Note: if you don't pick a blank sound slot for the pads you sample to, you won't be able to use the tip about retaking samples. This only applies when you hold Sound and enter in blank sample numbers on the pads you intend to sample to BEFORE you enter sample mode.

I was sampling yesterday as well and had to do multiple takes for gain staging. I noticed that even though I pressed the sample button again ( I assumed I was doing retakes), the machine still saved the samples from the previous takes. Unfortunately, even using the same key, a new sample is created. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Thanks for the heads-up so I don't mislead people! It turns out my tip only applies when you pick the sample numbers ahead of time like I do in the video. I'll add a note to the description.

Thanks for sharing all of these undocumented tips and features. Some of them, like the light levels for the fx, are staring you in the face but can go unnoticed. Once you point them out though, it’s like duh, of course! Others are really hidden.

Can you show how to send groups to different effects? Is that done by holding down the group while holding down effects and soloing that effect for that group? The manual confused me haha

Unfortunately, the KO2 can only have one effect active at a time. You can adjust the send level to that effect for the 4 groups and incoming audio but can't send them to different effects.

@@windowbed Bummer. The way the manual reads I thought you can do one effect per group.

Quantize a single note in time would be nice

I might be able to help! If you're looking to quantize a note in an already-recorded sequence you could either move it over by holding shift and the pad and hitting + or - while the sequencer isn't running (like in this video), or you could hit the pads you want to quantize when you're in timing correct mode while the sequencer is running. If you want to punch-in a single note and have it be quantized, you might want to try holding the Timing button briefly while you're recording. I think I cover that in the second tips & tricks video but I could be wrong.
