from Deondray 👏, Tiya clutched it with prestigious.

I never would have gotten "foodie". I was guessing "gourmet" and "gourmand". The clue for "flare" was a reference to the 1999 movie "Office Space", wherein Jennifer Aniston's character is passive-aggressively reprimanded for not wearing enough "flair" on her waitress outfit. Unfortunately, I don't think the phrase "personal flair" was used in the movie.

Melissa's "foodie" clues were right but said with too much gaps in between. "Person who loves eating, restaurants." She said "Person who loves eating" and then later added "restaurants," because wisely, she didn't want to waste words if not necessary. But the restaurant is a way to specify you're not just talking about someone who eats a lot at home or eats a lot of hot dogs, etc.

I was playing along with the bonus round while covering the words and I couldn't get "illegal" either. Should have said "against the law." He was tripped up not being able to say "legal."

I was playing along without seeing the word and "not allowed, in jail" etc. made me think of things like "prohibited." When I learned the word was "illegal," I thought to get me there, he would have to mention it was "against the law." Otherwise, I'm thinking of "no trespassing" signs, etc.

I would have struggled more so with powder than lily, that is a stinky board with only 10 words. For powder my clues would have been Johnson’s baby dust. Lily = round, floating leaf (lily pad/water lily). Good pass by Tiya 👏.

I was playing along and when she said "shiny nose," i said "Rudolph" and then she said "use...." and I said "Powder" but I don't think the ladies heard her say "Use."

If missing out by one bonus round word was an art, then these guys are the Picasso’s of it 😩. Illegal = acts forbidden/prohibited/banned by law. Or maybe list illegal acts as clues potentially 🧐. Chris was more or less on the right track there. Unlucky 😢 better luck next time.

"It's like a curtain for your face...why don't you just get the full drapes?" Dang, Melissa is funny! With the first round, Melissa said a word and they didn't hear her. If they don't ask her to repeat, she can't repeat without losing a word! Guessers really need to say 'repeat' when they miss a word. It's surprising how often that happens. Also, everyone was wasting so many words with 'opposite' and 'synonym' - which isn't a good choice when the answer can easily be guessed without it. But the ultimate irony was that "opposite lawful" would probably have worked in the money round!!

Ironically, Katrina was more competitive than her sister when bidding right down to 9 compared to Christina’s 12 😂. Fair play to her for really pushing Deondray in the second round 🫡.

OMG you have 9 words and you say SYNONYM twice????!!!!! And two words for STREET????? Road, avenue, boulevard, etc. She was SO lucky they got all the words!!!!!!!!

Synonym is sometimes necessary. If you say "mouth" they don't know if you're saying "chew, eat, talk" or if you're trying to get to "lips."

@@johnsmi213 You’ve said this before and I disagree. If I say mouth with neutral intonation, the default interpretation is that I’m looking for a synonym. Using synonym for 2/9 words is especially amateurish.
